The Lord’s answer to Hezekiah’s prayer.

Isaiah 37:21-29

• God hears the rage against Him and will bring an end to this present world system.

Trusting in God over the powers of darkness.

“Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel, ‘Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, this is the word which the Lord has spoken concerning him:” Isaiah 37:21-22

Sennacherib, king of Assyria, had spoken words of contempt against the Living God and threatened those who were faithful to the word of God. Hezekiah chose to trust in God instead of relying on worldly means to deal with Sennacherib.

Children of Jesus Christ despise the government of the beast.

“The virgin, the daughter of Zion, has despised you, laughed you to scorn; The daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head behind your back!” Isaiah 37:22

The Israelites of the kingdom of Judah despised Sennacherib, laughed him to scorn, and behind his back they shook their heads at him.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we despise the culture of the beast and laugh them to scorn because we know their futility of serving the power of darkness through the beast that gives people what to say, do, think, and feel. We shake our head at them, out-of-their sight, because we know God has victory over them. “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us…But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 8:37, 1 Corinthians 15:57

We who serve God through Jesus Christ are the daughter of Zion, being born from the Kingdom of Heaven, the eternal Zion in Heaven, “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant,” Hebrews 12:22-24

We are the daughter of Jerusalem in the sense that Christianity has come into existence through the Jewish culture. Our Lord Jesus was Jewish from the tribe of Judah. Because the Jewish people rejected Jesus Christ, they were broken off from His family tree and we were grafted in as His children, “…some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them…You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith.” Romans 11:17, 19-20

Government of the beast holds contempt for Christ Jesus.

“Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice, and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 37:23

When the culture of the beast comes against we who live for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who are they really coming after? They think they are coming after human beings who believe differently than they do and think of us as being haters of humanity. However, they are really raising their voices in reproach and blaspheme against the Holy One of Israel, who is Jesus, the Christ and Son of God.

They reproach belief in God the Creator as being naive and misinformed because they indoctrinate people to believe in “Mother Nature” or the “Universe”.

They reproach the need for the forgiveness of unbelief through Jesus Christ because they consider carnal human desires as being the inbred nature of human beings. However, we who have been born-again know the difference between the life we live without Him and the life we have with Him. “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18

They reproach the notion of the Holy Spirit being a person who is a member of the Holy Trinity. They serve the beast with two horns like a lamb, which is Satan’s version of the Holy Spirit, as described in Revelations 13:11-13.

Government of the beast becomes powerful through the population of the world.

“By your servants you have reproached the Lord, and said, ‘By the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the limits of Lebanon; I will cut down its tall cedars and its choice cypress trees; I will enter its farthest height, to its fruitful forest.I have dug and drunk water, and with the soles of my feet I have dried up all the brooks of defense.’” Isaiah 37:24-25

The servants of Sennacherib reproached the Lord. Today, those servants are those of the global culture that serves the beast that gives them what to say and do. “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelations 13:8

By the multitudes of the global culture, the government of the beast has risen to the highest heights to the limits of governing authority. That height is the United Nations, from where flows the aspiration to be the undisputed one world government. That is seen by how the people of the world embrace the “Sustainable Development Goals” of the United Nations. The United Nations was established in 1945, immediately after World War 2, and brought the government of the beast with it, as described in Daniel 8:1-14 and Revelations 17.

For the global government to say “I will cut down its tall cedars and its choice cypress trees” refers to placing every nation under its rule. Every country will become a state under the global nation governed from the United Nations. All the wealth and resources of countries around the world will fall under the control of the global economy. The purpose of being established as the undisputed one world government, the government of the beast, is to become a “fruitful forest”. They promote the false hope of creating and earthly Garden of Eden by promising salvation for humanity and the planet.

The government of the beast digs deep into physiology to drink the softly flowing waters and to dry up the Water of Life, which is the Holy Spirit flowing in us. The beast that gives people what to feel, think, say, and do cannot function in the waters of human decency and cannot survive in the presence of the Water of the Holy Spirit. The only purpose of the beast is to give breath/ life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people. People who believe in God, through Jesus Christ, in the presence of the Holy Spirit shun the beast from speaking and living within us. The Lord is our shield and defense against the fiery darts coming at us through the culture of the beast, “…above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” Ephesians 6:16 Those of the culture of the beast are conformed to the mark, name, number of the beast by what they are given to say and do.

