The verses of this post are speaking of the Day of the Lord, as described in the post on Isaiah 30:27-28
“You will have a song as in the night when a holy festival is kept, and gladness of heart as when one goes with a flute, to come into the mountain of the Lord, to the Mighty One of Israel.” Isaiah 30:29
Each one of us followers of Jesus Christ have a song in the night. That song is, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Revelations 7:10 The night in which we are singing is within the darkness of this present world that serves the beast that gives them what to say, do, think, and feel. They are egocentric in the way they exalt themselves above God. They feel no remorse and no need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ. They oppose, ridicule, and manipulate the presence of the Holy Spirit as they detest the life of Holiness. The world fills with anti-social activity, with no empathy for others within their superficial charm. “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelations 13:8
In the spiritual night of this world, we have gladness of heart, like having our own personal Holy festival, and the flute of the Holy Spiri tis heard within our heart and soul. “Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls—Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.” Habakkuk 3:17-19 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.” Psalms 23:4-6
In this spiritually dark world, we know our destiny is to the mountain of the Lord, to the Mighty One of Israel, our Lord Jesus Christ, “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant…” Hebrews 12:22-24
“The Lord will cause His glorious voice to be heard, and show the descent of His arm, with the indignation of His anger and the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, tempest, and hailstones.” Isaiah 30:30
For us who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ, His glorious voice is heard through the turmoil of this world. Global warming is in the world today, causing much havoc globally, and is the force behind the whole of climate change. Global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. We are seeing the beginning of the descent of His arm, the indignation of his anger, and the flame of a devouring fire, which comes with scattering, winds, and hailstones.
The turmoil within the world today is the labor pains of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, “A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.” John 16:20-22
“For through the voice of the Lord, Assyria will be beaten down, as He strikes with the rod. And in every place where the staff of punishment passes, which the Lord lays on him, it will be with tambourines and harps; and in battles of brandishing, He will fight with it.” Isaiah 30:31-32
When the Lord beats a nation down with His rod, it’s because they build their culture on destroying His people, they reject God as the Creator, they discard the need for Jeus Christ and even fight against the presence of the Holy Spirit. The Lord is going to beat down this present world system, and its global culture, because they choose to live for the beast that gives them what to say, do, think, and feel. The beast gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people. By what they are given to say and do, they are groomed to the mark, name, number of the beast.
While we see the punishment of the Lord that He is laying upon this world, the sounds of tambourines and harps are heard. That is the sound of every person who holds to the testimony of Jesus Christ. We rejoice to the tune of, “You are righteous, O Lord, the One who is and who was and who is to be, because You have judged these things. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due.” Revelations 16:5-6 Our Lord will fight for us while we rejoice in His vigorous battles against this world.
“Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord...For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Romans 12:19, Ephesians 6:12-13 The Armor of God includes the truth of the word of God, righteousness found in Jesus Christ, the Gospel of peace, faith to shield against attacks, knowing our Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ, and praying in the Spirit [which words cannot express].
“For Tophet was established of old, yes, for the king it is prepared. He has made it deep and large; Its pyre is fire with much wood; The breath of the Lord, like a stream of brimstone, kindles it.” Isaiah 30:33
Tophet was known to be a place where the Israelites were making their children “pass through the fire” as human sacrifices. That is like today’s culture that has made the killing of children a ritual through the practice of abortion. Children are also made human sacrifices by giving them over to the beast that has power over physiology to mold what they feel, think, say, and do. The post on Revelations 12 describes the extinguishing of Christian births.
“Tophet” had a lot of fires built for sacrificing children, but now those fires are prepared for the “king” of this present world system. That king is the beast that gives people what to speak, do, think, and feel. The place of that fire has been made deep and large, with much firewood, and the breath of the Lord is like a stream of brimstone that kindles it, “The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Revelations 20:10
In the law Moses, the Israelites were specifically warned not to sacrifice their children to the false God of Molech, who was in Tophet, which is to warn us against abortion today, “And you will not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech, nor will you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.” Leviticus 18:21 “You will not worship the Lord your God in that way; for every abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. Deuteronomy 12:31
“And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, nor did it come into My heart. Jeremiah 7:31
Josiah restored true worship by ending the sacrifice of children, “And he defiled Topheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter pass through the fire to Molech.” 2 Kings 23:10
“For when you offer your gifts and make your sons pass through the fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols, even to this day. So will I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live,” says the Lord God, “I will not be inquired of by you. What you have in your mind will never be, when you say, ‘We will be like the Gentiles, like the families in other countries, serving wood and stone.’” Ezekiel 20:31-32 Click for post on Ezekiel 20:27-49
