Water and Tree of Life.  
Pure river of water of life.
“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Revelation 22:1

Ezekiel describes the Holy City throughout Ezekiel chapters 40-47. By the Spirit of the Lord, Ezekiel describes the Water of Life flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, as written in Ezekiel 47:1-2. Click for the post on Ezekiel 47. Nothing like that will ever be built on this earth, nor can be by the hands of people, because those are eternal waters flowing from the Spirit of God and of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit in us the guarantee of our eternal inheritance, our inheritance where the pure Water of Life flows, as quoted, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance…” Ephesians 1:13-14 Our Lord Jesus gives us the Water of Life through the Holy Spirit, “…but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:14

How can we know that we have the Holy Spirit and eternal life? If we do not speak against Christ Jesus and can call Him Lord, then we have the Holy Spirit, “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:3

Tree of life with twelve fruits and leaves of healing.
“In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Revelation 22:2

The “twelve” is a number that is symbolic for every nation around the world. That refers to the “Twelve Tribes of Israel” which are every person whose faith is in Jesus Christ. We are the new Israel, as quoted, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:28-29 Every Believer will enter into the New Jerusalem through one of the twelve gates, and each gate is given one of the names of the twelve tribes of Israel [Revelations 21:12]. In the eternal New Jerusalem, we are the eternal new Israel.

The tree of life that blossoms with twelve fruits is for every born-again Believer from all over the world…from many different countries, languages, skin color, etc. We are one in Jesus Christ. In the New Jerusalem, we drink from the pure river of the Water of Life and eat from the fruit of the Tree of Life. The fruit from the Tree of Life blossoms eternally, every month for all twelve months. The fruit is for all twelve tribes, for every born-again Believer who enters through the gates of pearl to be brought into the New Jerusalem.

The leaves are for the healing of the nations, the nations of the born-again believers in Heaven. The “Twelve Tribes of Isarel” were called nations and since we are the new Israel, passing through one of the twelve gates, we are those nations.

No more curse and God’s name is on our forehead.
“And there will be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His servants will serve Him. They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.” Revelation 22:3-4

There is no more curse in Heaven and that is the curse of sin. When Jesus Christ gave His life on the Cross, He became sin for us in the sense that sin was crucified and defeated on the Cross. When Jesus breathed His last, the atonement for sin was completed and the curse of sin died with Him. “For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:10-11 Instead of the curse of sin, in the New Jerusalem the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there and we will serve Him, forever free from the curse of sin and death. We will see His face and His name will be on our forehead. In the days when the Bible was written, marks were branded on the forehead to show everyone who somebody belonged to. God’s name on our forehead means that we are His people and He is our God.

“So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.” 1 Corinthians 15:42-44

God gives the Light as we live eternally.
“There will be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they will reign forever and ever.” Revelation 22:5

Global warming may be a problem on this earth (and indeed is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9), but in the New Jerusalem there is no need for the sun. “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.” Revelations 21:1 There is no need for any lights at all because there is no night there. The Lord God is the Light of the eternal New Jerusalem. We will reign with Christ Jesus forever.

The Revelation is trustworthy and true; Jesus Christ is coming quickly.
The words of the Revelation are faithful and true.
“Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.” Revelations 22:6

The words of the book of Revelations are true; from our need to repent through Jesus Christ [John 3:16] to the corruption of five of the seven churches of Revelations chapters 2 through 3, to the opening of the Seven Seals of Revelations 6, to the events of the Seven Trumpets of Revelations 8, 9, and 11], to the events of the Seven Thunders of Revelations 10, to the events of the Seven Plagues of Revelations 16, to the Great White Throne Judgment of Revelations 20:11-15, to eternal life in the New Jerusalem.

Global warming is already in the world and is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. The more powerful the United Nations become as the undisputed one world government of the beast, the more intense the effects of global warming become. “Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.” Revelations 16:8-9

Jesus Christ comes quickly, hold to the prophecies of the Revelation.
“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” Revelations 22:7

Blessed is all of us who keeps the words of the prophecy of the book of Revelations. The book of Revelations is meant to be read by every person who lives for God, through Jesus Christ, in the presence of the Holy Spirit. “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place… Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelations 1:1,3

As Christians, we are not to worship angels, but we worship God only.
“Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”  Revelations 22:8-9

The Lord God is the only One who is to be worshipped, and that includes the Godhead of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Christ Jesus reconciles us to God by the forgiveness of sin, “…who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” Hebrews 1:3-4 Blaspheme against the Holy Spirit is not forgiven, “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.” Matthew 12:13 “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:3

Not even the angels of Heaven are to be reverenced above the Holy Trinity, “Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels…” Colossians 2:18 We do not regard any angel or saint as the focus of our worship and adoration because that reverence belongs to God alone.

Today is the time of unsealing the events of the Revelation.
“And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.” Revelations 22:10

We are living in the time when the Revelations are able to be understood. We recognize that we are living during the unsealing of the events of Revelations, and indeed the message to us is, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.”

It is quite evident that the beast mentioned in Revelations is among us. That beast has power over physiology and is able to give people what to say, do think, and feel. The beast gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people. Let the unjust remain unjust and let the righteous remain righteous.
“He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.” Revelations 22:11

We are living in times when the heart, mind, and soul of people are hardened against the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They do not believe in God the Creator and do not want the Holt Spirit to be part of who they are. That is the situation worldwide. Our Lord Jesus says to us that the night would come when no one would be able to work to spread His testimony, as quoted, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:4-5 In these days, “He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”

Jesus Christ gives an open invitation into the New Jerusalem.
Jesus Christ comes quickly and brings His reward with Him.
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Revelations 22:12-13

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

Our Lord Jesus is the beginning of all creation and is the end of all creation, He is the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.

We who hold to the Gospel of Christ will access the Tree of Life in the New Jerusalem.
“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.” Revelations 22:14

His commandments are to live by the Spirit and not to walk by the flesh, “Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he will never see death…he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life...unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 8:51, John 5:24, John 3:3, 6

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Outside the New Jerusalem are those who despise Holiness.
“But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.” Revelations 22:15

Those who have no entry into the eternal New Jerusalem are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

In the Bible, sorcerers predominantly refer to those who practiced magic, divination, or the occult. Today, “sorcerers” are equivalent to those who serve the beast that has power over physiology to give people what to feel, think, say, and do. “Dogs” refer to those who are spiritually corrupt, not allowing their human spirit to mix with the Holy Spirit, who walks by carnal instincts to fulfill the desires of the flesh. They serve the creature instead of the Creator.

The message of Revelations is from Jesus Christ, the Bright and Morning Star.
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” Revelations 22:16

Christ Jesus is the Bright and Morning Star. He will be the shining Morning Star when the night of the turbulence of this world is over. He returns as King of kings to bring eternal Salvation to all who believe in Him.

The Jewish people were expecting an offspring of king David to restore the Jewish people as a nation on this earth. However, Christ Jesus is that Offspring of David, who has come to establish an eternal Kingdom, the New Jerusalem. King David was from the tribe of Judah, and so was Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ gives an open invitation to drink from the Water of Life.
“And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelations 22:17

That offer is for whoever wants to come to God through Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of unbelief, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Do not add nor take away from the Word of God.
“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” revelations 22:18-19

Jesus Christ is coming quickly.
“He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” Revelations 22:20-21
