The land of Israel was taken away from the Jewish people.
Enemies of Israel claim the land of Israel as their own. “And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say, ‘O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God: “Because the enemy has said of you, ‘Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession,’”’ Ezekiel 36:1-2

In this chapter of Ezekiel, the majority of the verses involve God speaking about the land of Israel, to the territory of land that we know as Israel. In these first two verses, God has Ezekiel to make known what is going to happen to the land of Israel as a result of the enemy claiming the territory to be theirs.

Today, we see how there is a huge conflict over the land of Israel. The “Two State Solution” has already been approved by the all the members of the United Nations, except of course, Israel. They only need to implement it, which will require the “arm-twisting” of the government of Israel. We can already hear faint whispers of the enemies of the land of Israel saying, ”Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession…” The world government and its global culture are very close to loudly saying, ‘Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession…”.

In the picture below, the image to the right is the land of Israel during the Old Testament, as described in Ezekiel 48. The image to the left is how the land of Israel is today, with a big chunk being referred to as the West Bank and Gaza Strip. That is where we hear the whisper of the enemies of the land of Israel saying, “‘Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession…” In the process of the United Nations being established as the one world government, they want to be able to loudly proclaim, “‘Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession…”

Enemies of Israel devour her from every side to make her the possessions of the nations. “…therefore prophesy, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Because they made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side, so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations, and you are taken up by the lips of talkers and slandered by the people”— ” Ezekiel 36:3

The desolation of the land of Israel in this verse refers to a time before the Jewish people were gathered there in 1948. Verse 8 of this chapter of Ezekiel begins talking about the land of Israel being repopulated, referring to when the Jewish people were gathered there in 1948.

When Titus destroyed Jerusalem in 70AD, the land of Israel was swallowed up on every side and made desolate of the Jewish culture. The land of Israel was surrounded by enemies on every side that were certainly happy to welcome the destruction brought by the Romans. Other countries joined with Titus in desolating the land of Israel. Between 70AD and 1948, for 1878 years, the land of Israel was open to be possessed by the rest of the nations and people everywhere slandered her. That slander involved making a mockery of the territory of Israel being the promised land of the Jewish people.

Jesus Christ spoke of the desolation that would come to Israel in 70AD, just 37 years after His death and resurrection, “Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” Matthew 24:1-2

Our Lord Jesus spoke these words to the Jewish people, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Matthew 23:37-39

Today, we can see how the land of the State of Israel is swallowed up on every side by enemies that hate her. Not only in the Middle East region, but also by the masses of the global culture who riot and protest against Israel in cities around the world. The members of the United Nations are also coming against Israel to bring her into conformity with their global agenda. Their intent is to make the land of Israel the possession of the rest of the nations, to be the possession of the global government. The land of Israel is being slandered by the lips of talkers around the world who mock that the land of Israel is the promised land of the Jewish people.

The Land of Israel is spoken to by God.
The Land of Israel was spoken to by God. “…therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to the mountains, the hills, the rivers, the valleys, the desolate wastes, and the cities that have been forsaken, which became plunder and mockery to the rest of the nations all around— ” Ezekiel 36:4

God is speaking to the land of Israel that had been sitting dormant as far as not having a Jewish population to occupy/rule over the land. The land of Israel had been sitting dormant since the day Titus desolated it in 70AD until 1948 when the land was declared a Jewish State in 1948. For 1878 years the land of Israel had been a desolate waste with no Jewish nation. Cities were forsaken and empty of Jewish rule/occupancy. The land of Israel was plundered in 70AD and never restored to Jewish power, which made it a mockery to the rest of the nations all around. For 1878 years, people all around the globe were making a mockery of a promised land that the Jewish people fled from, were scattered from, and dispersed from.

The Jewish people rejected Jesus Christ as their Messiah and Savior just about 37 years before the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70AD. The destruction was part of the judgment of God against them for turning from His will for them to accept Jesus Christ. Today, if the Jewish people would have received Jesus as their Christ and Savior, the Jewish State of Israel would never have existed. Instead of being Jewish, they would be Christian and as Christians we do not have a nation on this earth to call our own. Our nation is the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Ats 2:36

The land of Israel was spoken to from God’s fiery jealousy against the plunderers that made the land theirs. “…therefore thus says the Lord God: “Surely I have spoken in My burning jealousy against the rest of the nations and against all Edom, who gave My land to themselves as a possession, with wholehearted joy and spiteful minds, in order to plunder its open country.”’ Ezekiel 36:5

For 1878 years [between 70AD and 1948], the land of Israel was desolate of a Jewish nation with other nations plundering its open country. With burning jealousy, God spoke against the rest of the nations, and all that spitefully came against the land of Israel to make it their possession. He spoke with a burning jealousy for the land of Israel because that is His Holy land. For it to be desolated and plundered was a direct mockery of Him as God and to His Holy name. Not only did other nations possess and plunder the land of Israel, but they did so with wholehearted joy and spite.

Today, we see how there is wholehearted joy and spite against mishaps, hardships, conflict, and war that is upon the land of Israel constantly. The enemies of Israel can’t wait for the land of Israel to become their possession, to be under the authority of the global government, so that they can spitefully rejoice and celebrate with their whole heart. Even so, the land belongs to God, and in His burning jealousy He speaks against the atheistic nations and global culture that wants that land as their possession.

