Christ Reveals the Betrayal

“In the same way, after the supper He took the cup, saying,
“This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.
But the hand of him who is going to betray Me is with mine on the table.
The Son of Man will go as it has been decreed.
But woe to that man who betrays Him!”
They began to question among themselves which of them it might be who would do this.”
Luke 22:20-23

The cup of wine that Jesus refers to as being the New Covenant represents the Blood that He shed on the Cross. From the day of His crucifixion on the Cross, all people are now able to access God directly through Jesus Christ. A human being is no longer required to be the bridge to God. Killing animals is no longer required for the atonement of sin. Jesus Christ is the only way to God. From the day of His crucifixion, Christ became the intercessor for every person, and became the atonement for sin for all who believe in Him.

It doesn’t sit well with some that Jesus Christ is the way to God and the atonement for sin. In fact, they betray Jesus Christ and worship something else as God. Satan entered Judas to betray Jesus to put a stop to His ministry. The same is true today as the Gospel of Jesus Christ is being discarded, even within the manmade churches. Some claim to be close to the Gospel of Jesus Christ but they are the ones betraying Him, like Judas [once an Apostle of Jesus] who delivered Him to be crucified. They welcome the beast to enter them that gives them what to speak, do, think, and feel. Those who govern and live for the beast set themselves up as God and they do not want competition from God’s Son. They work constantly to betray the intercession made through Jesus and to eliminate the Salvation that comes through Him.

God’s plan of Salvation couldn’t be stopped then, and the Salvation that Jesus Christ brings at His return cannot be stopped either. In the same way that His death on the Cross was scheduled to happen, so also is the global tribulation scheduled to happen. There is going to be enormous suffering and pain, but the person causing suffering to God’s people will suffer greatly. Judas suffered a gruesome death after His betrayal of Christ, and those afflicting the Christians will suffer a gruesome fate of eternal torment. The call is to be faithful to God through Jesus and to reject the beast that betrays Him.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
