“I will bring the blind by a way they did not know… I will make darkness light before them,”

Isaiah 42:14-20

“I have held My peace a long time, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry like a woman in labor, I will pant and gasp at once. I will lay waste the mountains and hills, and dry up all their vegetation; I will make the rivers coastlands, and I will dry up the pools.” Isaiah 42:14-15

Those words, “I have held My peace a long time, I have been still and restrained Myself.” is in the same context as, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

We are living in the days when the Lord is beginning to, “…cry like a woman in labor…”, referring to the turbulent times we are seeing in the world today, before the birth of His return. Global warming is in the world and is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. Global warming is said to be the force driving climate change, which is bringing much pain to this world. As the Lord our God says, “I will lay waste the mountains and hills, and dry up all their vegetation; I will make the rivers coastlands, and I will dry up the pools.”

Along with global warming, there are the signs of His coming as described in Matthew 24, as He pants and gasps at once. Global warming is instrumental in bringing the collapse of the power center of the beast, which happens in the Fifth Plague of Revelations 16:10-11. Our Lord Jesus returns in combination with the Seventh Plague of Revelations 16:12-16 and the Seventh Trumpet of Revelations 11:15-19.

“I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.” Isaiah42:16

When we see a pregnant woman, we know that preparations are being made for the birth of that child. In the same way, God has sent His Son Jesus Christ to bring the blind in the way that was not seen before. He opens our eyes to see the signs of His return, which we see through the Holy Bible, and also by how we see people respond to us who believe God the Creator, acknowledge Jesus as the Christ and our Lord, and welcome the presence of the Holy Spirit. Through our born-again experience, He leads us in a way that we never saw while hiding in the darkness to avoid our sins from coming to light. Now, Christ Jesus has made our darkness light as we live for Him to enable us to see the labor pains upon this world. He has made our crooked places straight, meaning we no longer put a crimp in our relationship to God that comes by faith in Jesus Christ. He does this for everyone who believes in Him and He will not forsake us.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9

“They will be turned back, they will be greatly ashamed, who trust in carved images, who say to the molded images, ‘You are our gods.’ “Hear, you deaf; And look, you blind, that you may see.” Isaiah 42:17-18

Those who live for the flesh will be turned back and greatly ashamed because, “All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” 1 Peter 1:24-25

Those who make the beast their god are serving the power of darkness through the beast that gives them what to say, do, think, and feel. By serving the beast, people have become egocentric in the way they exalt themselves above belief in God. They feel no remorse and no need for the forgiveness of unbelief and for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ. They oppose, ridicule, and manipulate the presence of the Holy Spirit as they detest the life of Holiness. Love in the world has gone cold with no empathy for others within their superficial charm. The Lord God says them, “Hear, you deaf; And look, you blind, that you may see.” Ears need to be open to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and eyes need to be open to the work of God in this world.

“Who is blind but My servant, or deaf as My messenger whom I send? Who is blind as he who is perfect, and blind as the Lord’s servant? Seeing many things, but you do not observe; Opening the ears, but he does not hear.” Isaiah 42:19-20

Who is the servant and messenger of God that is spoken about? That is the Jewish culture. They were entrusted with the word of God from the very beginning so that they could serve Him through belief in His word. To serve Him through the Ten Commandments and the animal sacrifices for the atonement of sin. They were to be the messengers of the coming of the Christ, who we know as Jesus. The Old Testament scriptures are all about the “scarlet cord” pointing to Jesus as the Christ and Son of God.

Unfortunately for those servants and messengers, God sees them as being blind and deaf, “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in…For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves. “Woe to you, blind guides,” Matthew 23:13-16

Our Lord Jesus says this about His servants and messengers who think that they see and hear, “And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.” Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?” Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.” John 9:39-41

They see many things but are not observing what God has given them to see, they open ears for people to listen to them, but are not hearing what the Lord gives them to hear, Jesus answers them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” Matthew 16:2-3

Today, those who serve the beast say plainly, loudly, and boldly, “I see!” or “I know”, and in their attitude and behavior they boast, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelations 13:4 They are the blind ones who have been given many things to see, as given by God, but are among those who know how to discern the face of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
