Holy Spirit is given through Jesus Christ and we are led into the eternal New Jerusalem.

Isaiah 30:23-26

The verses of this post begin with the words, “Then He will give…”. That refers to when we shun the idols of this world, throw them away, and say to them, “Get away!”. That is described in the previous post on Isaiah 30:18-22. When we do that, then the Lord will give to us what is mentioned in the verses of this post.

“Then He will give the rain for your seed with which you sow the ground, and bread of the increase of the earth; It will be fat and plentiful.” Isaiah 30:23a

The rain is the Water of Life, who is Jesus Christ, the giver of the Holy Spirit. The seed is the Gospel of Christ planted within the ground of our heart, mind, and soul. The bread is the Bread of Life, who is Jesus Christ, from which we feed our heart, mind, and soul. When we remove obstacles that prevent us from believing in God the Creator, to enable the testimony of Jesus to live in us, then our heart, mind, and soul will be fat and plentiful with the Holy Spirit. We know we have the Holy Spirit when we do not speak against Christ Jesus, and we say that He is Lord, as quoted, “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:3

Jesus is the Water and Bread of Life, “And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me will never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” John 6:35 Jesus is the Water of Life, “Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst. But the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:13-14

“‘And it will be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.” Deuteronomy 11:13-14

“In that day your cattle will feed in large pastures. Likewise, the oxen and the young donkeys that work the ground will eat cured fodder, which has been winnowed with the shovel and fan.” Isaiah 30:23b-24

The cattle feeding in large pastures refers to the multitude of people who come to God, through Jesus Christ, in the presence of the Holy Spirit. By the testimony of Jesus Christ living through His children, the “cattle” became large that spreads the milk of His Gospel to all the world. Multitudes have come to Christ Jesus since His death and resurrection, and up to the time of the global falling away, as described in 2 Thessalonians 2. The following describes the number of believers in Heaven, “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Revelations 7:9-10 Click for a post on Revelations 7.

Oxen and young donkeys refer to humbleness, sacrifice, and service. Oxen work to plow the field, and donkeys are humble compared to the stallions that were used for military purposes. We humble ourselves to serve God through Jesus Christ. To eat cured fodder means to eat high-quality spiritual food, which comes by living in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Cured fodder preserved the feed and was seasoned to enhance the flavor, Jesus says, “You are the salt of the earth but if the salt loses its flavor, how will it be seasoned?” Matthew 5:13

For the fodder to be winnowed with the shovel and fan refers to feed that was pure, without chaff, without weeds, and was pure grain through-and-through. The Holy Spirit is that winnowed fodder that we feed from, we are made righteous through Jesus Christ, “…you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— …even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31, Romans 3:22

Within the eternal New Jerusalem, we feed on pure fodder, “In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Revelations 22:2 “When I returned, there, along the bank of the river, were very many trees on one side and the other.” “Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.” Ezekiel 47:6-7, 12

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3-10

Christ Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own…My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; neither will anyone snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:14, 27-28

“There will be on every high mountain and on every high hill, rivers and streams of waters, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.” Isaiah 30:25

The rivers and streams on every high mountain and hill will happen in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

Towers were used to keep watch over a city to protect it from invasion and intruders of all types. The towers of this present world system are erected by the beast that watches over the government of the beast by giving people what to speak, do, think, and feel. The power center of the beast is plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. The global culture will be powerless, with no more uncanny knowledge, no heightened intuition, no extraordinary skills and talents, no uncanny authority over others, no amazing physical abilities, no fabricated emotions, etc. The “towers” will be fallen.

A great slaughter comes to the government of the beast and its global culture, after the power center of the beast is plunged into darkness. It begins with the Battle of Armageddon of the Sixth Plague of Revelations 16:12-16. It finishes with the return of Jesus Christ as King of kings, “And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.” Revelations 19:14-18

Soon after that great slaughter comes the eternal New Jerusalem, the place of every high mountain and every high hill. That is a place of rivers and streams of water, “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Revelations 22:1 The Spirit of the Lord, through Ezekiel, speaks of the waters flowing from the throne of God, as described in the post on Ezekiel 47.

“Moreover, the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days,” Isaiah 30:26a

That verse is describing the eternal New Jerusalem, “The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light…There will be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they will reign forever and ever.” Revelations 21:23, Revelations 22:5

“…in the day that the Lord binds up the bruise of His people and heals the stroke of their wound.” Isaiah 30:26b

The eternal New Jerusalem is for everyone who says “Yes!” to the healing that comes through Jesus Christ, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.” Revelations 3:11-12

The Christ, whose name is Jesus, came to bind up the bruise of His people, those who call on Him, and to heal our wounds caused by the afflictions of this world, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18-19

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There will be no more pain, for the former things have passed away...And there will be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His servants will serve Him. They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.” Revelations 21:4, Revelations 22:3-4
