He who sits above the circle of the earth says this present world system will scarcely be planted, sown, and take root in the earth, when He will cause them to wither, and the whirlwind takes them away.

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.” Isaiah 40:21-22

By the Spirit of the Lord, Isaiah speaks of the “circle of the earth”, even though to us “grasshoppers” we do not see the circle of the earth from here on earth. The circular shape is seen from space, from where God provides a snapshot of the “circle of the earth”. Our Creator created “centripetal force”, which relates to gravity and keeps all of the water and the earth’s broken surface [continents] a curved and round shape. Gravity pulls everything toward its center, forming a sphere, with rotation causing a slight bulge at the equator. Also, there is the effect of the earth spinning around itself and rotating around the sun. By the Spirit of God, the writer of Genesis knew the exact order of creation, without having to be there to witness it, as described in Genesis chapters 1 through 2:7.

Envision something like a washing machine with clothes and water put into it. The clothes and water lie flat in the washer until it begins to spin. When it spins, the clothes and water begin to look round, and we can see the circle of the laundry. That is similar to how the surface of the earth and the water has its round, globe shape. We know that a solid, round ball either floats on top of water or is submerged completely in water but would never be able to conform to the circular or globe shape being formed.

God is the Creator and sets above the “circle of the earth”. He sits in the third heaven, which the blue sky is the first heaven, the blackness of space the second heaven, and Heaven where God sits is the Third Heaven, “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up into Paradise…” 2 Corinthians 12:2-4

We inhabitants of earth are just grasshoppers in the eyes of God…like grasshoppers thinking blades of grass are jungle trees. Our Creator is much, much larger than any aspect of His creation.

Our Creator has created the curtain of our atmosphere in the skies, which sustains life, protects us from being bombarded by meteors, etc. Our Creator spreads out the curtain over the skies like a tent being spread out for all of us to live in.

The culture we live in today acknowledges that the Creation is much larger than any human being is capable of creating. However, instead of acknowledging God as the Creator, they speak of “Mother Nature” or “the Universe” or “Evolution” or the “Big Bang Theory” as the creator. As a result, they serve the creature instead of God the Creator.

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” Romans 1:20-23

“He brings the princes to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth useless. Scarcely will they be planted, scarcely will they be sown, scarcely will their stock take root in the earth, when He will also blow on them, and they will wither, and the whirlwind will take them away like stubble.” Isaiah 40:23-24

No sooner than the global government of the beast seizes control of the earth as the undisputed one world government that the Lord will blow on them, cause them to wither, and the whirlwind will take them away. That is described like this, “For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, He will both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks and take away and cut down the branches.” Isaiah 18:5 Click here for a post on Isaiah 18:3-6. 

After the United Nations is established as the undisputed one world government, there will be “1/2 hour” of silence in Heaven. That is how long the global culture of the beast has before the Lord blows on them, causes them to wither, and causes the whirlwind to take them away like stubble. The global government will have “1/2 hour” of peace before the events of the Seven Trumpets are sent. That is described in the post on Revelations 8.

“When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake. So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.” Revelations 8:1-6

Just recently on March 13, 2026, whirlwinds [wind gusts] passed through Circleville, the city where I live, and there was no storm as the skies were relatively clear. All over Ohio, semi-trucks, with their trailers, were being blown over to be left laying across the highways. We are seeing those strong winds today, but in the future, there will be fierce “whirlwinds” that make a catastrophic mess of this present world system and its global culture. As a young boy 50 years ago and before [I’m 67 today], I used to fly paper kites in the March winds, I never dreamed that one day it would be near possible to fly trucks in the March wind. Sorry about the dry humor but it draws a pretty clear picture that “…we are not in Kansas anymore…” but we are in the “…land of Oz…”. The “land of Oz” being the global government of the beast that governs by giving people what to say, do, think, and feel.

“To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom will I be equal?” says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things, who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might
and the strength of His power; Not one is missing.” Isiah 40:25-26

“He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. The Lord lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground.” Psalms 147:4-6

 “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews 4:13