We can assess that God has created the eternal promised land of the New Jerusalem, which belongs to Him, and is given as an inheritance to His children who are born through Jesus Christ. The diagnosis is that this present atheistic world system and its global culture wants to plunder and desolate the promised land by plundering the Holy Spirit and preventing people from coming to God through Jesus Christ. They do this with wholehearted joy and spite.

We plan to live in the presence of the Holy Spirit, who is our guarantee of inheriting life in the New Jerusalem, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance…” Ephesians 1:13-14 We implement that plan by living for God through Jesus Christ who is the giver of the Holy Spirit. We know the plan is successful when the fruit of the Spirit is part of who we are, Galatians 5:22-26.

The land of Israel has borne the shame of the nations. “Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains, the hills, the rivers, and the valleys, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I have spoken in My jealousy and My fury, because you have borne the shame of the nations.” Ezekiel 36:6

God spoke with fury and jealousy for the land of Israel because for 1878 years, from 70AD to 1948, other nations had brought their shame into her. In the Holiness of God, that refers to the land of Israel being used and inhabited by nations in ways that was not compatible to the will of God. That is something that angered the Lord in His jealousy for the land of Israel as His possession.

Today, all of the “sacred” sites that tourists flock to in the territory around Israel has always been there for those 1878 years, and many years before that. That includes the Tomb of Jesus (where He was resurrected from the grave after three days), the site where Christ was crucified on the Cross, the site of His transfiguration, the site of His baptism, and so very, very much more. When the land of Israel was made desolate, other nations walked all over that land without a thought that they were walking on Holy ground. The land of Israel bore the shame of nations and that sparked the fury and jealousy of God.

Today, we see the land of Israel bearing the shame of the nations. For example, Jerusalem is divided between West and East Jerusalem where West Jerusalem is Israeli territory, but East Jerusalem is Muslim/Palestinian territory. The Temple Mount (the temple built by Solomon) is not even possessed by the Jewish people as it is situated in East Jerusalem, under the control of the Palestinian/Muslims, and called the Al-Aqsa Mosque. On top of that, the West Bank territory has taken a huge chunk away from the land of Israel. With all of that, the Gaza Strip is another chunk taken away from the land of Israel. The land of Israel is barely what it used to be, and the Lord is speaking and will continue to speak is His fury and jealousy for the land of Israel as His possession.

“The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:19-24

In the picture below, we can see how the land of Israel bears the shame of nations. Israel is the yellowish colored area, and the West Bank has turned a huge portion of the yellowish into white. There is also the small white rectangle area that has turned the yellowish into white in the southwest corner bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Jerusalem has been divided between the yellowish area and the white area. Also, the “Two State Solution” is very near to being implemented, which will declare the State of Palestine in the same way the State of Israel was declared in 1948. The land of Israel has and continues to bear the shame of the nations.

Nations around the land of Israel bear their own shame. “Therefore thus says the Lord God: “I have raised My hand in an oath that surely the nations that are around you shall bear their own shame.” Ezekiel 36:7

For 1878 years, from 70AD to 1948, the nations around the land of Israel bore their own shame. That means they were seen in the eyes of God of engaging in wrong and foolish behavior in their wholehearted joy and spitefulness against the desolate land of Israel. They had no guilt or remorse of any type about treading on the Holy Land with total disregard for what God did there through Jesus Christ. They had no reverence for the site where Christ Jesus died on the Cross to atone for sin. They had no reverence for the tomb where our Lord Jesus laid dead, and God raised Him to life after three days. They had no reverence for the place where Christ Jesus was transfigured, and no reverence for the place where Jesus ascended into Heaven. God swore an oath that those nations would always be seen in His eyes as shameful.

The Holy Spirit speaks the following verses, through King David, about those who behave shamefully towards God the Creator, who scoff at the need for Jesus Christ to forgive sin and oppresses the presence of the Holy Spirit. They bear their own shame.

“Let their table become a snare before them, and their well-being a trap. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see; And make their loins shake continually. Pour out Your indignation upon them, and let Your wrathful anger take hold of them. Let their dwelling place be desolate; Let no one live in their tents. For they persecute the ones You have struck, and talk of the grief of those You have wounded. Add iniquity to their iniquity, and let them not come into Your righteousness. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.” Psalms 69:22-28

The Land of Israel reached out to the Jewish people who are about to come. “But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come.” Ezekiel 36:8

The phrase, “for they are about to come” refers to the day when the Jewish people would be regathered to the land of Israel. That happened in 1948 when the land of Israel was declared to be the Jewish State of Israel, as we know it today. Jewish people from all around the globe gathered there, especially from Europe and Nazi Germany after WW2 (ended 1945). The land of Israel shot forth her branches and yielded fruit to extend a welcome to the migrating Jewish people.

Since the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we Christians have been extended the fruit of the branches of Israel. Our Lord Jesus was Jewish, of Israel, and from the Tribe of Judah and we are His fruit. The phrase, “for they are about to come”, refers to the coming of Christianity into the land of the Kingdom of God and being adopted into the house of Israel. Today, “The house of Israel” refers to those who live for God through Jesus Christ, “For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.” Romans 9:6-8

The Jewish people are branches that have been broken off from the family tree of God, “You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.” Romans 11:19-22

In the New Testament, since the coming of Jesus Christ, there are no blessings mentioned for the Jewish people. The Old Testament blessings promised to Israel have become the blessings of those who believe in Jesus Christ. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13

The Holy Spirit speaks to us through the Old Testament of how Christians (the younger) receive the blessings of the Jewish people (the older). There is Jacob who received Esau’s blessing, Genesis 27. Before that, there was Able who received Cain’s blessing, Genesis 4:1-9There was Zerah who received Perez’s blessing, Genesis 38:27-30. There was Ephraim who received Manasseh’s blessing, Genesis 48:8-20. And there was Moses who became God’s leader and not his older brother Aaron, Exodus 7:7. This is known as the “scarlet cord” that points to Jesus Christ as the Messiah, whom the first-born Jewish people rejected, but the younger Christianity receives Him.

