Glorious beauty of the earthly Garden of Eden is a fading flower, even before the peak of its blossoming season.

“Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower which is at the head of the verdant valleys, to those who are overcome with wine!” Isaiah 28:1

A short background of Ephraim is that Esau is its founder, and Esau sold his birthright to Jacob. That represents the Jewish people rejecting their birthright that entitled them into the Kingdom of God when they rejected Jesus as the Christ and Son of God. The birthright into the eternal Kingdom of God has been given to we who live for Christ, Jesus. Our Lord Jesus says this to the Jewish people about the Kingdom being given to the followers of Jesus Christ, “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.” Matthew 21:432

Whenever there is a “Woe”, or prophecy against a nation, it’s because the people of the nation oppose God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Today, that nation is the global government of the beast and its global culture. They reject every person of the Holy Trinity in order to serve the beast that gives them what to speak, do, think, and feel. The beast gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people. By what they are given to say and do, they are groomed to the mark, name, number of the beast.

The “crown of pride” refers to the pride of the global culture who boast, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelations 13:4 The beast they serve is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 The beast sits in the temple of God, our body, by giving people what to think, feel, say, and do. In the Bible, by the Spirit of God, “drunkards” refer to people who are not in a sober frame-of-mind when it comes to reverence for God, being able to see Jesus as the Christ and Savior, and opposing the presence of the Holy Spirit. They have become intoxicated by serving the beast, and are egocentric in the way they exalt themselves above God. They feel no remorse and no need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ. They oppose, ridicule, and manipulate the presence of the Holy Spirit as they detest the life of Holiness. The world fills with anti-social activity, with no empathy for others within their superficial charm.

This is spoken about today’s culture, which is global, “I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. Today, the United Nations, through which the government of the beast operates, prides themselves in the goal of creating an earthly Garden of Eden, to restore the earth with vibrant green growth. They promote the “Sustainable Development Goals” as a pathway to that goal. However, their glorious beauty is a fading flower in their drunken posture against God the Creator and His Son Jesus, the Savior of the world. The Lord speaks these words about their earthly Garden of Eden, “A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be any such after them…A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; The land is like the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness…” Joel 2:2-3

They are overcome with wine by believing they can exalt themselves into the role of the Creator and Savior to save humanity and the planet from the destruction to come.

“Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, like a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, like a flood of mighty waters overflowing, who will bring them down to the earth with His hand.” Isaiah 28:2

The Mighty and Strong Man of the Lord is His Son Jesus Christ, who has come humbly as the Savior of the world, as prophesied, “Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey…” Zachariah 9:9 as quoted in Matthew 21:5. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 In contrast, when He returns, He comes riding on a white stallion, as the King of kings, like a violent windy hailstorm, a destroying storm, floods of mighty waters [like tsunamis and other massive floodings], by which He brings down the global government of the beast and tis global culture.

“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war…He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses….And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS….Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.” Revelations 19:11, 13-14, 17-18

Today, we hear a lot about global warming, climate change, how much the velocity of the wind is increasing on a routine basis, violent storms increasing in their destructive power, flooding and tsunamis becoming more threatening, etc. We are definitely seeing the truth of the word of God happening in front of our eyes. Global warming, the leading event of climate change, is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9.

The Lord wants us to be aware that He is in control of the events happening upon this earth, and He wants us to believe Him, to live for His Son Jesus Christ, and to welcome the Holy Spirit to be part of who we are. However, “…they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.” Revelations 16:9

Our Lord Jesus showed the power of God over the winds and waves, “Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” Matthew 8:23-27

Put your hand in the hand of Jesus who stilled the water, put your hand in the hand of Jesus who calmed the sea.

“The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, will be trampled underfoot; And the glorious beauty is a fading flower which is at the head of the verdant valley, like the first fruit before the summer, which an observer sees; He eats it up while it is still in his hand.” Isaiah 28:3-4

The world has seen that happen to Israel. When the Jewish people were gathered to Israel in 1948, that was the first fruit before the summer. That is when the State of Israel was established. However, Israel never ripened with the summer fruits. That’s because they have been in 19 wars since 1948, even a war in 1948. Click for a list of those wars. The Lord said He would eat up their fruit before the summer fruit arrived. Israel is the place where God determined to unleash the wrath of His judgment on them, as described in Ezekiel 22:19-22. The “crown of pride” of the global culture, which is the beast that gives them what to do, feel, think, and say, will be trampled underfoot. That happens during the events of the Seven Trumpets of Revelations 8, 9, and 11, the Seven Thunders of Revelations 10, and the Seven Plagues of Revelations 16. The power center of the beast is plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11.

The glorious beauty of the global culture is its creation of an earthly Garden of Eden. That beauty is a fading flower at the head of a fertile, lush, and prosperous place. The “green planet” will fade. The “head” represents a place easily seen by those observing the field. People will witness the fading of the global and earthly Garden of Eden. The beauty of the “green planet” is like the first fruit before the summer. The first fruits before the summer are the fruits that ripen before the peak of the ripening season, early bloomers. The earthly Garden of Eden, of the global culture, will be plucked before it even comes to the peak of ripening season. The Lord is going to eat up this present world system while it is still in hand, before it can have a more useful future.

“For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, He will both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks and take away and cut down the branches.” Isaiah 18:5 Click here for a post on Isaiah 18:3-6.

In the post on Revelations 8, it is described how the global government will experience “1/2 hour” of silence from Heaven before the unleashing of the events of the Seven Trumpets of Revelations 8, 9, and 11, the Seven Thunders of Revelations 10, and the Seven Plagues of Revelations 16. That “1/2 hour” of silence is a very brief time of the blossoming and fertility for the earthly “Garden of Eden”. “When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour…and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand…so the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.” Revelations 8:1, 4, 6

No sooner than the United Nations become the undisputed one world government, they begin to fade and wither in face of the wrath of God’s judgment against them. The United Nations was established in 1945, immediately after World War 2, and brought the government of the beast with it, as described in Daniel 8:1-14. Already, global warming is here to play a role in causing the lush, fertile, and prosperous hopes of an earthly Garden of Eden to fade. Global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9, as quoted, “Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.”
