“Afterward he brought me to the gate, the gate that faces toward the east. And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory.” Ezekiel 43:1-2
The east gate faces the door of the Temple, and the altar sits just outside the door, as can be seen in the picture in the post on Ezekiel 40. The altar is the Cross where Jesus Christ poured out His blood as the Lamb of God to atone for our sin. By the atonement He made for our sin, Jesus has opened access to us into the Holy place of the temple, into the presence of God. Now, the altar represents the place within our soul where we give our life to live for Jesus Christ. His temple is our body as the temple of the Holy Spirit as Jesus lives in us by the forgiveness of sin. The glory of God comes through Jesus Christ who lives in us, and our earthy bodies shine with His light. His voice has been heard all around the world, like the sound of many waters.
….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
