God gives Christ as the New Covenant to open blind eyes and bring prisoners out of the prison.

Isaiah 42:1-9

“I am the Lord, that is My name;
And My glory I will not give to another.”
Isaiah 42:8

 “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.” Isaiah 42:1

The Lord upholds Christ Jesus, as He says, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” Luke 9:35 The soul of the Lord delights in Jesus as He has put His Spirit upon Him, “And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” Luke 3:22 Also, our Lord Jesus was born by the Spirit of God, through the virgin Mary, not through the semen of a man, “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and will call His name Jesus…then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.” Luke 131, 34-35

Our Lord Jesus Christ has brought justice to all of us non-Jewish “Gentiles”, “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” Matthew 4:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

By the Holy Spirit, Matthew quotes Isaiah, “Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He will declare justice to the Gentiles.” Matthew 12:18

“He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth.” Isaiah 42:2-3

Nowadays, there are constant protests, riots, and all sorts of turbulence happening in the open streets. People everywhere, around the world, are crying out and raising their voices to be heard in the streets. Our Lord Jesus did not join in any of those things in those days and does not expect we who follow Him to do so nowadays. Our Lord Jesus came as the Lamb of God, He is the Good Shepherd, and we are His sheep. His sheep hears His voice and He knows His sheep.

Christ Jesus does not break a bruised reed, meaning He does not give up on Christians who are barely alive in their testimony for Him. Jesus does not quench the smoking flax, which means He does not give up on those who were once on fire with the Holy Spirit but now only the smoke is present of what used to be the fire.

In the Spirit, Matthew quotes Isaiah, “He will not quarrel nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench, till He sends forth justice to victory; And in His name Gentiles will trust.” Matthew 12:19-21

Below, the image to the left is a bruised reed, slumping over and ready to die instead of standing straight up, strong, and firm. The image to the right is the smoke of a candle where the fire was once aflame.

“He will bring forth justice for truth” refers to combining justice with truth. In other words, His justice is not based on whether a person is faithful to a government agenda but rather is based on the content of a person’s heart and soul. Nowadays, the sweetness of justice has become bitterness, the goodness of justice has become evil, and the light of justice has become darkness. There is no fairness towards those who reject the culture of the beast, those who shun living by what the beast gives them to say, do, think, and feel. Christ Jesus has come to restore the sweetness, goodness, and the light of justice by forgiving sin and giving the promise of eternal life, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24

“He will not fail nor be discouraged, till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands will wait for His law.” Isaiah 42:4

The “coastlands” can be thought of as people not fitting into mainstream society. Spiritually, the coastlands are people who are without belief in God, Jesus Christ, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Their spirit and soul are not receiving the Gospel seed and blossoming with the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

For the Israelites, it was thousands of years from the prophecies of the coming of the Christ to when He actually came 2026 years ago. Through all those years, the Lord God never failed nor became discouraged in His plan to send His Son Jesus to reconcile us to Him. When He did come, He was rejected by the Jewish people, except the “coastlands” of the Jewish culture, “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-13

As followers of Jesus Christ, He never ever fails us nor becomes discouraged with us, we are saved by His grace and mercy, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,” Ephesians 2:8-9 That is the justice He has established on this earth, ” For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 We are the “coastlands” in this world as we wait for His return, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

“Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk on it:” Isaiah 42:5

The Holy Trinity created us, and the Trinity includes God, Christ, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We were created in Their image, meaning having a spirit and soul to have eternal fellowship with the Three, “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image,” Genesis 1:26 The Lord God breathed life into His creation, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7

The beast gives breath/life to the image of the beast to speak by speaking and living through people but is not able to breathe life into the spirit and soul so that people can speak of God the Creator, speak of Jesus as the Christ and Lord, and to speak in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord God created the heavens and stretched them out, but as judgment against the government of the beast and its global culture, the heavens are being rolled up like a scroll. The protective atmosphere of the planet is being rolled away as global warming has come upon all the world. Global warming is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9.

Our Lord God has spread forth the earth and everything that comes from it, and as judgment against the government of the beast, this earth is being destroyed. There is already an abundance of earthquakes, droughts, floods, severe storms, etc. All attributed [by those of this world] to climate change brought on by global warming.