The land of Israel was favored by God to be tilled and sown. “For indeed I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown.” Ezekiel 36:9

God reveals that He is for the land of Israel, He turns to her and wants her to be tilled and sown. After 1878 years of being desolate, between 70AD and 1948, the land of Israel was again tilled and sown by the Jewish people. In 1948, the land of Israel was declared a state and the Jewish people migrated there from all across the globe.

The following paragraph include the many ways that the land of Israel was tilled and sown since 1948, The State of Israel has produced many Nobel Peace Prize recipients for their contributions to humanity. Numerous medalists of the international Olympic games have come from Israel. Their stock market is connected to international nations. International tech companies like IBM and INTEL have set up offices in Israel. The Israelis are recognized internationally for their high-tech achievements and in 2018 were recognized as being in the top ten most innovatively powerful nations. Tel-Aviv has been named internationally as a high-tech start-up capital. The State of Israel has an international airline and is a world leader in the dairy industry. With their technology, they help other nations to grow crops in the desert and to de-salt water to serve the needs of the domestic population. Israel had a record-breaking year for their economy around 2017 and in that year, Miss Israel starred as “Wonder Woman”.

Unfortunately, the Israelis have not allowed their soul and spirit to be tilled and sown with the seed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is why there are no blessings for Israel mentioned in the New Testament and the blessings spoken for Israel in the Old Testament have been transferred to those who live for God through Jesus Christ.

When God tills our spirit and soul, He removes the stones and plants within the softness of the good soil. The seeds planted in the good soil are from the Gospel of Jesus Christ who fills us with the Holy Spirit, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you…” Ezekiel 36:26-27

God is for us, has turned towards us through His Son Jesus Christ, and wants us to be tilled and sown with the Holy Spirit. God wants us to be those who receive the seed of the testimony of Jesus and blossom with abundant fruit of the Spirit. Click here for the Parable of the Sower of Matthew 13:1-23 God wants us to blossom with the fruit love, kindness, goodwill, peace, meekness, gentleness, faith, joy, goodness, perseverance, self-control, and patience. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:22-26

” …finding some disciples he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” Acts 19:1-3

The land of Israel was made to be filled with the Jewish people. “I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 36:10-11

God spoke to the land of Israel that after 1878 years of being desolate of Jewish occupation and rule, between 70AD and 1948, she would again be inhabited. The Jewish people would be multiplied upon the land, all of the house of Israel would populate her in 1948. Every single Jewish person who wanted to be reunited as a Jewish nation, every one of them, could freely gather within the newly formed State of Israel. There are 73 major cities in Israel that are populated to the extent of being recognized as a municipality. There are about 12 million Israelis that inhabit the land. The ruins that laid desolate of Jewish government and population for 1878 years are now inhabited and rebuilt. People and animals have multiplied within the borders of the State of Israel. They are better established as a nation today than they were in their Old Testament beginnings. We can truly say that the hand of God is still working in this world today and He is Lord.

The Jewish people have their earthly promised land, but unless they reconcile to God through Jesus Christ, they will never step foot onto the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. We know that there are no blessings for Israel mentioned in the New Testament, and all of the blessings promised to Israel in the Old Testament have become the inheritance of those who live for God through Jesus Christ.

God speaks these words to Abraham, “I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.” Genesis 22:17 However, the Holy Spirit clarifies this in the New Testament to mean those living for Jesus Christ are Abraham’s descendants, “Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.” Galatians 3:16 “For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham;” Romans 9:6-7

The land of the New Jerusalem, in the new heaven and earth, will have multiple multitudes of people entering in. These are those who live for Jesus Christ, His house of Israel, “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” Romans 2:28-29 This present heaven and earth will be destroyed but a new heaven and earth will be created to give rise to new cities and new populations in the Kingdom of Heaven. Things will be much better in the New Jerusalem than what ever existed in this world. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

The land of Israel was the inheritance of the Jewish people. “Yes, I will cause men to walk on you, My people Israel; they shall take possession of you, and you shall be their inheritance; no more shall you bereave them of children.” Ezekiel 36:12

God assures the land of Israel that the Jewish people would once again walk on her and have possession of her. The earthly land of Israel is indeed the inheritance that the Jewish people receive, and the land of Israel would no longer deprive the Jewish people of their occupation there. In 1948, after WW2 in 1945, the State of Israel was declared upon the land of Israel. The Jewish people inhabited the land, took control of its government, and indeed inherited the earthly promised land.

