Iran and the kings of the east come against Israel.

Isaiah 22:5-7

“For it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity by the Lord God of hosts in the Valley of Vision—Breaking down the walls and of crying to the mountain.” Isaiah 22:5

The prophecy against the “Valley of Vision” is a prophecy against Jerusalem, described in the post on Isaiah 22:1-4.

That day is a day of trouble for Jerusalem, a day of her being treaded down and filled with perplexity, unable to come to grips with what is happening. Today, we already see the trouble of Jerusalem setting-in, even as the State of Israel is being treaded down. Presently, Jerusalem is no longer whole, being divided between West and East Jerusalem. West Jerusalem is in Israel while East Jerusalem is in the territory of the West Bank. Presently, the plan of the United Nations is to turn the West Bank and the Gaza Strip into the Palestinian State, like when Israel became a state in 1948. That would be called the “Two State Solution”, which the government of Israel is vehemently opposed to. The walls of Israel are definitely being broken down, and everyone around the world hears them crying out through their guns and bombs.

Israel has been in 19 wars since being established as the State of Israel in 1948. Click here for a list of those wars. Since being gathered to Israel, it has been a day of trouble, treading down, perplexity, breaking down the walls, and crying to the mountains for all the world to hear.

The Lord said that the land of Israel would be the place where He would unleash His wrath upon the Jewish people, “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you. Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst. As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so shall you be melted in its midst; then you shall know that I, the Lord, have poured out My fury on you.’” Ezekiel 22:19-22

On the map below, you can see how much of the land of Israel has already been treaded down by the encroachment of the West Bank. The West Bank, plus the Gaza Strip [southwest corner of Israel on the Mediterranean Sea] is the planned territory of the yet to be recognized Palestinian State.

“Elam bore the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield.” Isaiah 22:6

Elam was east of the Euphrates river, which is east of Jerusalem, as seen on the map below. Today Elam has become the territory of Iran. Kir was probably the the territory of Syria today, but definitely working hand-in-hand with Elam. Which would be like the ISIS forces of the Syria of today working in harmony with Iran against Jerusalem of the State of Israel. We are definitely seeing the fulfillment of Bible prophecy happening before our eyes.

Elam bore the quiver that carried the arrows of war with the chariots of men and horsemen. Today, Iran is known to be a sponsor of terrorism around the world, not just a sponsor, but a whole national government dedicated to global terrorism. They are referred to by the United States and Israel as a “state sponsor of terrorism”. Kir uncovered the shield, meaning removing the shield from its case in order to prepare for battle. This would be like the countries sponsored by Iran preparing themselves to come against Israel. Iran and those it sponsors are only part of what is coming against Israel and to the world.

As seen on the map below, not only is Iran east of the Euphrates River, but so is China, Russia, and North Korea. When the Battle of Armageddon comes in the Sixth Plague of Revelations 12-16, the Euphrates River will be dried up to make a way for the kings of the east to bring war, on a global scale, “Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared….And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.” Revelations 16:12, 16 The post on Ezekiel 39 describes the Day After the Battle of Armageddon, and the devastation and survivors of Israel.

Today, China and Russia are two of the three most powerful nations of the world, and both sit on the security council of the United Nations. That means they vote on whether or not battle and other punishment are brought against other countries. When the United Nations become the undisputed one world government, the atheist nations will dominate and have their way in the United Nations. They are those who live and govern for the beast that gives them what to speak, do, think, and feel. That is why it is called the government of the beast…the global government of the beast. However, the power center of the beast is plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. The global government will be powerless and lose control over the global culture. Those in power will do battle the old-fashioned way to try to maintain control of their global power. That is when the Battle of Armageddon comes in.

Global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9 and is instrumental in bringing the collapse of the power center of the beast.

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelations 1:1-3

On the map below, you can see Elam [circled in red, to the east on the map and about half-way up]. The name “Euphrates River” is circled in red, to the west of Elam a couple of inches . Iran, China, Russia, and North Korea are east of the Euphrates. Some say Kir was east of the Tigris River [circled in red above and between “Elam” and “Euphrates River”. Some say Kir was part of Mesopotamia, some say it was located as part of modern-day Syria. But wherever Kir was located, it was an ally to Iran and the kings of the east.

“It will come to pass that your choicest valleys will be full of chariots, and the horsemen will set themselves in array at the gate.” Isaiah 22:7

It will come to pass that Israel’s choicest valleys will be full of chariots. That is the day of the Battle of Armageddon. Even today, the horsemen are arrayed at Israel’s gates. The choicest valleys refer to a place called Megiddo located in the Jezreel Valley. As seen on the map below, Megiddo is a tiny bit north of the northern tip of the West Bank. The word, “Armageddon”, is derived from the word “Megiddo”

“The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! The Lord of hosts musters the army for battle. They come from a far country, from the end of heaven—The Lord and His weapons of indignation, to destroy the whole land. Wail, for the day of the Lord is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty.” Isaiah 13:4-6

A remnant of Israel will be saved, those who turn to God through Jesus Christ, as described in the post on the Day After from Ezekiel 39. “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you will see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Matthew 23:38-39
