“Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty and makes it waste, distorts its surface and scatters abroad its inhabitants.” Isaiah 24:1

Today, we already see how global warming is able to distort the surface of the earth, and it is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. We see how the heat of the sun is able to turn green acres into wasteland, to empty it of anything that grows. In that light, the populations affected by drought would be scattered, seeking greener land.

Also, there is the wind…a wind that is becoming a common occurrence…a strong wind like never before witnessed on such a daily basis. These are winds that come without storms, without rain, without clouds…just strong gusts of wind. Here in Circleville, Ohio [where I live], just recently, the wind moved through very powerfully, gusts of wind throughout the day, literally blowing over semi-trucks hauling all types of different stuff. Dozens of trucks, throughout Ohio, were laying on their side. Click here to see pictures of that event.

The wind is definitely able to make the earth empty, to make it waste, to distort its surface, and scatter abroad the population. If brakes were applied to the rotation of the world, the list below describes what would happen…

1. People would be scattered/propelled across the Earth at a speed of 1000 miles per hour. (No survivors)
2. The oceans would continue moving at 1000 miles per hour and create a massive tsunami. (No survivors)
3. We would be faced with supersonic wind moving at 1000 miles per hour. (No survivors)
4. The earth would be ripped apart.  “…and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.” Revelation 16:18-20 (No survivors)
5. Earth’s magnetic field is affected and reduced as spinning and rotating changes. Nowadays, ducks can’t seem to find their way south anymore, and they do use the magnetic field to guide them…. “…ducks use the Earth’s magnetic field as a primary tool for navigating south during migration. This internal biological compass, known as magnetoreception, allows them to maintain a steady course even when visual landmarks or celestial cues like the sun and stars are unavailable…”

“Woe to the multitude of many people who make a noise like the roar of the seas, and to the rushing of nations that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations will rush like the rushing of many waters; But God will rebuke them and they will flee far away, and be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind, like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.” Isaiah 17:12-13

“Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.” Revelations 16:17-21

“And it will be: As with the people, so with the priest; As with the servant, so with his master; As with the maid, so with her mistress; As with the buyer, so with the seller; As with the lender, so with the borrower; As with the creditor, so with the debtor. The land will be entirely emptied and utterly plundered, for the Lord has spoken this word.” Isaiah 24:2-3

No one is spared from the destruction of this earth, except we who live for God, through Jesus Christ, in the presence of the Holy Spirit. The destruction of the earth comes in the events of the Seventh Plague of Revelations 16:17-21 as Jesus returns within the events of the Seventh Trumpet of Revelations 11: 15-18. That is when the Lord brings us home to live with Him eternally in the New Jerusalem. In the name of Jesus, there is eternal Salvation, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

“Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.” Revelations 19:17-18

Our Lord Jesus says, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:29-31 Click for posts on Matthew 24.