Since the coming of Jesus Christ, we know that the promised land of the Old Testament is much more than the earthly land of Israel. We know that the promised land is created for more than just flesh and blood Jewish people, and the land of Israel is far from being the Kingdom of God. The promised land is for whoever believes in Jesus the Christ and is an eternal place in the new heaven and earth. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Because of their rejection of Jesus Christ, the only land the Jewish people inherit as their possession is the State of Israel. All of the promised blessings made to Israel have been transferred to the followers of Jesus Christ. In fact, there are no blessings for the Jewish people mentioned in the New Testament. God gathers the Jewish people to the State of Israel as the place where He unleashes the fury of His judgment on them, “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you.” Ezekiel 22:19-20

The land of Israel will not deprive her nation anymore. “Thus says the Lord God: “Because they say to you, ‘You devour men and bereave your nation of children,’ therefore you shall devour men no more, nor bereave your nation anymore,” says the Lord God.” Ezekiel 36:13-14

The land of Israel has a reputation of devouring the Jewish people and bereaving the Jewish nation of children. For example, this happened in 70AD when the land of Jerusalem devoured the Jewish people by the hand of the Roman general, Titus, and for 1878 years, until 1948, the Jewish children had no nation to call their own. God said that the land of Israel would not be left desolate as it was before and that the Jewish people would not be bereaved as a nation anymore. In 1948, His word was fulfilled when the Jewish people repopulated the land and was established as a Jewish nation.

We can assess that the Lord has given us an eternal land called the New Jerusalem, which is the nation created for His children born through Jesus Christ. The diagnosis is that the land of this present world system devours people and bereaves its global culture of an eternal land. They live for an earthly utopia through the atheistic entity giving them what to think, feel, do, and say. We plan to turn our eyes on the eternal promised land and turn away from the promise of heaven on earth. We implement that plan by investing our treasures in Heaven and not investing in the treasures of this world. Where our treasure is there is where our heart is. We know the plan is successful when the things of this world grow dim in the light of god’s glory and grace.

The land of Israel will not be taunted, nor made a reproach, nor cause her nation to stumble anymore. “Nor will I let you hear the taunts of the nations anymore, nor bear the reproach of the peoples anymore, nor shall you cause your nation to stumble anymore,” says the Lord God.’” Ezekiel 36:15

When the land of Israel (Jerusalem and the first temple) was desolated by king Nebuchadnezzar, the enemies of Israel made the land a reproach and taunted her. For example, mocking the land of Israel for being called the promised land. The land of Israel caused the Jewish people to stumble in that they were evicted from the land that was their inheritance given by God. The land of Israel was also mocked by her enemies between 70AD and 1948 when it was desolated of Jewish rule after Titus destroyed Jerusalem and demolished the second temple.

When the Jewish people were gathered to the State of Israel in 1948, this shut the mouth of those who were mocking them for not possessing, occupying, and ruling the land of Israel as their nation. In that light, those types of taunts and reproach were quieted, and the land of Israel was established as a nation. The land of Israel would provide a home to the Jewish people.

We can assess that our Lord Jesus has prepared a home for us in Heaven, a place free of sin, and where we are given a pure eternal body. The New Jerusalem is a nation where we will never stumble again. The diagnosis is that today’s atheistic culture habitually taunts and makes a reproach of the followers of Jesus Christ and do all they can to make us stumble. We plan to hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ, with our eyes focused on our eternal home, as we endure the hardships that come against us. We implement that plan by carrying our cross daily as Jesus Christ carried His Cross when He atoned for our sin. We know the plan is successful when in our heart we realize that the sufferings of this world don’t compare to the glory that awaits us in Heaven.

Israel has profaned the name of God and He will hallow His name in the land of Israel.
The Jewish people defile the land of Israel. “Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own ways and deeds; to Me their way was like the uncleanness of a woman in her customary impurity. ” Ezekiel 36:16-17

When Jesus Christ was walking on this earth, the Jewish people were still in their own land, referring to living in Jerusalem, having the Temple as their own, and being gathered together as a Jewish culture. However, the Jewish leaders were very corrupt, and they corrupted those they ruled over. They followed their own ways and customs instead of following the will of God for them. They rejected Jesus Christ and conspired to murder Him as they were behind the plot to have Him crucified on the Cross. In the eyes of God, the ways of the Jewish people are filled with spiritual impurity, corruption, and wickedness. In Matthew 23, Jesus Christ describes the corruption and wickedness of the Jewish leaders.

God’s fury is poured out on Israel and they are scattered for their bloodshed and serving a false god. “Therefore I poured out My fury on them for the blood they had shed on the land, and for their idols with which they had defiled it. So I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the countries; I judged them according to their ways and their deeds.” Ezekiel 36:18-19

When Jesus Christ walked on this earth, many of the Jewish people had a reputation of being rebels that shed a lot of blood around the Roman Empire. A common belief is that one of the Apostles of Jesus, before following Jesus, was a revolutionary looking for a Messiah to violently overthrow Rome. His name was Simon the Zealot, Matthew 10:4 Zealots was the name of a “terrorist” group bent on violently overthrowing Rome.

Also, a Roman commander confused the Apostle Paul with the leader of four thousand assassins. “Then as Paul was about to be led into the barracks, he said to the commander, “May I speak to you?” He replied, “Can you speak Greek? Are you not the Egyptian who some time ago stirred up a rebellion and led the four thousand assassins out into the wilderness?” Acts 21:37-38 When the Jewish people had the choice of having Jesus Christ released from crucifixion or Barabbas, they chose Barabbas. Barabbas was known as a rebel, murderer, and thief. The Roman governor spoke, “But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Do you therefore want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” Then they all cried again, saying, “Not this Man, but Barabbas!” John 18:39-40

On top of being marred with a reputation of being rebels and shedders of blood, the land of the Jewish people was filled with idols. An idol is anything that people choose above God to direct the path of their life. The Jewish people were far from the will of God, rejected the love, compassion, and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, and oppressed the presence of the Holy Spirit. In a sense, the Jewish culture was their idol, their false god, as they put the Jewish nation above the will of God for them to receive Jesus Christ.

