“And in these days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch. Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar.” Acts 11:27-28
All through the Bible, the Prophets spoke by the Spirit of God to show how famine is going to come to this earth. We see how vulnerable the food supply is around the world today as a shortage in one country causes food shortages in countries everywhere. This is spoken about in Revelations 6:6 “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” What happens in the events of the First Trumpet contributes to scarcity of global resources of the earth, “The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.” Revelations 8:7 On top of that, the resources of the oceans become scarce, “Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.” Revelations 8:8-9 The global economy collapses as described in Revelations 18.
Our Lord Jesus very plainly says not to invest in this world, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21
The Holy Spirit wants us to be aware that a famine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is coming, and is present, in this world. The intent to drive Christianity into extinction is described in Revelations 12. In the United States, the churches have abandoned the Gospel of Jesus Christ to form a partnership with the community agenda. Government lawmakers no longer integrate the values of the Bible into their laws, policies, and executive orders. The educational system does not allow the Bible to be taught in the classrooms. And no sector of the community network welcomes Christianity. “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.’” Revelation 12:17
The beast that gives people what to speak, do, think, and feel despises the Gospel of Jesus Christ and intends to exterminate anything to do with Jesus. That beast gives life to the image of the beast to speak and live through people. The global population does not believe in God the Creator, rejects Jesus Christ, and opposes the presence of the Holy Spirit. By what they say and do they are groomed to the mark, name, number of the beast. “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelations 13:8 “The “him” in this verse is the beast of the image and mark of the beast.
“Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.” Revelations 13:6-7 “The “he” in this verse is the beast of the image and mark of the beast.
“Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea. This they also did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.” Acts 11:29-30
The Holy Spirit is guiding us to do whatever we can to help our brothers and sisters in Christ. Many are literally being imprisoned and killed in places around the world, and we are helpless to do anything. We are living in the days where our Lord Jesus Christ is being crucified again, referring to the prohibition of allowing Him to speak and live through us by the Holy Spirit. Our hands are nailed to prevent us from helping those of the way of Christ. Our feet are nailed to prevent us from going to those in need of encouragement, comfort, and help of all types. A crown of thorns is put on our head to crucify the thoughts and inspirations we have in the Spirit of Christ. And a spear is driven through our heart to cause heartache concerning the pain happening to those we love, cherish, and have a bond with.
The day is coming when our Lord says, “It is finished!” and this present heaven and earth will be destroyed, and a new heaven and earth will be created. Our eternal home is the New Jerusalem of that new heaven and earth.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
