I'm a 1959 Baby Boomer which has allowed me to see drastic changes in the Christian landscape. I grew up going to Church every Sunday, in those days the Bible still had strong roots in America. In my 20's, I participated with the Church in public meetings. There were about eight of us who would go out to a street corner or public park to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There were horns, a bass drum, singing, and a short Salvation message from the Bible. Suddenly, that all changed. The city passed ordinances to prohibit that type of public "solicitation." Today, it seems almost illegal to mention the Gospel to the younger generation. I retired at the age of 62. As a person living for the testimony of Jesus Christ, I always felt like a salmon swimming against the current. Work was always a struggle between trying to be a decent individual while dealing with "progressive" and "left wing" changes at the workplace. It's clear that there is a force in the world that is quietly eliminating the Gospel of Jesus Christ while making Christians look like enemies of humanity. At the same time, there is a force in the world that has power over physiology and is able to form thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It is definitely against Jesus Christ. John 3:16 is something I always want to cling to, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." I know the suffering of spiritual assault that hinders a constructive lifestyle & when frustration & anger seems to be the sole option - I know we can survive through the Cross of Christ. We have a home in the Kingdom of Heaven waiting for us.

Cats, Cats, Everywhere and More Cats

Within my heart, there is compassion for animals. I've grown up with pets of all types and with farm animals. There is nothing more I would like than to own a dog. I like Collies, Beagles, and Dobermans but for one reason or another pet ownership is not something that I can manage. Feral cats … Continue reading Cats, Cats, Everywhere and More Cats →

Not Funded by Make-A-Wish

Romans 9:16-18 The more I depend on human desire, the more hardened I become to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In fact, the internal government of the mark of the beast thrives on the desires that people have. I am constantly shown how all of my heart's desires can come true if only I live … Continue reading Not Funded by Make-A-Wish →

The Election Plan

Romans 9:10-15 As much as what local, state, national, and global leaders like to think that they can reverse the ills of the world, they can't. The problems that gain national and international attention are the judgments mentioned in the Bible. The sun's intense heat, droughts, increase frequency & severity of earthquakes, hunger, unprecedented storm … Continue reading The Election Plan →

Majority Rules, Christians are Few but Faithful

Romans 9:6-9 Relying on numbers is a common thing to do. Numbers are what statistics are made of and determine the decisions that leaders make. They decide the majority and the minority. The number of people sitting in church pews on Sunday doesn't indicate how many actually hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ. Church … Continue reading Majority Rules, Christians are Few but Faithful →

The Sad Truth about the Church

Romans 9:1-5 There is disappointment for me and anyone else who would love to be in a Church that really believes in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The fellowship in the Spirit of Christ is not there and neither is the message of the Cross. I know that if I ditched the idea of right … Continue reading The Sad Truth about the Church →

Inseparable Love

Romans 8:31-39 There is nobody nor nothing that can separate God's love from me that is found in Christ Jesus. When the final word is said, I'll be with Jesus in the New Jerusalem. People try to separate God from me every day though! They are atrocious at berating, slandering, creating false impressions, using pictures … Continue reading Inseparable Love →
