“All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun:
there is a time wherein a man rules over another to his own hurt.”
Ecceliastes 8:9

“Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; Sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you will no more be called tender and delicate.” Isaiah 47:1

Babylon is described as a “virgin daughter” because in the days of the Bible [unlike today’s culture], for a parent to have a virgin daughter was a prominent thing of high status. The virgin was unspoiled, so to speak. The Babylonian Empire was thought of as being a “virgin daughter” in being impregnable worldly beauty, and royal status.

Today, the government of the beast, with its global culture, is thought of as being a “virgin daughter” in being impregnable, as they boast in their attitude and behavior, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelations 13:4 The global government of the beast prides itself in building a beautiful earthly Garden of Eden, as described through the “Sustainable Development Goals” of the United Nations. The global culture serves the beast that exalts its own royal stature, “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 God has created us to be His temple, but the beast sits in the temple by its power over physiology to give people what to say, do, think, and feel. “Babylon” symbolizes the global government of the beast all through the book of Revelations, as described in the post on Isaiah 21:1-2. This one verse says that Babylon is of all nations, “And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Revelations 14:8

“Babylon” is called to “Sit on the ground without a throne,” which means to penetrate her impregnable walls and to no longer be a world empire. The power center of the beast will be plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 1610-11, which renders the global government of the beast and its global culture powerless. They will indeed be sitting on the ground without a throne as lawlessness, social disintegration, and economic collapse is worldwide. They will no more be called tender and delicate. “A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be any such after them…A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; The land is like the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; Surely nothing shall escape them.” Joel 2:2-3

Global warming plays a role in destroying the power center of the beast and is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9.

“Take the millstones and grind meal.” Isaiah 47:2

Grinding the grain at the millstones would be total humiliation for those of the Babylonian Empire. That’s because grinding grain by hand with heavy millstones was the lowest form of labor, usually given to enslaved women or captives. Grinding at the millstone symbolizes the humiliation and disgrace of those of this present world system of the beast. Where they now boast, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelations 13:4 they will be totally humiliated when their economy and social integration collapses, and lawlessness abounds. Directly below is an image of a millstone;

On the image to the right, is what a millstone might have looked like in the day of Isaiah. The top stone was moved up and down and all around by hand by the by the wood handle attached to it. The bottom stone was fixed in place. Grain was placed between the two stones then somebody would beat the top stone into the grain to grind the grain into powder. The powder was then used for baking bread etc. The picture to the left is just to show how grain is placed between the two stones.

Remove your veil, take off the skirt, uncover the thigh, pass through the rivers. Your nakedness will be uncovered, yes, your shame will be seen; I will take vengeance, and I will not arbitrate with a man.” Isaiah 47:3

For the veil to be removed from the face is for the world to see the humiliated face of the government of the beast when the power center of the beast is plunged into darkness, as described in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 1610-11. Taking off the skirt, uncovering the thigh, and passing through the rivers symbolizes complete vulnerability of the “virgin daughter of Babylon”. That vulnerability passes through the global rivers from city to city and from person to person. The global government of the beast will be totally naked and vulnerable. The Battle of Armageddon happens in the Sixth Plague of Revelations 16:12-16, as a result of the collapse of the power center of the beast. Their shame will be seen by all the world.

When the global government of the beast and its global culture is destroyed, it will not come through human effort, the Lord says, “I will not arbitrate with a man.” In other words, human beings have no say in what is coming upon the system of the beast, absolutely no control over what is coming upon them at all, unless they come to God through Jesus Christ, “…whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13 The Lord Himself brings the destruction of the government of the beast, such as seen through the appearance of global warming, which is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9 which brings the collapse of the power center of the beast, which leads to the Battle of Armageddon.

Our Lord does not arbitrate with those of the culture of the beast when He sends the events of the Seven Trumpets of Revelations 8, 9, 11, and the events of the Seven Thunders of Revelations 10, and the events of the Seven Plagues of Revelations 16. People do not have a say in the judgment coming against them, except through Jesus Christ, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24

“As for our Redeemer, the Lord of hosts is His name, the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 47:4

Our Redeemer is Christ Jesus. He is the Holy One of Israel, being an Israelites from the Tribe of Judah. He is the Lord of hosts, “He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them — he remains faithful forever” Psalm 146:6

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
I am coming soon.

Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.’”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
