“For your sake I will send to Babylon, and bring them all down as fugitives—”

“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ” Isaiah 43:14a.

The Lord is our redeemer, meaning He restores our relationship to Him by the remission of sin. Our redemption comes in two ways; we are redeemed by our born-again experience as we return to God through Jesus Christ, and our eternal redemption comes when we are resurrected from the grave and given a redeemed and eternal body. That is summed up in this way, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 Christ Jesus is the Holy One of Israel, and in an earthly sense is an Israelite, from the Tribe of Judah, of the lineage of David.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!For His mercy endures forever.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.
They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; They found no city to dwell in.
Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
And He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right way,
That they might go to a city for a dwelling place.

“For your sake I will send to Babylon, and bring them all down as fugitives—The Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships.” Isaiah 43:14b.

Putting faith in military power and the economic prosperity of this world has a very destructive end. The true power and riches come from the Spirit of God and are within our heart by living for Jesus Christ. “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.” Zachariah 4:6

Initially, that prophecy was about Cyrus, of Persia, being sent to the Babylonian Empire to defeat the Babylonians and bring them down, and all of the Chaldeans [one with the Babylonians] with them. That is described in the posts on Isaiah 41:1-7, Isaiah 41:11-16, Isaiah 41:25-29, Isaiah 44:24-28, and Isaiah 45:1-7.

Today, as seen all through the book of Revelations, Babylon symbolizes the global government of the beast, as described in the post on Isaiah 21:1-2. One verse from that post is, “Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.” Revelations 16:19

 The Chaldeans were part of the Babylonian Empire, to the south. They rejoiced in their ships because they were essential for economic and military power. Their ships were very large. Chaldea was located along the Euphrates River and connected with the Persian Gulf [that is seen on the image below]. That made Babylon a major trade hub and a naval power.

Babylon represents the government of the beast and Chaldea represents its global economic and worldly power over nations and people. The global government governs by the power of darkness through the beast that governs by giving them what to say, do, think, and feel. The Lord brings down the world system of today, along with the masses of its global culture, as if they are fugitives. In other words, they will have no place to run and no place to hide in the Day of the Lord.

The power center of the beast is plunged into darkness, as described in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. That renders the global government and its global culture powerless. At that time, people will no longer have the empowerment of uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, extraordinary skills and talents, uncanny authority over others, etc. The collapse of the global economy is described in Revelations 18. The Battle of Armageddon happens with the Sixth Plague of Revelations 16:12-16. Our Lord Jesus returns in combination with the Seventh Pague of Revelations 17-21 and also when the Seventh Trumpet sounds of Revelations 11:15-19.

Global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9 and is instrumental in plunging the power center of the beast into darkness.

“I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.” Isaiah 43:15

We need to acknowledge God through Jesus Christ as Lord, the Holy One, the Creator, and our King. “…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10:9-11
