Satan ascends above the clouds to govern within the population of this world.

“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations!” Isaiah 14:12

Lucifer was an angel in heaven, known as the son of the morning. He rebelled against God and was thrown down to the ground, to earth, to exist among mortal human beings. He existed before human beings were created. Today, Lucifer is known as Satan, the Devil, the Dragon. When Lucifer was cut down to the earth, his angels were cast down with him, as quoted, “And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Revelations 12:7-9 Click here for a post on Revelations 12.

The “son of the morning star” is the angel of light as described, “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:14-15

Satan weakens the nations, on all seven continents of the planet, by promoting rebellion against God, making war against the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and opposing the presence of the Holy Spirit. Nations and peoples around the world serves his beast that gives them what to speak, do think, and feel. That is the beast that gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people everywhere. By what they are given to do and say, they are groomed to the mark, name, number of the beast. That empowers Satan to enable him to build his government on this earth, the government of the beast.

“For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’” Isaiah 14:13-14

Lucifer/Satan had it in his heart to want to excel above God, and said he would ascend into heaven, where he would make his throne. His heart was set on ascending above the height of the clouds. Satan does that by using the instruments of this world to do so. Ezekiel prophecies about the space satellites, space station, and space shuttle as described in his vision from Ezekiel 1. Satan is referred to as the prince of the power of the air, “…in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience…” Ephesians 2:2  Zachariah also prophecies of Satan’s desire to rule from the above the clouds, “This is their resemblance throughout the earth: Here is a lead disc lifted up, and this is a woman sitting inside the basket”; then he said, “This is Wickedness!” And he thrust her down into the basket, and threw the lead cover over its mouth. Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were two women, coming with the wind in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven.” Zechariah 5:6-9

Satan wants to be like God, the Most High, by placing his throne above the clouds and ruling within the the feelings and thoughts of people on this earth. The global population of this planet is the “mount of the congregation”. Satan sits on the global population from his throne above the clouds [on the farthest sides of the north]. Satan rules as the prince of the power of the air by arranging his power over physiology to be able to govern by giving people what to speak, do, think, and feel. In this way, Satan sets in the temple of God, our body, as if he is God by employing the beast that gives breath life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people. That is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click here for a post on that from 2 Thessalonians 2.

“Yet you will be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.” Isaiah 14:15

Satan attempts to exalt himself above God through a temporary world, through flesh and blood, and is totally void of the Spirit, and the hope of an eternal existence in Heaven. He wants to rule through people but “All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field…The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:6-8 Peter quotes Isaiah in 1 Peter 1:24-25. Satan wants to rule the world but, “… the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.” Revelations 21:1

The word of God is eternal and stands forever, and brings eternal life in the New Jerusalem for all who believe in Him. In contrast, Satan is a liar and robber who seeks to kill and destroy and he will be brought down to hell for eternity, to the very lowest Pit.

We might wonder how Satan can be defeated with his beast having power over physiology with the ability to govern through people’s behaviors, thoughts, feelings, and words. God Himself defeats Satan and the beasts, not by any efforts of human beings. He uses global warming as an instrument to destroy the power center of the beast. Global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. The more powerful the United Nations become as the undisputed global government of the beast the hotter and more intense the effects of global warming become. The power center of the beast is destroyed in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. That renders Satan’s global government of the beast and the global congregation powerless. That brings in the Battle of Armageddon of the Sixth Plague of Revelations 16:12-17. Our Lord Jesus returns when the Seventh Trumpet sounds in Revelations 11:15-18.
