To Receive or not to Receive

Matthew 7:7-12

One thing separates the giving done by Jesus Christ and the giving done by those living by the thing which gives them what to think, feel, say, and do. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them so what they say and do is not going to contribute to the Spirit. By what they say and do, they are conformed to their place in life as they are groomed to the mark of the beast. They are not open-handed to Christianity.

One way or another, giving has an impact on human sentimentality and the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Those who give according to the thing which gives them what to think, feel, and do give in a way that draws a person to them and away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Or their giving is designed to fuel a lifestyle that is destructive and tends to shorten a life. For example, they give a little cash so you can “live a little” but they oppose living a little for the Gospel of Christ.

When Jesus Christ gives, it is to enhance human qualities filled with His Spirit. The giving done by one person will lead to eternal torment, and the giving done by the other leads to eternal life. Be careful who you ask from, be careful what you look for, and be careful whose door you are knocking on.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So, in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:7-12

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
