The battle at the time of the end; The Battle of Armageddon.
“At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North will come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he will enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through.” Daniel 11:40
That verse is describing a battle that will happen at the time of the end of this present world system. We know that battle as being the Battle of Armageddon, as described in Revelations 16:13-14. That is a global battle that comes upon the world like a whirlwind, involving many armies, many ships, and many countries. At first, the king of the North will overwhelm the opposing forces, and the king of the North represents the loyalists of the global government. “But news from the east and the north will trouble him; therefore he will go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many….yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.” Daniel 11:44-45
We might wonder how the Battle of Armageddon could ever happen since the beast has power over physiology to control what people do, feel, think, and say. The Battle of Armageddon happens after the power center of the beast is plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. That is time when those of the global culture are no longer empowered by the beast with uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, amazing physical abilities, uncanny authority over others, etc. All that remains is conventional warfare. The Battle of Armageddon will be fought the old-fashioned way, by brute military force. By that, we know that as long as people has uncanny knowledge and heightened intuition etc. the Battle of Armageddon is yet to come.
In the powerlessness of the world government, the global population begins to revolt, rebel, riot, and lawlessness is everywhere. They are able to revolt against their oppressors because they are free from the beast controlling their thoughts, feelings, actions, and words. With that, the loyal governors of the world government will plan to put down the revolt the “old-fashioned” way, which makes way for “kings” to rally for war. They will want to go to war to try to salvage what’s left of global system of the beast.
Also, global warming is instrumental in bringing the collapse of the power center of the beast. Global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. The more powerful the United Nations become as the undisputed one world government, the hotter and more intense the effect of global warming becomes. Global warming comes, then the power center of the beast is destroyed, then the Battle of Armageddon comes. Then Jesus Christ returns when the Seventh Trumpet sounds, Revelations 11:15.
“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” Revelations 16:15
Israel will suffer brutality in the Battle of Armageddon, but the enemies of Israel are spared.
“He will also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries will be overthrown; but these will escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon.” Daniel 11:41
In the final battle of this earth, which we refer to as the Battle of Armageddon, the armies of the global government will enter into the “Glorious Land”. The “Glorious Land” definitely refers to Israel because the Battle of Armageddon will affect the State of Israel very much, as described in the post on the “Day After” from Ezekiel 39. Many countries will be overthrown in the Middle East, but a few will escape, such as “Edom”, “Moab”, and the prominent people of “Ammon”. To this day, those countries are known to be contrary to the will of God and enemies of Israel. During the Battle of Armageddon, the countries that escape being blown to smithereens are countries that are favorable to the atheistic global government. They might escape the wrath of the “king of the North” but they won’t escape the wrath of God when it is all over.
The “Glorious Land” also refers to the Kingdom of God on this earth, referring to everyone whose faith is in Jesus Christ. The “Glorious Land” is the territory of the Holy Spirit that lives within each Believer. During the Battle of Armageddon, the armies of the global government will be aggressive to overpower anyone who desires to live for God through Jesus Christ in the presence of the Holy Spirit. This will be a time of global persecution and the killing of Christians.
Wealth and resources seized by global military force in an embattled, rebellious and lawless world.
“He will stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt will not escape. He will have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians will follow at his heels.” Daniel 11:42-43
The “land of Egypt” will not escape in the time of the Battle of Armageddon. The land of Egypt is a land that has always been involved in oppression, idol worship, and rebellion. Today, the “land of Egypt” consists of the global population that lives by the imposition of thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors given to them by the beast. When the “land of Egypt” senses that the power center of the beast has been destroyed, and they are no longer fed what to do and say, they will rebel against the global government that once oppressed them. That will be a time of global lawlessness, violence, economic collapse, and social chaos. The armies of the global government will come against them with murderous brutality.
Even in the time of the Battle of Armageddon, the global government will have control over the wealth of the world resources, and everything that is important and valuable to the global population. But in the lawlessness, violence, and chaos of the world, it means very little in controlling a “world gone mad”. The powerless global government will have their loyalists that follow them in brutally putting down the global revolt, such as the “Libyans” and “Ethiopians”
More global rebellion and the end comes for the global government.
