Daniel summarizes the dream, or nightmare, of Nebuchadnezzar.

“You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome.” Daniel 2:31

Overall summary.
The great image that Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream was of a man. The image had a head, chest, arms, belly, thighs, legs, and feet. All parts of that “man” was some type of metal, with the feet and toes mixed with clay. Clay represents our humanness whereas metal is artificial to the human spirit. That gives us an image of an artificial man. That corresponds to what the book of Revelations says about the number of the beast being the number of a “man”, as quoted, “Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” Revelations 13:18 In other words, because it is a number and can be calculated, that refers to an artificial intelligence where the “man”, or humanity, becomes one with artificial intelligence [the clay mixing with metal]. That describes the beast that has power over the natural processes of people, has power over physiology, to give people what to speak, do, think, and feel. In essence, the “man” that Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream, or nightmare, is humanity of today that serves for the image of the beast that speaks and lives through them. Click for a post on the number of the beast is the number of the man.

While many speak of the different parts of the “man” representing Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, and Western Europe, we also realize that Bible prophecy is directed at all the nations of the world, not just the eastern hemisphere. While Babylon did fall to Persia and Greece, the image of the “man” in Nebuchadnezzar’s nightmare is destroyed by Jesus Christ, as described in verses 34 and 35 of this section. At that time, destruction comes to all the nations of the world, not just five. From that, we understand that the global system of the artificial “man” of today is destroyed from head to toe by the return of our Lord Jesus.

“This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay.” Daniel 2:32-33

Head of gold.
While the head of gold is said to represent Babylon, we know that the book of Revelations describes Babylon as the global government of the beast, as quoted by the following verses, “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Revelations 17:5 That verse is referring to the formation of the global government, as described in the post on Revelations 17. “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal. For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.” Revelations 18:2-3 “And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Revelations 14:8 “Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.” Revelations 16:19

With the “head of gold” being associated with “Babylon”, the global government of the beast, we know what that “head of gold ” is. That represents the beast that has power over physiology to be able to give people what to think, do, say, and feel. That beast empowers people with uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, etc. The beast gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people. By what they are given to say and do, people are conformed to the mark, name, number of the beast. The “head of gold” represents the most valuable part of today’s artificial people, the global culture of the beast.

Chest and arms of silver.
The chest and arms of silver are less important than the “head of gold”, referring to silver not being as valuable as gold. The arms enable the body to gather resources, to give, to take, show affection through hugs, to eat, to clothe self, to work, play, etc. However, all of that is not more important than the “head of gold” that gives those arms what to do, who to hug, etc. The chest of silver represents a person’s pride, self-esteem, confidence, dignity, etc. It is the central point of a person’s posture. While today’s culture, which is global, stresses all of those things to build a kinder world, a person’s dignity and self-esteem is not more important than the “head of gold” that gives people what to feel and think.

Belly and thighs of bronze.
The belly and thighs of “bronze” are even less important than the “silver” arms and chest, and much less important than the head of “gold”. The belly is for food, and under the global government of the beast, being austere with the consumption of resources is important to keep humanity geared up for the long road ahead. That is what the cashless society is all about, brought by the digital currency. In other words, fulfilling carnal desires, involving eating even, is far less important than the “head of gold” that has power over physiology to give people what to feel, think, say, and do. Click for a post on GENIUS Act” which is a law passed to make the U.S.A. the “crypto-capital of the world”. The thighs are the upper part of the legs, joined at the hip to enable movement. Mobility within the global culture of the beast is far less important than the “head of gold”. The intent of the global government is to reduce consumption of the earth’s resources, fuel, and energy by bringing travel and mobility to an absolute minimum.

Legs of Iron.
The legs of iron are less important than the thighs of bronze even, and much less important than the head of gold. The thighs are what gives the lower legs their movement. Within the culture of the beast, which is global, being motivated to move, travel, etc. is less important than the forces that give the empowerment to be able to mobilize. The “legs of iron” are far, far less important than the “head of gold” that has power over physiology to motivate people through their feelings, behaviors, words, and thoughts.

Feet partly of iron and partly of clay.
This is where everything becomes very interesting; the feet are partly of iron and partly of clay. Clay represents the human spirit and human physiology, and happens to be the very, very least important of everything else about the “man”. Clay is often associated with a potter, that molds and fashions the clay into whatever the potter wants it to be. In the case of the global government of the beast, the beast that has power over physiology is the potter that molds the human being into its image. The beast molds people into the image of the beast by giving breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people. People are molded to the mark, name, number of the beast by what they are given to say and do. The human spirit and natural human processes are useless to the beast who wants to govern through people by its artificial intelligence. The image of the beast speaking and living through people is the iron that is part of human physiology. Iron mixed with clay is the far, far, far from the importance given to the “head of gold” that makes people what they are to the culture of the beast.

