“Thus says the Lord: “The labor of Egypt and merchandise of Cush and of the Sabeans, men of stature, will come over to you, and they will be yours; They will walk behind you, they will come over in chains; And they will bow down to you. They will make supplication to you, saying, ‘Surely God is in you, and there is no other; there is no other God.’” Isaiah 45:14
During the Babylonian Empire, the Egyptians, those of Cush, and the Sabeans were not taken as captives, but they were “under-the-thumb” of Babylonian rule. In contrast, the Israelites were taken into captivity and exiled far from their homeland. When Cyrus, the Persian Gentile, conquered the Babylonian Empire, the Israelites were set free to return to their homeland, while Egypt, Cush, and the Sabeans were under stricter control. We can envision how those of Egypt, Cush, and the Sabeans reacted when the Israelites were taken captive and exiled by the Babylonians. They rejoiced more than anything. Then we can envision their response to see the Israelites walking free in Jerusalem, rebuilding the temple, and rebuilding Jerusalem. They were deflated.
After Cyrus freed the Israelites, they had his full support in rebuilding Jerusalem and the temple, as described in the post on Isaiah 45:1-7. In a sense, the Egyptians, Cushites, Sabeans, and people of stature had to walk behind the Israelites. They were in chains referring to exercising “muscle” over those of Jerusalem. When they came over to Jerusalem, the Egyptians, Cushites, Sabeans, and people of renown had to submit themselves to the “sovereignty” of Jerusalem. They had to bow to the Israelites instead of giving them ultimatums concerning war plans [as in days before]. They had to make supplications to the Israelites instead of making demands as they had to humbly say, “Surely God is in you, and there is no other; there is no other God.”
We live in a culture today, which is global, that intends to hold the way of Jesus Christ in captivity while exiling people as far away as possible from the presence of the Holy Spirit. They live by the power of darkness through the beast that gives them what to say, do, think, and feel. The Holy Spirit lives within us but they want us to live by what the beast gives us to say and do, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17
“He who leads into captivity will go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” Revelations 13:10
When our Lord Jesus returns, the government of the beast and its global culture will mourn being bound in the chains of their unbelief as they see the freedom that Christ Jesus brings to us, “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.” Revelations 1:7
Christ Jesus is returning as the King of kings and Lord of lords, “Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever!…Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelations 11:15, Revelations 19:15-16
Those who serve the beast that gives them what to say and do are of the synagogue of Satan, and when our Lord Christ Jesus returns, He will make them worship before our feet to know that He has loved us, “Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.” Revelations 3:9 Satan has made the human body, the temple of God, his synagogue through the beast that has power over physiology to govern by giving people what to say, do, think, and feel. That beast is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click for a post on that.
“Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior! They will be ashamed and also disgraced, all of them; They will go in confusion together, who are makers of idols. But Israel will be saved by the Lord with an everlasting salvation; You will not be ashamed or disgraced forever and ever.” Isaiah 45:15-16
God hides Himself from those who do not believe in Him as the Creator, they scoff at the need for Jesus Christ, and do not want the Holy Spirit to be part of who they are. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” Matthew 5:8
God is the Savior of everyone who believes in His Son Jesus Christ and is also the God of Israel. Because the Jewish people have rejected Him as the Christ and Son of God, the Kingdom of God has been taken away from them and given to everyone else who accepts Him, as our Lord Jesus says to the Jewish culture, “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.” Matthew 21:43
The unbelieving Jewish people and all those of this world who scoff at the need for Christ Jesus will be ashamed and disgraced, all of them. “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.” Revelations 1:7 “...those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt.” Daniel 12:2
Salvation comes by believing in Jesus Christ, and the Jewish people are saved in the same way as everyone else who believes in Him. Because of their unbelief, the Jewish culture is placed in the same category as the government of this world, who have delivered Jesus Christ to be crucified day-by-day. “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done…let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:27-28, 10-12
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Those of today’s unbelieving culture serves the power of darkness through the beast that empowers them with what to say, do, think, and feel. They will go into confusion together who make the beast their god. That will certainly happen when the power center of the beast is plunged into darkness in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. At that time, people will no longer be empowered with uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, uncanny authority over others etc. It will all be gone, and instead of boasting in their attitude and behavior, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war with Hom” Revelations 13:4 they will be confused together in the darkness of the beast’s kingdom, worldwide. Global warming is instrumental in bringing the collapse of the power center of the beast and is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9.
Salvation and eternal life come by believing in Jesus Christ, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 We who believe are the Israel who are saved and receive eternal life, “For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, ‘In Isaac your seed will be called.’ That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed…Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, ‘And to seeds,’ as of many, but as of one, ‘And to your Seed,’ who is Christ…and if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Romans 9:6-8, Galatians 3:16, 29
Paul quotes Isaiah when Isiah said, “You will not be ashamed or disgraced forever and ever.” Paul puts that verse into perspective of believing in Jesus Christ, as quoted, “For the Scripture says, “’Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.’ For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’” Romans 10:11-13
“Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 4:1-6
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
I am coming soon.
Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
