John the Baptist and the Baptism of Jesus Christ: Bringing Good Fruit by the Holy Spirit

The masses of people are a brood of vipers. I think of the multitudes of people who fill the churches in every city around this nation, but they are Christless churches, John the Baptist had this to say, “Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” Luke 3:7 They have exchanged the teachings of the Bible for the “community family” frame of mind and are using the churches to serve humanism empowered by the mark of the beast. A true show of repentance is to glorify the name of Jesus Christ, and to share the Gospel as spoken here, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 It’s not enough for the multitudes to say that because they possess the churches then they own the whole heritage of Christianity, “Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.” Luke 3:8

An ax is laid to the root of Godly heritage. Even today, there is an ax laid to the root of Christianity. I’m a 1959 Baby Boomer and I have seen the cutting away of the testimony of Jesus Christ from society, “And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Luke 3:9 The good fruit of the Holy Spirit has withered among the majority. Today, it is practically illegal to share the teachings of the Bible with younger generations. On top of that, communities around the world are rioting and protesting for cultural and constitutional changes to usher in the global government rooted in the mark of the beast. They reject Jesus Christ and are not being fruitful through the Holy Spirit which leads to their eternal torment in the lake of fire. The thing that has power over physiology to form thoughts, feelings, and emotions has discarded the need for the human spirit and for the fruit of the Holy Spirit. It has created flesh and blood robots. The judgment of God comes through the flesh so that we live in the Spirit, “For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.” 1 Peter 4:6

There is social inequality, imbalance of taxes, and oppressive law enforcement. “So the people asked him, saying, “What shall we do then?” Luke 3:10 John’s answer gets to the heart of the issue within the system of government of today. They govern by the belief that there is nothing beyond the grave, and nothing Divine or sacred on this earth. Everything centers around the human being and earthly rewards such as money, possessions, physical comforts and enhancements. Those rewards are given to those who are governed by the mark of the beast and withheld from those who reject their Christless society. Humanism is the clothing worn by the mark of the beast. Jesus Christ is found among the poor and destitute and John answers their question, which relates to social inequality, abuse of the appropriation of taxes, and the oppression coming through law enforcement.

1. “He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.” Lue 3:11 The Holy Spirit is not condoning the Christless giving of charity to the poor and destitute, He is condemning the suffering and neglect of His people. Resources are not to be used against those who live for Jesus Christ and not to be used as rewards to those who serve the thing that has power over thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors.
2. “Then tax collectors also came to be baptized, and said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?” And he said to them, “Collect no more than what is appointed for you.” Luke 3:12-13 Everyone is aware that taxes are used for many, many reasons and no longer relates to what is needed to supply services. Taxes are strongly related to economic development in a nation where destitute cities and wealthy cities coexist. That economic development is a reward given from the system of humanism empowered by the mark of the beast. Also, tax rates are determined according to how they affect the stock market, to control bank lending, to control business expansions and hiring, to control buying and selling, etc. Nowadays, nations have been contributing taxes to the global economy to fund the global government of the mark of the beast. This world is a long way from following the words of the Holy Spirit to collect no more than what is appointed.
3. “Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, “And what shall we do?” So he said to them, “Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely and be content with your wages.” Luke 3:14 The Roman soldiers were the police force of that day, and more and more we see the national guards being slowly integrated into today’s society. They are involved in food distribution, vaccine shots, helping cities destroyed by storms, always have a presence at professional sports events, etc. They are establishing a soft and gentle image. A day is soon coming when they will be patrolling community streets to police the destitute populations and to protect the economically developed cities. The Holy Spirit tells law enforcement and soldiers to abstain from intimidation and false reports. The police force of today is notorious for intimidation, false accusations, and demanding higher wages. Even today, they exercise their authority to keep those who govern and live by the mark of the beast separate from those who do not. They vigilantly guard against relationships and gatherings being formed through the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit is through Jesus and judgment comes after death. Even today, the followers of Jesus Christ suffer affliction and anxiously wait for the return of Jesus Christ, and it will intensify, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Revelation 6:10 As followers of Jesus, we know there is no Salvation for this planet, there are no global solutions, and no worldly leader is the Christ. The atonement of sin through Jesus Christ is Salvation, He is the Christ, and He is returning to bring us into the New Jerusalem. Today, we have the guarantee of Heaven in us through the Holy Spirit, and it is through Jesus that we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, “Now as the people were in expectation, and all reasoned in their hearts about John, whether he was the Christ or not,  John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Luke 3:15-16 Those who live for this Christless “community family” of the mark of the beast will be destroyed with this perishing world, will face judgment after death, and will suffer eternal torment in the lake of fire, “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.” Luke 3:17

Christians are imprisoned for declaring the teachings of the Bible. Today, it’s more than obvious that the teachings of the Bible are not welcomed in mainstream of society. Churches have quit sharing about the death, resurrection, ascension, and the return of Jesus Christ. Schools keep the Gospel off of school property as they welcome a Godless curriculum. Government policies favor a “left wing” or progressive agenda as culture and constitutions are changing to adapt to a global government. Those who govern by the mark of the beast, in the name of humanism, detest Jesus Christ and intend to keep the Gospel imprisoned. They do not want to hear the exhortations from the Bible and are hostile to any criticism that opposes their Christless social network. The new world order of the mark of the beast was established immediately after the WW2, so just after seventy-six years the testimony of Christ has been subdued. In coming years, the persecution against the followers of Jesus Christ will intensify, and what happened to John is prophetic, “And with many other exhortations he preached to the people. But Herod the tetrarch, being rebuked by him concerning Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, also added this, above all, that he shut John up in prison.” Luke 3:18-20

There is the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the other baptism. All the people who came to John the Baptist were baptized in water, and Jesus Christ was also baptized by John in water, “When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.“ Luke 3:21 The difference between all the other people and Jesus Christ is that the Holy Spirit came on Jesus. Also, the voice of God recognized Jesus as being His beloved Son, “And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” Luke 3:21-22 As followers of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is what distinguishes us from the masses of people who are baptized with a different baptism. The masses are baptized by the thing that has power over physiology to form emotions and feelings to imitate the Holy Spirit. It forms joy, comfort, kindness, a type of warmth, etc. but it is of the mark of the beast, as said here, “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 When the Holy Spirit fills a person, the name of Jesus is glorified, and message of the Cross is shared. It is a message of the forgiveness of sin, Salvation, eternal life, and the return of Jesus, which is the message of this verse, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
