“Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel: “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my just claim is passed over by my God”?” Isaiah 40:27
When referring to the Jewish people of today, and evident in the eyes of the world through the State of Israel, they seem to be saying, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my just claim is passed over by my God.” They think that their rejection of Jesus Christ is hidden from the eyes of God. At the same time, they are saying that their claim to the territory of the State of Israel has been passed over by God. They have been in 19 wars, defending their territory, since the time that they were established as the State of Israel in 1948. Click for a list of those wars.
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.” Isaiah 40:28
To the Jewish people, the Lord wonders why they act as if they do not know or haven’t heard His word. Don’t they know or haven’t they heard that He is an eternal God, not a Kingdom of this world, but an eternal Kingdom through Jesus the Christ? “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Joh 3:16
Don’t they know or haven’t they heard that the Lord is the Creator of the ends of the earth and all people of the world have the right to be His children, not just the Jewish culture? The promises of God for the promised land are not exclusive to the Jewish people but offered to whoever believes in His Son Jesus…regardless of what country, color, or language we are of.
Don’t they know or haven’t they heard that the Lord neither faints nor is weary, but will always be there for them through His Son Jesus? “But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
His understanding is unsearchable. “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!” Romans 11:33
“He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths will faint and be weary, and the young men will utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:29-31
“For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-31
Young people faint and grow weary in their physical body, and no doubt the Jewish people are faint and growing weary in a religious culture that has no hope in eternal life. If they are still waiting for their Christ, their hope has passed them by because He came 2026 years ago and His name is Jesus. Whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life, “And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” 1 John 3:3
“He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-13
Young men utterly fall from becoming physically wore down, which is what Israel is moving towards, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you will see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Matthew 23:38-39
Everyone who comes to God, through Christ Jesus, in the presence of the Holy Spirit, will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint. That includes the Jewish people around the world and within the State of Israel. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Helper, and is available for each and every Jewish person who acknowledges Jesus as the Christ and Son of God. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:15-17
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
