“O Zion, you who bring good tidings, get up into the high mountain;” Isaiah 40:9a

Zion is the high mountain where everyone who brings the Good News of Jesus Christ is called to, “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant,” Hebrews 12:22-24

“O Jerusalem, you who bring good tidings, lift up your voice with strength, lift it up, be not afraid;” Isaiah 40:9b

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are the inhabitants of the eternal New Jerusalem who bring the message of the good tidings of the New Covenant, which is, “For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 We are to lift up our voice in sharing our born-again experience, which is the Gospel of Christ written on our heart.

We are not to be afraid in sharing how we once lived in the darkness to keep bad behavior from coming to light, then by belief in Jesus Christ we were able to live in the light and no longer be a captive to the power of darkness. It’s not about sharing our sinful past but about sharing how Jesus forgives sin, changes our way of life, fills us with the Holy Spirit, and gives us eternal life. Who would want to put a stumbling block in front of that? Who would want to intimidate and cause fear among we who share the life-changing experience in our Lord Jesus? Nevertheless, today’s culture is filled with people who do just that. “For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.” 1 Peter 3:17

How can we know that we have the Holy Spirit? If we do not speak against Christ Jesus and say that He is Lord then we have the Holy Spirit, “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:3

“Say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” Isaiah 40:9

As followers of Jesus Christ, we want to say to our brothers and sisters, “Behold your God!” The God who brings new life, eternal life, and the born-again life. We want to say to the Jewish people all around the world, “Behold your God!” A God of the Israelites, of the entire Jewish culture, and of the Israelis of the State of Israel who brings Salvation by believing in Jesus the Christ and Son of God.

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