God raises up the government of the beast because of the hardness against the Holy Spirit.

“Did you not hear long ago How I made it, from ancient times that I formed it? Now I have brought it to pass, that you should be for crushing fortified cities into heaps of ruins. Therefore their inhabitants had little power; They were dismayed and confounded; They were as the grass of the field and the green herb, as the grass on the housetops and grain blighted before it is grown.” Isaiah 37:26-27

The Spirit of the Lord describes how He made Assyria and formed it. The same as what He has made the government of the beast and formed it. Does anyone really believe that the global government and its global culture want to be thought of as having their existence through spiritual corruption and the power of darkness? Actually, they want to be thought of as being Godly, righteous, and the savior of humanity and planet, “…having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” 2 Timothy 3:5 However, God has made and formed the government of the beast because of their hard-hearted ways against Him, Christ Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” John 3:19

As we see today, cities in nations all around the world are being crushed into social and economic ruins until they surrender their local heritage, culture, and constitutions to the agenda of the global government of the beast. People reject Jesus Christ to choose living for the beast. The goal is to create a global culture, to create a global heritage, under a one world constitution. In order to accomplish that, the global population is required to welcome the beast to speak and live through them. The beast sits in the temple of God, as God, by giving people what to feel, think, say, and do, and is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click for a post on that.

The reason that the inhabitants of the earth have little power is because they do not want the Holy Spirit to be part of who they are but willingly choose to live by the power of darkness through the beast. The Lord has made them that way because of their hardened heart against Him, “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

They were dismayed and confounded refers to the deception that the global culture of the beast has fallen into, which leads to their eternal condemnation in Hell, “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 Click for a post on that. They will also be dismayed and confounded in the day that the power the center of the beast is plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. They will no longer be empowered with uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, uncanny authority over others, etc.

“They were as the grass of the field and the green herb, as the grass on the housetops and grain blighted before it is grown.” refers to how perishable humanity is compared to the eternity that God has planned for every single person who has ever lived, “…those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt.” Daniel 12:2 Today, the global culture boasts in their attitude and behavior, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with Him?” Revelations 13:4 Tomorrow they will be among those who mourn in eternal torment and contempt. “All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” 1 Peter 1:24-25 That is a quote from Isaiah 40:6

“He uncovers deep things out of darkness, and brings the shadow of death to light. He makes nations great, and destroys them; He enlarges nations, and guides them. He takes away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and makes them wander in a pathless wilderness. They grope in the dark without light, and He makes them stagger like a drunken man.” Job 12:22-25

God hears the rage against Him and will bring an end to this present world system.

“But I know your dwelling place, your going out and your coming in, and your rage against Me. Because your rage against Me and your tumult have come up to My ears, therefore I will put My hook in your nose and My bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way which you came.”’ Isaiah 37:28-29

The Lord knows everything there is to know about the beast, the government of the beast, and the global culture of the beast. He shares that information with whoever believes in His word. Everything there is to know about the beast, the government of the beast, and the culture of the beast is written within the pages of the Holy Bible. We see a very clear blueprint. There is the post on Genesis 6…the post on the Tower of Babel from Genesis 11:1-9 …the book of Isaiah…the posts from the book of Ezekiel… the post Daniel 3:31-45…the post on Daniel 7:1-8…the post on Daniel 8:1-14…the posts on Daniel 11, the whole book of Daniel. The posts on the book of Joel…the posts on Zephaniah...the posts on Zachariah…the post on 2 Thessalonians 2…the posts on Matthew 24...the posts on the book of Acts...the post on Revelations 17, the whole book of Revelations. And so, so, much more all through the Bible. The Lord knows how the culture of the beast rages against Him.

Joel, by the Spirit of the Lord, sums it all up very clearly, “A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be any such after them…A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; The land is like the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness;” Joel 2:2-3

The rage against the Lord has come to His ears through the prayers of every single person whose faith has ever been in Him since the beginning of time. The prayers He hears from within our spirit and soul means more to Him than all the words any person could ever speak. Because of those prayers, He is bringing the wrath of His judgment against this present world system of the beast. Our prayers are in bowls in the Kingdom of Heaven, before the throne of God. The answer to those prayers will be in the form of the fire of His wrath being thrown down upon this earth.

“Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” Revelations 5:8 Click for a post on Revelations 5.“Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar.
