Welfare Visits in Days of Affliction

1 Thessalonians 3:1-5

There are over twenty million “Preppers” around the world today. Preppers are people who prepare for the end times and have already “fled for the hills.” In the US alone, there are at least five million Preppers, some think as high as ten million or more. Many, many people feel unwanted and afflicted by the internal presence of the mark of the beast and those who live by it. They do not want to be a part of the present society that is disintegrating right before our eyes. I would love to keep in contact with them to know how their faith in Jesus Christ is holding up. I do read their blogs.

Hardship is doled out towards people who choose to live for Jesus Christ. I hold back from using the word persecution, but it is persecution coming from a psychotic “lamb.” The affliction is coming from the internal presence of the mark of the beast that has power over physiology, thoughts and emotions. Affliction also comes through the people who live by it. It would be every Christian’s yearning to know how other Christians are doing during these very trying days. It would be nice to encourage others and to strengthen them in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. I don’t want anyone to be unsettled by the turbulence that a Christian faces, but we know quite well that God’s people are destined for very difficult days. The Bible tells us that we will be persecuted under the system that rules by the market of the beast, and it is here today. I really hope, and have a deep inner prayer, that all of us are able to overcome Satan, the tempter.

“So, when we could stand it no longer, we thought it best to be left by ourselves in Athens. We sent Timothy, who is our brother and co-worker in God’s service in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. For you know quite well that we are destined for them. In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted. And it turned out that way, as you well know. For this reason, when I could stand it no longer, I sent to find out about your faith. I was afraid that in some way the tempter had tempted you and that our labors might have been in vain.”
