Instead of joy and feasting there should be repentance towards God through Jesus Christ.

“And in that day the Lord God of hosts called for weeping and for mourning, for baldness and for girding with sackcloth. But instead, joy and gladness, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating meat and drinking wine: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!” Isaiah 22:12-13

“In that day” refers to the Lord removing His protection from Israel, as described in the post on Isaiah 22:8-11. As we see today, those of the State of Israel should be weeping and mourning because of the conflict and hardships they have faced, and are facing in these modern times. A shaven, bald, head and wearing sackcloth were signs of mourning, which the Lord expects of the Jewish people of today. The Lord expects them to mourn in a way that brings repentance towards Him, through Jesus Christ, in the presence of the Holy Spirit. “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.” 2 Corinthians 7:10

Since the State of Israel was established in 1948, they have been in 19 wars, even a war in 1948. Click for a list of those wars. The State of Israel is being broken down, as seen in how large of a portion of Israel is referred to as the West Bank, and Jerusalem is now broken between West and East Jerusalem. Instead of weeping and mourning in repentance towards God, through Jesus Christ, they express joy, gladness, feasting, and making merry. Much of that has to do with the beast that has power over physiology to give them what to feel, do, think, and say. In truth, the Israeli citizens riot and protest against their own government to demand conformity with the goals of the United Nations. Those goals include whittling away the sovereignty of Israel to bring unification of the Middle East as the United Nations drives forwards in being established as the undisputed one world government [global government of the beast]. Today, Israel has the most liberal abortion rights in the world, and they embrace the rise of the LGBQT lifestyles, which are in conformity to what the United Nations wants to see in every nation around the world.

“Then it was revealed in my hearing by the Lord of hosts, “Surely for this iniquity there will be no atonement for you, even to your death,” says the Lord God of hosts.” Isaiah 22:14

There is no forgiveness for the Jewish people, no forgiveness for the Israelis, because instead of mourning for their rejection of Jesus Christ, they continue on with life as if everything is normal. In their constant afflictions, they should realize that something is amiss, but they don’t, or they cry out to the beast as their god and reject God the Creator. “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you will see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’…Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.” Matthew 23:38-39 Matthew 21:43 Christianity is the nation that has the fruit of the kingdom of God.

Our Lord Jesus brought the truth to the Jewish people about 2000 years ago, but to this day they reject Jesus as the Christ and Son of God, “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation…” Hebrews 10:26-27

By habitually and ritualistically rejecting the Christ, whose name is Jesus, they are blaspheming the Holy Spirit, “…he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”—  …Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” Mark 3:29, 1 Corinthians 12:3

If the Jewish people would have said “Yes!” to Jesus 2000 years ago, none of the conflict and hardships they are going through now would be happening. That’s because instead of being a Jewish culture, they would be part of the family of Jesus Christ. We are of different colors, in many different countries, and are not known as any one specific national culture, as quoted, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28 In that light, the State of Israel would never have existed and the Jewish culture would have faded away into a Christian identity. As followers of Jesus Christ, we do not have a country on this earth to call our own, our nation is the eternal New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth.
