“Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God.” Isaiah 40:1

The comfort we provide to the Jewish people is that there is peace through Jesus Christ. He gives peace, but not like the earthly peace that comes by defeating earthly enemies, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27. In Christ Jesus, our warfare is not against the enemies on earth but is a spiritual warfare, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12 We stand beside the Jewish people, not with bombs, guns, protests, and riots, but through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we comfort one another with the encouragement that our Lord Jesus is returning to bring us home to the eternal New Jerusalem, “And thus we will always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 The patience we have in this sin-plagued world is to know that this present world system will be defeated, “If anyone has an ear, let him hear. He who leads into captivity will go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” Revelations 13:9-10

“Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; For she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.” Isaiah 40:2

Our Lord Jesus says to the Jewish people, “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you will see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Matthew 23:38-39 Their warfare on this earth, their warfare against Jesus as the Christ, will end when their iniquity is pardoned by coming to God through Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of unbelief and for the remission of sin. The Jewish people receive double for their sins as will be seen in their desolation during the Battle of Armageddon [Revelations 16:12-16], then there will be a remnant that is saved by coming to Jesus Christ, which is described on the post on the Day After from Ezekiel 39. Even today, The Israelis have been in 19 wars since the very year that they were established as the State of Israel in 1948, click for a list of those wars and scroll half-way down the page.

If the Jewish people would have said “Yes!” to Jesus 2000 years ago, the Jewish culture nor the State of Israel would have existed. They would be Christian, and as followers of Jesus Christ, we are not one color, one language, one culture, with one country. Instead, we are in nations around the world, many different colors, and many different languages, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:28-29 As followers of Jesus Christ, we do not have a country or culture on this earth to call our own, our country is the eternal New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth.

Normal Isn’t Coming Back, Jesus Is.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
