Betrayal of Christ Leads to Aggression

Luke 22:35-38

This is during the time that the betrayal of Jesus Christ has been bought and paid for, but just inches away from His arrest and Crucifixion. There is a lot of mistrust, suspicion, and issues over who has authority over who. This portion of scripture reminds me of the “Preppers.” Some of the Preppers are highly suspicious of government taking away their constitutional rights, and rightly so. They even arm themselves with personal weapons in preparation to defend their rights. Even Christians are suspicious of the government that operates through government of the the beast that intrudes into thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. Some Preppers are merely preparing for the end time catastrophe, not necessarily for the return of Jesus Christ. Some are Christians, who know Christ will be returning, and some are not.

Preppers prepare within these difficult days by stocking of on living essentials, and would embrace the verse below.

“Then Jesus asked them,
“When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?”
“Nothing,” they answered.
He said to them,
“But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag;
and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”
Luke 22:35

Jesus Christ makes it clear that He always provides for His followers, and there is none lacking anything. But now, the Spirit of Christ has been betrayed and a mob will soon come to arrest and kill Him. This is like the times we are living in today, where Jesus Christ is put away, the Holy Spirit is being spat on, and the beast with power over physiology is worshipped as God. They take away the Godly foundations of the US constitution, take away the Gospel of Christ from the Church, and come against anyone who oppose them. At this time, it sounds like Jesus could be talking directly to the Preppers when He says to get ready, grab your bags, money, and a weapon.

“It is written:
‘And He was numbered with the transgressors’;
and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me.
Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment.”
The disciples said, “See, Lord, here are two swords.”
“That’s enough!” He replied.”
Luke 22:37-38

A transgressor in this case would be one who is not part of the social network of the beast, which is a global culture. Jesus and His disciples were not, and are not today, part of today’s atheistic culture. Today, we see that people are rebelling against the government that governs by giving people what to speak, do, think, and feel. That seems to be what the MAGA ]Make America Great Again] group is all about, led by the American President, Donald trump. The national heritage of countries worldwide are changing as are the Godly foundations of the US constitution. Jesus Christ is counted among that rebellion simple because He gives the Holy Spirit and “defiantly” warns about the government of the beast. In the eyes of today’s government, rebels are anyone who speaks against the Godless government that sets itself up as God and destroys the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are and never will be a well-armed militia, just individuals who might own a gun. Gun ownership nowadays puts people in the crosshairs of today’s culture of the beast, and causes Christians to be numbered among the transgressors, among the armed rebellion. That describes many of the Preppers who own a personal weapon, not part of a militia, but will defend their rights as described under the US Constitution.

Jesus died at the hands of Godless authorities, as a transgressor, to bring Salvation to whoever believes in Him. Today, many who rebel against Godless authorities can relate to the Gospel of Christ that warns against the government that functions by its power over physiology to intrude into what people think, feel, do, and say. Jesus is counted among the transgressors even today.

Therefore, I will give Him a portion among the many,
    and He will divide the spoils with the numerous,
because He poured out His life unto death,
    and was numbered with the transgressors.
For He bore the sin of many,
    and made intercession for the transgressors.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