The human being has extremely little value to the government of the beast and will be killed for not serving the image of the beast [the “head of gold”], “He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.” Revelations 13:15 Click for post on the image of the beast.

The human spirit has extreme value to God because that is how He fellowships with each one of us, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Joh 4:24. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16 We are not to mix the Spirit of God with the beast that give what to say and do, “For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 The beast wants to harden the human spirit and conscience against Jesus Christ to prevent the Holy Spirit from mixing within our spirit. By hardening a person against the Spirit, people become receptive to live by the beast that gives them what to think, feel, say, and do. That is the beast who “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click for a post on that.

Christ Jesus returns to destroy the image of the man that Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream.

“You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.” Daniel 2:34-35

Daniel is describing what Nebuchadnezzar was watching when he had his dream, or nightmare. He watched a stone being cut out without hands, meaning it wasn’t a stone that could be chiseled and molded by any amount of human effort. It wasn’t a stone of this world, but is the Stone sent from Heaven, and that stone is our Lord Jesus, “This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’” Acts 4:11 which is a prophecy from Psalms 118:2.

The world system of today, the “Babylon” of today, has rejected the stone not cut out by human hands, they reject Christ Jesus, they do not believe in God who sent Him, and they do not want the Holy Spirit to be part of who they are. Jesus Christ is the One who will strike the image of the “man” that stands on the feet of iron and clay. In other words, the global government of the beast [image of the “man”] and its global culture [feet of iron and clay] will be broken to pieces. That happens when Christ Jesus returns as King of kings, as described in Revelations 19:11-18.

When Christ Jesus returns, that is when the iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold will be crushed together. That is the entire destruction of “Babylon”, the global government of the beast, along with its global culture. The power center of the beast [head of gold] is plunged into darkness, as described in Revelations 16:10-11, which renders the global government and its global culture powerless. Every aspect of the government of the beast will be destroyed from head to toe, broken into pieces. Every nation under the global government of the beast, all around the world will be destroyed. Not just five nations, not just the eastern hemisphere, but every nation on all seven continents will be destroyed.

All the nations and people of this world will be destroyed, except everyone who believes in the word of God through Jesus Christ, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” John 3:16-19

Upon the return of Christ Jesus, nations and people of the culture of the beast will be like the chaff blowing in the wind after being separated from the wheat on the threshing floor, “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:12 There will be no trace remaining of this present world system. This present heaven and earth will pass away, but a new heaven and earth is created where our eternal home exist in the New Jerusalem, “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Revelations 21:1-2

“ And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.” The stone that strikes the image of the beast, the global government of the beast, and its global culture is our Lord Jesus Christ. He has become a great mountain and has filled the whole earth through every person who believes in Him. Every person whose faith is in God, from the beginning of time, is like a great mountain filling the whole “earth” and we will all be taken to live with the Lord Jesus eternally. “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.” Revelations 19:6-9

Detailed explanation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.

Head of gold.

“This is the dream. Now we will tell the interpretation of it before the king. You, O king, are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory; and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all—you are this head of gold.” Daniel 2:36-38

The king is Nebuchadnezzar, the king of the Babylonian Empire. All through Revelations, “Babylon” represents the global government of the beast, as quoted, “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Revelations 17:5 That verse is referring to the formation of the global government, as described in the post on Revelations 17. “‘Fallen! Who is the “king” of the global government and its global culture? The “king” is the beast that has power over physiology to be able to govern by giving people what to speak, do, think, and feel. That “king” gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people. People are conformed to the mark, name, number of the beast by what they are given to say and do. In that way, the “king” sets within the temple of God, our body, as if is God, and is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click for a post on that.

By the hand of God, through the spiritual corruption of those who reject Him, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit…the government of the beast has been given the authority to rule. The beast has been given the authority to rule for “42 months” on this earth. This relates to the global population demanding the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and wanting the release of “Barabbas”, as quoted, “And they all cried out at once, saying, “Away with this Man, and release to us Barabbas”— who had been thrown into prison for a certain rebellion made in the city, and for murder.” Luke 23:18-19

The “king ” sets itself up as God and boasts of its global kingdom, power, and glory, but as followers of Jesus Christ, we say to our Lord, “For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:13 Today, the “king” of this world has power, strength, and glory as the global culture boasts, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” …all who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelations 13:4, 8 Wherever the children of men live, not the children of Christ, the Lord has given them into the hands of the beast that gives them what to say, do, think, and feel.

Not only is humanity given into the hand of the “king” of this world, but so is every animal of this planet. In the same way that the beast has power over human physiology, that same power is exerted over every type and species of animal. The beast is able to give animals what to do, what to feel, the noises they make [communication], and what runs from their brain throughout their body. During the time of the collapse of the global government, this is what it will be like, “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.” Revelations 18:2

The above paragraphs describe the “head of gold”, as said to the “king” of “Babylon”, “...you are this head of gold.”

