“For I will rise up against them,” says the Lord of hosts, “And cut off from Babylon the name and remnant, and offspring and posterity,” says the Lord.” Isaiah 14:22
The “them”, whom the Lord is rising up against, are the children of Satan, as described in the post on Isaiah 14:18-21. They are those who reject Jesus Christ and do not want the Holy Spirit to be part of who they are. They choose to live for Satan’s beast that gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people everywhere. The beast makes them feel empowered with uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, extraordinary skills and abilities, uncanny authority over overs, amazing physical abilities etc. However, their destiny is a dire one, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself will also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelations 14:9-11
“Babylon” represents Satan’s “golden city”, the global government of the beast. The government of the beast will be cut off from the children of Satan, the global culture, during the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. That is when the power center of the beast is plunged into darkness. The global government will be cut off from the global culture because the ability to govern through what people speak, do, think, and feel will not be functioning. There will be disorder, chaos, lawlessness, and suffering for the remnant of the children of Satan and their future will be totally desolated in that day.
“I will also make it a possession for the porcupine, and marshes of muddy water; I will sweep it with the broom of destruction,” says the Lord of hosts.” Isaiah 14:23
For the Lord to make this planet a possession for the porcupine refers to a world population filled with thorns in their spirit, ready to shoot out at anyone at any time. That is a time when the world is filled with demons, foul spirits, and every type of detestable animal, as quoted, “Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling for demons
and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.” Revelations 18:2
“Marshes of muddy water” involves using flattery and smooth words to deceive and pollute the spirit and conscience of people. The world population is filled with those “silver-tongue devils”, who use charm, eloquence, and highly persuasive tactics to manipulate or deceive others, often in an affectionate and mischievous way. “For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.” Romans 16:18 That is the character of those who “…call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20
“…its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be given over to salt.” Ezekiel 47:11 Click here for the full post on Ezekiel 47.

This planet is going to be swept with the broom of destruction. Lawlessness fills the world as described in 2 Thessalonians 2:5-8, and that lawless world “…the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:8 The following verse describes the earth at His coming, “For the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth are shaken. The earth is violently broken, the earth is split open, the earth is shaken exceedingly. The earth will reel to and fro like a drunkard, and will totter like a hut; Its transgression will be heavy upon it, and it will fall, and not rise again.” Isaiah 24:18-20 Click here for a post on the Day of the Lord from Zachariah 14.
“The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!”
Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred
since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. Every island fled away, and the mountains could not be found. From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell on people.
And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.” Revelation 16:17-21
….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