In 70A.D., about 37 years after the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord Jesus, God scattered the Jewish people, and they were dispersed among the nations. 70A.D. is when Titus, the Roman general, desolated Jerusalem and demolished the temple. For 1878 years, from 70.D. to 1948, the Jewish people were scattered and dispersed across the globe. For 1878 years, the land of Israel was barren of Jewish occupation/government as a nation. This was God’s judgment against them for rejecting and crucifying Jesus Christ. It wasn’t until 1948 that God brought the Jewish people to the land known today as the State of Israel.

We can assess that the will of God is for us to be people of peace and to love Him with all of our heart, soul, and mind. The diagnosis is that we live in a land that is filled with conflict, division, violence, bloodshed and with hatred for the Living God. This world system lives by the false god that gives them what to think, feel, do, and say. We plan to live for Jesus Christ and to set ourselves apart from the ways of this world by living in the presence of the Holy Spirit. We implement this plan by walking as one of the faithful few on the narrow path of life and not walking on the broad path of mainstream society that leads to destruction. We know this plan is successful when we are transformed by the renewing of our mind and not conformed to the culture of this world.

Jewish people profane the name of God. “When they came to the nations, wherever they went, they profaned My holy name—when they said of them, ‘These are the people of the Lord, and yet they have gone out of His land.’ But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations wherever they went. Ezekiel 36:20-21

Between 70AD and 1948, the Jewish people were scattered throughout countries across the globe. Wherever they went, the nations profaned the Holy name of God by mocking the Jewish people for leaving the promised land of Israel. They were mocked for being known as the people of God but fleeing from the land He had given to them. God was concerned for His Holy name, concerned for how He was perceived by the world as He brought judgment to the Jewish people. In the next verse, we see how God restores His Holy name while still bringing judgment to the Jewish people. The Jewish people also profane the name of God by rejecting Jesus Christ and not living in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Today, the people and nations of this world profane the name of God because of the actions of the Jewish people. They are being mocked as the people of God who perpetuates war, violence, and division in the Middle East. The nations mock the people of God as the Jewish promised land is whittled away bit-by-bit through the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and soon to be the “Two State Solution”. God’s name is being profaned through the Jewish people. While what is happening to Israel is by the judgment of God, He has concern for His Holy name in the eyes of this world. The reality of the Living God should in no way be measured by the calamity happening to the Jewish people. In the next verse, we see how God exalts His Holy name in this world while continuing to bring judgment against Israel.

We can assess that the people of God are we who live for Jesus Christ in the presence of the Holy Spirit. The diagnosis is that today’s culture is on course to profane the name of God in every nation by mocking the great falling away from Jesus Christ. We plan to uphold the testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ in the face of mockery, affliction, and conflict of every type. We implement that plan by holding on to what we have in Him, knowing that Jesus Christ is returning to bring us the reward of eternal life. We know the plan is successful because who we are in Jesus Christ is revealed by our faithfulness to Him in the midst of fiery trials. The fire tries every person’s work of what sort it is.

Jewish people are gathered to Israel for the sake of God’s Holy name, not for their sake. “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went.” Ezekiel 36:22

As seen in the previous verse, the name of God was profaned because the Jewish people were mocked by the nations for leaving the promised land of Israel [between 70AD and 1948]. What happened to the Jewish people was by the judgment of God for their rebellion against Him. This concerned God that His Holy name was being profaned while bringing His judgment to Israel. In that light, God decided to return the Jewish people to the land of Israel in 1948, known as the State of Israel. This would show to the world that the land of Israel is indeed His, to do with whatever He pleases, no one takes it from Him nor returns it to Him.

At the same time as reclaiming the land of Israel for the sake of His Holy name, God would continue to unleash the fury of His judgment upon Israel. That is what God means when He said, “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went.” The following verse explains this in more detail, “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you.” Ezekiel 22:19-20 This is also said in Ezekiel 20:34.

If the Jewish people would have received Jesus Christ 2000 years ago, they would never have been scattered and dispersed as a Jewish nation, never would have been regathered to the land of Israel in 1948 and the Jewish State of Israel would never have existed. Instead of being Jewish they would be Christian, and as Christians we do not have a nation on this earth to call our home. Our nation is the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth.

As our Lord Jesus says to the Jewish people, O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!

God sanctifies His name in the land of Israel in the eyes of all the nations. “And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.” Ezekiel 36:23

Sanctification is seen in two ways of how God interacts with the State of Israel. Firstly, He sanctifies His Holy Name by demonstrating to the world that He is the Living God, exercising His will over the land of Israel. He has the power to both desolate and repopulate the land according to His desire. Secondly, sanctification is manifested through His Holiness confronting the disbelief of the Jewish people and their rejection of Jesus Christ, who imparts the Holy Spirit for us to live by. It is evident to the world that, by God’s will, the Jewish people were reassembled in Israel in 1948, and it is apparent that God’s judgment upon Israel will persist. The nations are without excuse in recognizing that God is indeed Lord.