Deterioration of the global government and its global culture.

“But after you will arise another kingdom inferior to yours; then another, a third kingdom of bronze, which will rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom will be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others. Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom will be divided; yet the strength of the iron will be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay.” Daniel 2:39-41

The prophecy given to Nebuchadnezzar at that time, through Daniel by the Spirit of God, has happened. The Babylonian Empire collapsed after being conquered by Persia. Then other kingdoms rose up to rule over all the earth. The “Babylon” of today will be conquered only by the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world system we see today will be the last form of government that this world will ever know. The global government of today will be in power until the power center of the beast [head of gold] is plunged into darkness, as described in Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11, which renders the global government and its global culture powerless. The Battle of Armageddon comes after that, as described in the Sixth Plague of Revelations 16:12-16. Christ Jesus returns within the combination of the Sixth Plague of Revelations 16:17-21 and the Seventh Trumpet of Revelations 11:15-19]. Today, the Spirit of the Lord is peaking to us through Daniel about the deterioration of the global government of the beast and its global culture. The arms of the global government begin to deteriorate in the ability to gather and redistribute resources as the global economy begins to weaken. As a result, the global culture begins to lose their pride, esteem, confidence, and dignity once found through the government of the beast.

The belly and thighs of the global culture begin to deteriorate relating to the dwindling food resources, and adding to the woes of food scarcity is the inability to be able to mobilize resources where they are needed. The legs are taken out from under the global government because there are no transportation routes responsive to those in authority of mobilizing resources. The whole global system of the beast will be broken in pieces in that way, and everything will be shattered. The nations of the world will be crushed and collapse socially and economically. The collapse of the global economy is described in Revelations 18.

The world becomes filled with chaos and lawlessness when the feet and toes of ceramic clay and iron cause divisions within the global culture, in every city around the world, “On that day people will be stricken by the Lord with great panic. They will seize each other by the hand and attack one another.” Zachariah 14:13 The feet and toes symbolize the grass roots people in every city around the world. The ceramic clay and iron symbolize the inability of people to blend in to be able to get along with each other. They will be in survival mode within a lawless world of scarce resources. That is at a time when the power center of the best will have been plunged into darkness. The Holy Spirt will have been taken from the world at that time, and He is who restrains lawlessness, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-10

The non-spiritual and artificial nature of the beast does not mix with the spirit of human beings.

“And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom will be partly strong and partly fragile.” Daniel 2:42

That verse is also describing how fragile the government of the beast is due to mixing iron with clay. Clay is the human spirit, our humanness, but the iron is the artificial intelligence, which is from the beast that gives people what to say, do, think, and feel. God created us to be the home of the Holy Spirit, and He fellowships with us through the human spirit. The beast mixes with people by hardening the human spirit and conscience against Christ Jesus who gives the Holy Spirit. That iron and clay mixture makes for a very unstable world where love has gone cold. A global culture is created filled with conflict, hardness, with no compassion for the meek and gentle spirit of peace. That describes a partly strong and a partly fragile social network.

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Joh 4:24. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16 We are not to mix the Spirit of God with the beast that gives what to say and do, “For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? 2 Corinthians 6:14-16

“As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.” Daniel 2:42

That verse verifies that the beast wants to “mingle with the seed of men”, but the two do not adhere with one another because people are created with a spirit, but the beast has no use for the spirit. The beast imposes upon people what to say, do, feel, and think, which overrides the natural functioning of our humanness. The beast opposes God who created us with a spirit so that we can fellowship with His Spirit. The beast opposes Christ Jesus because Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit. The beast blasphemes the Holy Spirit. The beast gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people. Christ Jesus breaks in pieces the nations of the global government.

“And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed; and the kingdom will not be left to other people; it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it will stand forever. Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold—the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.” Daniel 2:44-45

Today, the nations of this world have united under the government of the beast, which is easy to see through the United Nations. The United Nations was established in 1945, immediately after World War 2, and brought the government of the beast with it, as described in Daniel 8:1-14, and its formation is also described in Revelations 17.

During these days, our Lord God has set up an eternal kingdom through Christ Jesus, and that eternal Kingdom will not be left for people to govern over. A new heaven and earth will be created where God and the Lamb rules forever and ever. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” John 14:1-4

The Kingdom of God, will break in pieces and consume all the kingdoms of this world, and His Kingdom will stand forever, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever!” Revelations 11:15

Through Daniel, the Spirit of the Lord has made known to the governors of the government of the beast how they are going to be broken into pieces. Every nation on all seven continents. They will be defeated by Christ Jesus, the “stone” that “…was cut out of the mountain without hands…”. He is returning as the King of kings and lord of lords. The prophecy is certain, and its interpretation is sure.
