Having Our Names Written in the Lamb’s Book of Life is More Thrilling than Having Power Over Evil Spirits

Returning with joy after sharing the Gospel within a world inhabited by wolves. “Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” Luke 10:17 The seventy have just returned from being sent out like lambs in a world filled with wolves to share about the kingdom of God. They returned from that world of conflict with joy! They shared with those who were receptive to them and walked away from the ones who were not. There is nothing easier than that, and is what Jesus asks of us all. It’s a joy to see demons being subjected because they are very destructive to the person who they inhabitant, and to others. When a demon is subjected, the blasphemy against God stops, the attack towards the Holy Spirit stops, and people make Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of their life. Today, Satan operates through the mark of the beast and has the power to form thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors. The world is plagued with demons.

Jesus Christ saw Satan fall from Heaven. “And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” Luke 10:18 With every soul who comes to God through Jesus Christ, Satan falls in defeat. When Jesus said He saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven, it was encouraging to His disciples who associated His words with them subjecting demons in His name. Also, now that the disciples knew Jesus has authority over Satan and his demons, Jesus shared something very personal with them, He literally saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven! Jesus has always existed from the beginning of time, but not as a human, and He literally saw Lucifer (Satan) fall from Heaven, as spoken here,

“How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit.”
Isaiah 14:12-15

The above verses also explain why Satan wants to have absolute power over the world by establishing the global government through the mark of the beast. Satan wants to establish himself as God by making the person the seat of government for the mark of the beast instead of the home of the Holy Spirit. He does that in conjunction with the thing that has power over physiology and forms thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behaviors, “…it opposes and exalts itself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that it sits in the temple of God, showing itself that it is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4

We are given authority over all the power of the enemy. “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 Jesus Christ does not ask us to go around stepping on deadly snakes and scorpions, that is something that might be seen in some weird carnival act or something. And Jesus Christ by no means promises that we will never be harmed in this life, He suffered viciously, “And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Mark 15:34 Jesus said this as He hang from the Cross and represents the coming days of severe persecution that the people of God will suffer. Even then, the relationship Jesus has with His Father was never harmed, He remained sinless and atoned for sin. Likewise, there is nothing that can harm us when it comes to our life in the Spirit of Christ. Days will come when the followers of Jesus Christ cy out, “My God, my God why have you forsaken me?” but our devotion to God through Jesus will remain unharmed. There are many serpents and scorpions that enter our mind and heart through the thing that has power over physiology to form thoughts and emotions. But by the Holy Spirit, they are trampled on and do not harm our devotion to Jesus. The Holy Spirit helps us to discern the serpents and scorpions, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

Rejoice that our name is written in Heaven, not that spirits are subject to us. “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20 There is something much more valuable than rejoicing in having authority over evil spirits, serpents, and scorpions, our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. In those days when we cry out, “My God, my God why have you forsaken me!” it will be very important to know our names are written in Heaven. Today, many signs and wonders come through the mark of the beast, including taking away pain, and the ability to simulate the casting out of demons and restoring stable thoughts and emotions, “It performs great signs, so that it even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And it deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which it was granted to do…” Revelation 13:13-14 Even then, those great signs do nothing to reconcile people to God through Jesus Christ, it is fraudulent deception. Satan specializes in healings of all types, “And I saw one of its heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and its deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.” Revelation 13:3 Our great rejoicing does not come by authority over spirits, but our rejoicing comes because we have Salvation through Jesus Christ, and our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

The kingdom of God is revealed to babes, not the wise and prudent. The power and authority of the kingdom of God are not seen by the powerful people in think-tanks, nor by philosophers, nor by the “educated,” nor by any who deems themselves wise and prudent by worldly standards. The wise and prudent of this world used their ingenuity to establish the thing that has power over physiology, and now they are progressing forward in establishing the global government of the mark of the beast. The power and authority of the kingdom of God are revealed to those who are innocent babes in a world filled with wolves, and Jesus rejoices over us, “In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.” Luke 10:21 It is only through the Holy Spirit that anyone can come to know who Jesus Christ is, who has power and authority in all the earth and in Heaven. Those who live by the mark of the beast cannot know God nor Jesus because they listen to the voice of the thing that has power over thoughts and feelings and ignores the voice of the Holy Spirit. “All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” Luke 10:22

“Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole
I want Thee forever to live in my soul
Break down every idol, cast out every foe
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.”

We are seeing today what prophets and rulers yearned to see. The coming of Jesus Christ is the greatest event that has ever happened in the history of creation. But “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” Isaiah 53:1 When the prophets and kings read the entire chapter of Isaiah 53, and all the other Holy Scriptures, they yearned to see His coming and to see and hear what we see and hear, “Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see; for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it.” Luke 10:23-24 There are also other prophecies happening today that makes the people of God yearn with anticipation for His return, 1) Global warming is with us which is instrumental in destroying the power center of the mark of the beast (Revelation 16:8-10) 2) The global government has been established (Revelation 17 and Daniel 8) 3) The mark of the beast is here (Revelation 13) The global government, global warming, and the mark of the beast are each in their infancy, and they are progressing hand-in-hand. The sun becomes hotter and hotter as the global government becomes harder and harder against the people of God.