We can assess that God is Holy and sanctifies His name through the external judgment that befalls this world. He also sanctifies us internally through the Holy Spirit, which comes by the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ. The diagnosis is that sin is inherent in human nature, preventing anyone from standing before God’s Holiness. The hope is to accept Jesus Christ, who can stand before God and plead for our forgiveness, allowing God to bestow grace and mercy upon us as sinners. This is done by faith in Jesus Christ, whom God sent to atone for our sin and to declare us righteous. In God’s view, when He sees His Son in us, we are deemed righteous. The assurance of this plan’s success comes from experiencing justification “freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,” as stated in Romans 3:24.

God gathers the Jewish people to the land of Israel. “For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.” Ezekiel 36:24

The promises of God to Israel, outlined in the preceding verses 1-23, are summed up in this verse: He will bring the Jewish people from among the nations, gather them from all countries, and bring them to their own land. This promise was realized in 1948 with the establishment of the Jewish state of Israel, where Jewish people from around the world congregated.

The Jewish people have their promised land on this earth, but unless they reconcile with God through Jesus Christ, their destiny is eternal hell, not the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. We who believe Jesus Christ will be gathered from all around to sit with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the eternal promised land. However, the “sons of the kingdom” (the Jewish people) will be cast out into outer darkness, “And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:11-12

Sanctification, Holiness, and eternal life in the New Jerusalem.
Sprinkled with clean water and cleansed from spiritual filthiness and false god. “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.” Ezekiel 36:25

When God sprinkles His cleansing water on our soul and spirit, that cleansing comes by our belief in Jesus Christ who atones for our sin. We are freed from the filthiness of the idols we once made more important than God, Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The Jewish people can only be sprinkled by the cleansing water of God by receiving Jesus as their Christ and Lord, and by the Holy Spirit being a part of who they are. Unfortunately, they have rejected Christ Jesus and are not cleansed from the idol of the Jewish culture which they have made more important than Jesus.

Today, there are no blessings for the Jewish people mentioned in the New Testament. All the blessings spoken for the Jewish people in the Old Testament have been transferred to all of us who live for God through Jesus Christ, as quoted, “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-13

We can assess that God sprinkles us with clean water as we receive Jesus Christ for the remission of sin who enables us to live in the presence of the Holy Spirit. The diagnosis is that there is no cleansing without Jesus Christ and the filthiness of this world’s false god makes its home within people. That false god is the atheistic entity that replaces the conscience and spirit to give people what to feel, do, think, and say. This entity gives life to the image of the beast to speak and live through people, and by what they are given to say and do are groomed to the mark of the beast.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we plan to live by the cleansing that God gives to us through His Spirit and to turn our heart away from the false god of this world. We implement that plan by believing in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing with our mouth that He is Lord. We know that plan is successful when we proclaim that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.

The Holy Spirit in us is the guarantee of our inheritance of the New Jerusalem, Who also sprinkles our spirit and soul with clean water to make us clean from spiritual filthiness. We trust in Jesus Christ, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance…” Ephesians 1:13-14

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,” 1 Corinthians 15:3 “And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” 1 John 2:2

New spirit given with stony heart removed and heart of flesh given. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26

This promise was made to the Jewish people and was fulfilled by God when He sent His Son Jesus Christ to live within the heart of human beings by the presence of the Holy Spirit. When the Jewish people rejected Jesus as their Christ and Lord, they rejected the new spirit and the heart of flesh. Now, this promise is given to whoever believes in Jesus Christ, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

The “heart of flesh” that is given to us refers to our humanness. Today, the heart of flesh is not wanted by today’s culture but instead is hardened like a heart of stone. The atheistic entity that gives people what to feel, say, think, and do replaces the human heart of flesh. The conscience and spirit of human beings are hardened to enliven the image of the beast to speak and live through them. Today’s culture is not living in the humanness of the spirit and heart of flesh, but instead are hardened and groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do.

God wants our humanness, our spirit, our heart so that we can receive the Holy Spirit by living for Jesus Christ who atones for our sin. He wants to give us a heart of flesh and a new spirit. As our example, Jesus Christ was born in the form of human flesh to retain a heart of flesh as a human being, but He was also born of the Spirit of God. He was truly and properly a fleshly human being and truly and properly God. God wants us to be born again by water and the Spirit, meaning our fleshly birth and our birth in the Holy Spirit. “Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ ” John 3:5-7

When the stony heart is removed and we make room for the Spirit in this body of flesh, then the fruit of the Holy Spirit will blossom in our spirit, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:16-26

Infilling with the Spirit of God to enable walking with Him and inheriting eternal life. “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God..” Ezekiel 36:27-28

Having the Spirit of God within us is our ticket to live in the promised land of the New Jerusalem, as quoted, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance…” Ephesians 1:13-14 We who trust in Jesus Christ, and live by the word of God through the Holy Spirit, are guaranteed our inheritance of eternal life.

