“And it will come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they will prophesy.” Acts 2:17-18

The “last days” involve the days since the first coming of our Lord Jesus. Through Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is given by the remission of sin, and His Spirit has been poured out to the whosoever. His message to the whole world within these last days is one of grace, mercy, and Salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

How did the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ bring the last days? Because we must choose to accept or reject Him, and “…if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins…” Hebrews 10:26 Also, blaspheme of the Holy Spirit leaves no more room for forgiveness, “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.” Matthew 12:31 The Holy Spirit convicts of sin and draws us to Jesus Christ.

“Your sons and your daughters will prophecy” and “My menservants and on My maidservants…will prophesy” refers to the prophesy we have through Jesus Christ, as quoted, “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelations 19:10 If we want to know where the world is within prophecy we only need to see where the testimony of Jesus Christ is within the world. Since the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, He is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, as Jesus says, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” Matthew 5:17. The last words Jesus spoke before He died on the Cross to atone for sin was, “After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” John 19:28-30

If any of the Books of the Bible, such as Ezekiel, Habakkuk, Daniel, Zachariah, Micah, etc. are to be understood, the understanding will be through the Holy Spirit who is given through Jesus Christ. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. There are no new Prophets since the first coming of Jesus Christ because He is the fulfillment of prophecy. Even the Book of Revelations is given through Jesus Christ, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.” Revelations 1:1-2

“…your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” refers to visions and dreams given by the Holy Spirit to those whose faith is in Jesus Christ. These are not dreams and visions of a one world government, nor of a global culture, nor of an earthly Garden of Eden, nor of a “field of dreams” of any other sort. Those earthly visions and dreams are more like the “Field of Blood”, as described in the posts of Acts 1:15-19. The visions and dreams given by the Holy Spirit are rooted in Jesus Christ according to the will of God.

How many people today do you know with dreams and visions rooted in the word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit? If you are struggling to come up with any there is a reason for that. Dreams and visions given by the Holy Spirit speaks to us through the spirit, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24 Today, the beast replaces the spirit, while oppressing the presence of the Holy Spirit, to give people what to speak, do, think, and feel. That beast fights against any prophecies, dreams, or visions coming through the testimony of Jesus. That is the same beast that gives life to the image of the beast to speak and live through people. By what they are given to say and do, they are not speaking through the Holy Spirit, but are groomed to the mark, name, number of the beast.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