“But news from the east and the north will trouble him; therefore he will go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. And he will plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.” Daniel 11:44-45
Within the Battle of Armageddon, news from the east and north will trouble the armies loyal to the global government. After they have brought devastation to the revolting global population, to the Israel and the Middle East, and to the followers of Jesus Christ, they receive troubling news from those they receive orders from. Today, in the context of the Battle of Armageddon, we recognize the east and north as being Russia to the North and China to the East. And even with that said, Russia extends to the north of Israel and also wraps around to even be to the east of Israel. See the map below.
As seen on the image below, Israel is circled in red, towards the bottom and center. Russia is seen to the north of Israel and even to the east of Israel.

After hearing the bad news from the east and north, the army of those loyal to the powerless global government intends to annihilate and destroy many with great fury. That would be the outright slaughter of many around the world. From that, we can gather that the Battle of Armageddon does not go well for the armies of the global government and they resort to outright murder to exterminate people no longer under their control.
The powerless leader of the global armies will plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain. That means a military and political stronghold will be set up somewhere between the Holy Mountain in Israel and the seas. As seen on the map below, the “seas” would relate to the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea, and in that area the powerless global government intends to set up a political and military stronghold. As we can see from the map below, that area is also the territory of the West Bank today. In that light, we already see how Israel’s enemies already have a base on which to set up their political and military stronghold. That will also be a time when the powerless global leaders will do everything within their political and military abilities to keep the population of the world from accessing belief in God, acknowledging Christ Jesus as Lord, and embracing the Holy Spirit.
As we know, the global government loses the war and is defeated by the return of Christ Jesus. The government of the beast will be defeated, with zero help from anyone…he will come to his end, and no one will help him. “The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Reevlations 20:10

Global trouble as never before experienced on this earth and the return of Jeus Christ.
“At that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there will be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people will be delivered, every one who is found written in the book.” Daniel 12:1
Daniel writes the words spoken to him, and the words spoken to him includes “your people”. Daniel’s people were the Israelites [the Jewish people]. Today, we know that the “Jewish people” are those who live for the promise of God through Jesus Christ, as quoted, “For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed will be called.” That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed…And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Romans 9:6-9 , Galatians 3:29
Also, the “your people” are defined as those whose names are “written in the book”. This is the Book of Life of the Lamb {Jesus Christ], as quoted “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelations 13:8. The “him” in this verse is the “Vile Person” [as described in Daniel 11:21-24], and also the beast of the image and mark of the beast.
At the end of time, during the time of the Battle of Armageddon of the Sixth Plague, this is a time of trouble around the world, like there has never been since there has been a nation on this earth. As Jesus Christ said, “For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be” Mark 13:19
The enormous global tribulation is a result of the Holy Spirit being removed from this world, which happens because people reject Jesus Christ who gives the Holy Spirt. Jesus said, “…when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8 The Holy Spirit restrains lawlessness, and when He is removed from this world, there is going to be trouble like this world has never ever experienced before, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 Click here for a post on the “lawless one”.
While the Battle of Armageddon is the Sixth Plague, our Lord Jesus returns in combination of the Seventh Plague of Revelations 16:12-16 and the Seventh Trumpet of Revelations 11: 15-19. At the end of time, wafter the world is filled with tribulation like never before, Jesus returns, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:30-31 “…and at that time your people will be delivered, every one that will be found written in the book.” Daniel 12:1
“And will God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7-8 “For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me.” Zachariah 2:8-9
Resurrection and the coming judgment.
“And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt.” Daniel 12:2
Daniel 12:2
Everyone will be resurrected from the dead, that is “many”, whether Believers or non-Believers. We who live for God by our faith in Jesus Christ, in the presence of the Holy Spirit, will be resurrected to everlasting life. Those who reject God, Jesus Christ, and fight against the Holy Spirit will be resurrected to shame and everlasting contempt [hell].
“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:11-15
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.” Daniel 12:3
The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, and the fear of the Lord brings us to faith in Jesus Christ to live in the presence of the Holy Spirit. We desire to share our born-again experience, which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ written on our heart. We hope that someone is brought to the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