The promises once intended for the Jewish people have been transferred to those who live for God through Jesus Christ. There are no promises of blessings for the Jewish people in the New Testament, not until they acknowledge Jesus as their Christ and Lord, “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ” Matthew 23:38-39

The Apostle Paul makes it clear that Jesus Christ is He who makes it possible to walk in the statutes of God and to keep His judgments so that they are written on our heart and mind, “But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,…For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.” Hebrews 10:12-18

Living on the eternal grain and Tree of Life. “I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations.” Ezekiel 36:29-30

To be delivered from all of our uncleanness refers to receiving Jesus Christ as the one who enters into the presence of God to make intercession for the forgiveness of our sin. For God to call for the grain and multiply it refers to the free will offering we give to Him, as we feed on the grain of His word that multiplies into the Bread of Life within us, and in Jesus Christ we will have no lack of nourishment for the soul. To multiply the fruit of our trees and to increase our fields refers to the fruit of the Holy Spirit blossoming in our spirit, Galatians 5:16-26. Because of the sacrifice our Lord Jesus made on the Cross to remit sin, there will never again be a famine because whoever believes in Him will receive food for the soul.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” Philippians 1:3-6

In the eternal New Jerusalem, we will have an eternal supply of the Water of Life, fruit from the Tree of Life, and leaves of healing, “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.” Revelation 22:1-4

Repentance, spiritual fruitfulness, and the eternal New Jerusalem through Jesus Christ.
Remorse and repentance of sin. “Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations.” Ezekiel 36:31

The second that Jesus Christ breathed His last breath on the Cross, the atonement for sin was fulfilled, and our heart, soul, conscience was opened to receive the Holy Spirit. “…when [the Holy Spirit] has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment…” John 16:8 The Holy Spirit will cause certain events to come to our mind that we have done through our life that pains our heart in regret for the bad that was done. We enter into times of loathing ourselves when we are alone and no one else in sight. We feel remorse for the detestable things we have done that we know were unfair to others, to self, and obviously not Godly, not in the Spirit of Christ, and were oppressive to the Holy Spirit. “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.” 2 Corinthians 7:10

The atheistic entity that has the power to give people their thoughts and feelings to influence words and behaviors makes war against the Holy Spirit. This entity opposes the feelings of remorse and regret that leads to the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ, and it oppresses the Holy Spirit that convicts of sin. This entity continuously imposes thoughts and feelings upon us to make us believe that we are not forgiven and to keep us in a state of constant remorse. Its brand of “forgiveness” is to stop the persecution of thoughts and feelings when it is able to enliven the image of the beast to live and speak through us. That is why masses of people around the world are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do.

Satan opposes us and persecutes our thoughts and feelings. Even so, regardless of the painful thoughts that recur in our head or the remorseful emotions that we feel, God has forgiven us through Jesus Christ, and we are on our way to Heaven. “Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Zachariah 3:2 Whoever believes in Jesus Christ will be saved, only believe, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Forgiveness bis y the grace and mercy of God not by our own goodness. “Not for your sake do I do this,” says the Lord God, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel!” Ezekiel 36:32

All of us are sinners who fall short of the glory of God, and all glory and power belong to Him, “For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” Romans 3:23 This includes every Jewish person and every single person in every city around the world. There is no difference between the Jewish and the non-Jewish. We all must be ashamed and disgraced by the way we live our life without God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. “But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;” Romans 3:21-22

God sent Jesus Christ to everyone in this world, not because we were darling people with adorable attitudes, in fact, we are just the opposite. We are plagued with sin, people who enjoy carnal desires and the ways of this world more than caring about God as our Creator. There is nothing we can do to deserve His mercy and grace who forgives our sin simply because we believe in Jesus Christ who atoned for our sin. His redemption has not come to us for our sake because we are good people who deserve His forgiveness, but for the sake of His Holy name. In His Holiness, in His love, He chooses to redeem us to Him through Jesus Christ and to infill us with the Holy Spirit. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:4-10

We can assess that God sent His Son Jesus Christ to remit our sin while we were still sinners to reconcile us to God and give us eternal life. The diagnosis is that the Salvation of God is not for our sake as good people because we have all started out in sin with rejection of Him. By God’s Holiness alone, we are lost to our own destruction because His Holiness has no part with sin, and only through the righteousness of Jesus Christ can anyone be saved. For the sake of God’s Holy name, He sent His Son Jesus to atone for our sin and make us acceptable to Him. We plan to come with repentance to the Cross of Jesus Christ to reconcile to God by the forgiveness of sin. We implement that plan by believing in the heart that Jesus Christ lives and confessing that He is Lord. We know that plan is successful when we declare that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.

Forgiveness of sin comes with the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. “‘Thus says the Lord God: “On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will also enable you to dwell in the cities, and the ruins shall be rebuilt. The desolate land shall be tilled instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass by. So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’” Ezekiel 36:33-35

“On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities…” refers to the day that we, the Jewish people, and anyone else reconciles to God through Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin. After we acknowledge our belief in Him, then God will “…enable (us) to dwell in the cities, and the ruins shall be rebuilt.” Jesus Christ has eternal life prepared for us in the new heaven and earth after this present heaven and earth are destroyed and turned into ruins. We will live in the eternal city of the New Jerusalem, the eternal Garden of Eden. While on this earth, the sin-plagued ruins of our spirit and soul are rebuilt through the Holy Spirit. We live in the city of the Kingdom of God that is within us, “Now when (Jesus) was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20-21

I don’t know what Kingdom of God the Jewish people are waiting for, but the State of Israel is not anything like the Garden of Eden, nor is any place on this earth. The Kingdom of God exist within us through the Holy Spirit as we believe in Jesus Christ, then in the life beyond the grave, we enter the eternal New Jerusalem. We have life in the eternal Garden of Eden. The Holy Spirit in us is our guarantee of inheriting eternal life beyond the grave Ephesians 1:13-14.

The soul once desolate of Jesus Christ will be tilled, planted with the seed of the Holy Spirit, and will blossom with the fruit of the Spirit when we believe in Him. We will be a testimony to all who see the transformation of our spirit, words, behaviors, and feelings as we sing out, Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see.

