“In that day…” Isaiah 28:5a

“In that day” refers to when the Lord brings down the global government of the beast and its global culture, as quoted, “Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, like a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, like a flood of mighty waters overflowing, who will bring them down to the earth with His hand.” Isaiah 28:2 Click for the post on Isaiah 28:1-4

“…the Lord of hosts will be for a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the remnant of His people…” Isaiah 28:5b

That verse is comparing the Lord as a crown of glory and beauty compared to the crown of pride and fading beauty of the global government of the beast and its global culture, as quoted, “The crown of pride…will be trampled underfoot; And the glorious beauty is a fading flower …” Isaiah 28:3 The remnant of His people refers to the Jewish people, who acknowledge Jesus as the Christ and Son of God, after the Battle of Armageddon, as described in the post on the Day After from Ezekiel 39. The remnant also refers to everyone who remains faithful to God, through Jesus Christ, in the presence of the Holy Spirit. “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelations 13:8 The “him” in that verse is the beast of the image and mark of the beast.

Through Jesus Christ, the Lord has made us His royal people, and He is to us a crown of glory and beauty, as quoted, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10

“For a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.” Isaiah 28:6

Our Lord Jesus is the spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, which means through Him, in the presence of the Holy Spirit, those who sit in judgment will judge according to the justice of God, with Jesus Christ the Lord, and in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The Christ, whose name is Jesus, says this, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:8-19  As followers of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit speaks these words to us, “Do you not know that we will judge angels?” 1 Corinthians 6:3

We are given strength in the presence of the Holy Spirit to turn back the battle at the gate. The battle at the gate is the spiritual warfare over our soul. The gate is entry into the presence of the Spirit of God, by the remission of sin through Jesus Christ, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God…” 1 Corinthians 6:19

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:12-13 The Armor of God includes; truth, righteousness, Gospel of peace, faith, Salvation, the word of God, prayer in the Spirit from within our soul, and perseverance. Satan does not want us to have fellowship with the Spirit of God and does not want us to be born-again to live by the Spirit instead of the flesh. Our born-again experience is the Gospel of Jesus Christ written on our heart. Satan, through his beast, wants to use our body [the temple of God] to set self up as if he is God from within us. That is done by the power over physiology to give people what to think, feel, speak, and do. Satan’s beast is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click for a post on that.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
