“When You make His soul an offering for sin, He will see His seed, He will prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.”

“Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He will see His seed, He will prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.” Isaiah 53:10

It pleased the Lord to bruise and grieve His Son Jesus Christ. But not the way those of this world are pleased to see the suffering and grievance of others. God was pleased that He would once again be united with His creation by sending His Son to atone to sin.

Our Lord Jesus was bruised, as described in the posts on Isaiah 53:1-3, and Isaiah 53:4-6, and Isaiah 53:7-9.

God intended to send His Son as His sacrificial Lamb to put sin into remission, as John the Baptist said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29 Sin is put into remission like the disease of cancer is put into remission. Sin is what separates us from God and prevents fellowship with Him through the Spirit. Through Jesus Christ, we are reunited with God by the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is given to us by belief in Jesus. How can we know if we have the Holy Spirit? If we do not speak against Jesus and say that He is Lord then we have the Holy Spirit, “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:3

Our Lord Jesus was grieved and known as the “Man of Sorrows”, “He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.” Isaiah 53:3 The sorrow and grief of Jesus Christ was seen in how He struggled with having to face the torture of His crucifixion, as written, “Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, ‘Sit here while I go and pray over there’… and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, ‘My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.’ He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.’… Again, a second time, He went…prayed, saying, ‘O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.'” Matthew 26:36-39, 42

God sent His Son Jesus as an offering for sin, “For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

The life of our Lord Jesus Christ has been prolonged. God rose Him from the grave and gave Him eternal life, “Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb…the angel answered and said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen'” Matthew 28:1, 5-6

The Lord saw the seed of His Son Jesus Christ as multitudes began to come to God through Jesus Christ and to live in fellowship with Him through the Holy Spirit. Today, the testimony of Jesus has reached all seven continents around the world. The pleasure of the Lord prospers in the hand of Jesus Christ, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” John 6:29

“He will see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant will justify many, for He will bear their iniquities.” Isaiah 53:11

God has seen the labor of His Son Jesus Christ on this earth which is the labor coming from the soul of God Himself.

The knowledge of our Lord Jesus was in the Kingdom of God, and by that knowledge many came to believe in Him and were justified in the eyes of God, “Jesus began to preach and to say, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand…. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life'”. Matthew 4:17, John 5:24 Christ Jesus is indeed the righteous Servant of God.

Many have been justified by believing that His death on the Cross was to bear our sins and to forgive our unbelief.

“Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He will divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” Isaiah 53:12

Our Lord God gave our Lord Jesus a portion among the great even though [by the standards of this world] He was considered a criminal, blasphemer, and a man possessed by a demon. Today, when the name of Jesus Christ is brought up, people think of righteousness and someone who forgives sin and gives eternal life. Very few people categorize Jesus as an outlaw. People of this world might say He is too judgmental and too righteous, but never do they condemn Him as a sinner! Indeed, He has been given a portion with the great and strong of this world.

“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:8-10

Our Lord Jesus is the one who makes intercession for us, “It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us…Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”” Romans 8:34 Hebrews 7:25

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
“I am coming soon.

Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.’”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