Nations of this world will not inherit the eternal Garden of Eden without Jesus Christ. “Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken it, and I will do it.” Ezekiel 36:36

The nations of this world have seen the regathering of the Jewish people to Israel in 1948 and how the land of Israel has been rebuilt under Jewish occupation and rule. The Lord spoke it and it happened. However, the Jewish people do not have the promise of the eternal land of the New Jerusalem unless they reconcile to God through Jesus Christ. With that, the nations of this world will be left behind in the ruins of this present heaven and earth and will not see the new heaven and earth. They will not see the New Jerusalem.

The only people who will not be left behind include everyone who comes to God through Jesus Christ and has the oil of the Holy Spirit burning in them. This is explained in the parable about keeping oil in our lamp in Matthew 25:1-13. These are those who will have a home in the newly created New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. The Holy Spirit in us is our guarantee of our inheritance of eternal life, Ephesians 1:13-14. The Lord has spoken it, and He will do it.

Only those who receive Jesus Christ will be with Him in the Day of the Lord. This is a day of catastrophe for everyone who rejects Jesus, but a day of rejoicing and a new beginning in eternity for we who believe Him. On that day, Jesus Christ returns and those who have died after living for Him will rise from their graves and be taken to be with Him. At the same time, the Christians who are still alive when He comes will rise into the air, with those who have risen from the grave, and we will all meet together with Jesus Christ. During this time, this present world government and its global culture will be destroyed. All of this happens at the end of all things.

“For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

As the verse above clearly says, there is no rapture that enables the followers of Jesus Christ to escape the tribulation in this world. Being caught up in the air happens when Jesus Christ returns. For those who insist that the rapture comes before the tribulation in this world, all they would have to do is check all the Christian graves to see if they are empty yet. For them, empty Christian graves would be a sign that they are the next to be called up. The dead in Christ rise before anyone is caught up into the air. However, the rising from the grave, being caught up into the air, and the return of Jesus Christ is all one simultaneous event at the end of all things, after the global tribulation. The return of Jesus Christ is the Seventh Trumpet, after the events of the first six trumpets bring tribulation to this world, Revelation 8 and 9.

Those who are left behind on this present earth, when the new heaven and earth is created, include the world government ,its global culture, and all unbelievers. They are those who serve the entity that gives them what to think, feel, do, and say instead of serving God through Jesus Christ. This entity enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city across the globe. By what they are given to say and do they are groomed to the mark of the beast.

“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:9-11

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?  Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” 2 Peter 3:10-13

Jewish people are allowed to come to God through Jesus Christ to inherit the New Jerusalem.‘Thus says the Lord God: “I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this for them: I will increase their men like a flock.” Ezekiel 36:37

God promised Israel that their people would increase, and this promise was made to Abraham. The promise God made to Abraham was that his seed would multiply and become as uncountable as the stars in the sky. This promise is made in Genesis 22:15-18. However, the seed of Abraham are not the Jewish people but are those who have faith in Jesus Christ, “Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham…Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.” Galatians 3:7, 16

God also says that He will allow the Jewish people to inquire of Him to multiply their seed as His children, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 Whoever believes in Jesus the Christ will be saved, “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),” Ephesians 2:4-5

We can assess that God increases His family by allowing anyone to ask to be His child through Jesus Christ. The diagnosis is that the Jewish people and all unbelievers will not be included in the increase of the family of God. We plan to live for God through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit so that we will be numbered within the family of God. We implement that plan by believing God sent His Son Jesus Christ to atone for our sin and to give us eternal life in the New Jerusalem. We know that plan is successful through faith because God says whoever believes in Him are His children.

This present world is destroyed. “Like a flock offered as holy sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem on its feast days, so shall the ruined cities be filled with flocks of men. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 36:38

God is comparing the flock of men in the ruined cities to the flock of slaughtered sheep on the feast days in Jerusalem. The sheep were holy sacrifices, and on the feast days the number of sheep sacrificed were massive in number. In other words, the slaughter in Jerusalem will be massive on this earth as the fury of God’s judgment is unleashed on them. This is described in the post about the “Day After the Battle of Armageddon from Ezekiel chapter 39. God’s fury is unleashed on Israel by the hand of the world government and its global culture. During the Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 16:12-17), just about the last major event before the Day of the Lord, the land of Israel will suffer utter destruction and Jerusalem will be filled with the slaughter of the flock.

The world government and its global culture by no means has a free pass in this world. The nations are assembled by God to unleash the fury of His judgment on them too, “Therefore wait for Me,” says the Lord,
“Until the day I rise up for plunder; My determination is to gather the nations to My assembly of kingdoms, to pour on them My indignation, all My fierce anger; All the earth shall be devoured with the fire of My jealousy.” Zephaniah 3:8

What happens to Israel will happen to the world government and its global culture. The Battle of Armageddon involves the nations of the world and arises after the world government and its global culture are rendered powerless by the destruction of the power center of the beast in Fifth Plague of Revelation 16:9-10. During that time, there will be no more power over physiology and the ability to govern through thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors will be gone. This entity will be powerless to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through people. The ability to hold people to a specific station in life through the mark of the beast will be gone. Global warming, of Revelation 16:8-9, is instrumental in destroying the power center of the beast. The more powerful the United Nations become as the one world government the hotter and more intense the heat of global warming becomes.

The flock of the world government, its global culture, will be like the flock of slaughtered sheep on a holy day of sacrifice, a feast day. The feast will be for the birds of the air, “Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.” Revelation 19:17-18

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
