I Choose Eternity Over Extraordinary.

“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires;  but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.  The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:5-8

Today, Satan operates through his beast which appeals to everything related to flesh and blood. It has no belief in Salvation, it discards the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and has no belief in eternal life. Instead, it fulfills the desires of the flesh by its power over physiology and its ability to form emotions, thoughts, and enhance bodily functions. It brings death to the life that is found in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. It is sin and death whereas Jesus Christ is life in the Spirit.

Miracles happen routinely in this year 2022. Those extraordinary acts are even used to berate Christians and mock God. Physical healings happen, youthfulness abounds everywhere, they have an abundance of good health, they are cheerful, feel wonderful, have powerful sex appeal, children are astounding, animals are amazing, and the list goes on of the unnatural nature of the flesh. Today’s culture live for the fulfilment in the flesh that comes from the power of darkness through the beast that has power over physiology. Their intellect is amazing, able to recall bits of information as needed, and have extraordinary skill in what they do. Their unnatural ability, empowered by the beast, defies natural sciences. They gear everything to the fulfilment of the flesh as they deny God the Creator, reject the need for repentance through Jesus Christ, and oppose the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The inner presence of the beast has power over life and death and is able to heal. That is the source of rejuvenation of the flesh in mind, body, and emotions and is why everyone chooses to live for the beast. The fulfilment of the flesh is its and their priority. “One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast.” Revelation 13:3

Those who live by the beast has a mind focused on the benefits of the flesh. They welcome its inner presence which is sin, and it brings death to the life found in the Spirit of Christ. They are hostile to God, will not submit to God, and are unable to. It’s impossible for them to please God. Those of us who choose Jesus Christ live in compliance to the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Our thoughts and feelings are set on following the desires of Christ’s Spirit. We desire feelings and thoughts that are governed by the Spirit of life and peace. My desire for life and peace is very much different than the chaos, conflict, and death in the world, in the state of Ohio, and in the city where I live.