The order of creation drives people to believe in evolution, which causes them to change the truth of God for the lie, and to worship and serve the creature rather than the Creator, Romans 1:25 They have “…changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” Romans 1:23

The order in which the Lord God created is this, 1] The earth was without form and in darkness, so the Lord created light, creating day and night. 2] Then came the sky that separates the water from of the skies from the water on earth. 3] Then from the waters, appeared the dry earth that separated the waters to form the various oceans. The earth brought forth the vegetation. 4] Then came the ability to recognize stars and all of what is in space, and to assign seasons, years, and days. The designation of day and night came according to the appearance of the sun, moon, and stars. 5] Then the waters were filled with life and the earth with birds. 6] Then God created all of the animals of the earth, and human beings, while placing people over all of His living creation. 7] Then God rested from His work of creation.

The writer of Genesis chapter 1 wasn’t there to witness the creation, but by the Spirit of the Lord he knew the order of creation. The planet was created way before human beings and way before any human being even picked up a writing utensil and something to write on. Of course, no one would expect the Scriptures to be as old as creation, not even close. But all scripture is inspired by the Spirit of the Lord, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

“I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.” Isaiah 42:6-7

The Lord God called His Son in righteousness, “…by His knowledge will my righteous Servant justify many; for He will bear their iniquities.” – Isaiah 53:11 Our Lord Jesus was righteous, but still needed His Father to hold His hand, as seen during the anguish of facing His crucifixion on the Cross, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Luke 22:42-44

Our Lord Jesus Christ was given as a covenant to every single person on this earth. He spent His life bringing healing and the forgiveness of sin to whoever had faith to believe, and He was crucified on the Cross to atone for sin. He was resurrected from the grave after three days as a sign of the resurrection power of God to give eternal life. He is indeed the covenant that God makes with us, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but after eternal life.” John 3:16

Christ Jesus is the light given to all non-Jewish Gentiles. 2000 years ago, the non-Jewish people did not have the scriptures because the word of God was exclusively given to the Israelites. The light of Jesus Christ came by hearing His Gospel, not through the written word. In those days, the following verse was very, very, liberating, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 Jesus is the word of God, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

Our Lord Jesus came to open the blind eyes, the blindness of not ever seeing the word of God. He came to free the prisoners from prison, never again to be imprisoned by the written word that they would never see. Never again imprisoned by sin and death. He came to bring light, and people would never again have to live in the darkness of never knowing God through the Spirit. Our eyes are opened from within the heart and spirit, we are freed from within the heart and soul, and light comes from within our heart and soul. Faith in Christ Jesus opens our eyes to the presence of the Holy Spirit, frees us from sin and death to live life in the Spirit, and gives us the ability step into the light and away from a life lived in the shadow of darkness.

Jesus verified the words of Isaiah, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18-19

“I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to carved images. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.” Isaiah 42:8-9

In the post on Isaiah 41:25-29, the Lord called Cyrus by name to liberate the Israelites from their captivity in Babylon. However, the Israelites would have to understand that the name of the Lord is not Cyrus. The Lord God does not share His glory with another.

The name of the Lord is Jesus and His glory is seen in Christ Jesus, “Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him…Now My soul is troubled, and what will I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.” John 17:1-2, John 12:27-28

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:8-11

The days of Cyrus are over, just as the days of faith in God through the laws of Judaism are over. Faith in God now comes through Jesus Christ, “For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” John 1:17

The Old Testament is all about the prophecy of the coming of the Christ, whose name is Jesus. Those prophecies are known as the “scarlet cord” that connects the Old Testament to Jesus Christ as the New Testament [New Covenant]. That is why the Lord God says, “Before they spring forth I tell you of them.” Today, the New Testament is also full of prophecy relating to the second coming of Christ Jesus, such as the book of Revelations and Matthew 24, but not only in those two places. Our Lord Jesus is the one who reveals those prophecies, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place.” Revelations 1 “Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

The “…testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelations 19:10 If we want to know where the world is within prophecy we only have to see where Jesus Christ is within the world. “Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

The Lord does not share His glory with carved images, which would be to share His glory with the false god of this world. The beast that gives people what to say, do, think, and feel is the false god of the culture of today. The power center of the beast is destroyed as described in the Fifth Plague Revelations 16:10-11. Global warming is instrumental in plunging the power center of the beast into darkness and is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9.
