Jesus is alone because He brings the remission of sin and Salvation to the world.

1 Samuel 21:2

In previous verses, a minister in a church, Ahimelech, asked David why he was alone and not associated with the people of king Saul. Saul was seeking to hunt David down and to have him killed. This is like those in the churches of today, which has thrown out the Gospel of Christ, asking a Christian why they are not associated with those who deny the need for Jesus Christ. Today’s churches do not want to hear the Gospel of Christ living and speaking through a person, they want to verify the image of the beast living and speaking through a person.

“So David said to Ahimelech the priest, “The king has ordered me on some business, and said to me, ‘Do not let anyone know anything about the business on which I send you, or what I have commanded you.’ And I have directed my young men to such and such a place.” 1 Samuel 21:1-2 As followers of Jesus Christ, we do not recognize any other authority as our king except Jesus Christ, the King of kings. Jesus is the only person sent by God to make atonement for sin.

David is a symbolic description of the ministry of Jesus Christ. He was sent by God, His King, on a special mission to give His life for the atonement of sin, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

Jesus told His disciples not to tell anyone about Him until His time had come, “Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.” Matthew 16:20 When the time had come, and Jesus had been crucified, killed, and God had raised him from the dead then He directed his young men (His disciples) to spread His testimony from place to place, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20

Today’s world does not believe in Salvation through Jesus Christ because they have no belief in anything beyond human rationale. Their faith is in humanism rooted in the image and mark of the beast and they have quarantined the Gospel of Christ from their society. To them, talking about sin and our need for Jesus robs a person of human dignity, respect, and esteem. They figure as long as a person welcomes the thing which forms what they think, feel, and do then the person is not living in the flesh and is not exposed to unchecked or unbridled sins of the flesh. They demand that a person allow the image of the beast to live and speak through them. As it lives and speaks through people, it conforms them to their station in life which establishes the mark of the beast. There is no mark in society for the message of the Cross because it is not given a place to live and to speak through people.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe God, acknowledge our need for Jesus Christ, and by the Holy Spirit we have this message to share, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
