Godly Heritage Holds Us Together

Ephesians 4:11-16

  • Everything is Given to Build Up the Body of Christ.
  • Body of Christ Supports One Another With the Gospel.

Everything is Given to Build Up the Body of Christ.

“So, Christ Himself gave the Apostles, the Prophets, the Evangelists, the Pastors and Teachers,
to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God
and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:11-13

Everything that we need to learn and grow in the way of Christ has already been given to us. The Apostles established the Church and are known to be those who knew Jesus Christ personally. They understood the word of the Prophets as pertaining to the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus. The Prophets are still relevant for us today referring to Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah, the Revelation etc. They forewarn us about the hostility towards God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and believers through the one world constitution that governs through the mark of the beast. There are the Evangelists such as Billy Grahm and all those who came before him that have spread the Gospel of Christ around the world. There are the Pastors who have a group of believers whom they shepherd. And there are the Teachers who teach from the Word of God to bring understanding of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

The purpose of the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers is to prepare believers for the work of spreading the Gospel to others. Their purpose is to build up the body of Christ to unite us all in the same faith and knowledge of the Son of God. Today, even non-believers know the basic principles that unites those who follow Christ, but they refuse to believe. All believers are united in the fact that Jesus Christ is the way to God through the forgiveness of sin, that He died and raised from the dead after three days, and because He lives, we will live eternally with Him. Maturity is to have the fullness of Christ. The one purpose of Christ is to reconcile people to God through the forgiveness of sin. As a follower of Christ, the single purpose is to hold to the Testimony of Jesus Christ.

The churches of today are no longer a place for the body of Christ to mature and grow. The churches have discarded the foundation established by the Apostles, they ignore the Prophets and totally gloss over the presence of the mark of the beast. There have been no large-scale Evangelists since Billy Grahm, the Pastors of the Church are not shepherding through the Salvation message of the Gospel, and Teachers are not teaching the Bible within the framework of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Individuals are brought to the maturity of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit during their own Bible reading. They recognize the Apostles as establishing the foundations for believers to follow. They comprehend the message of the Prophets relating to the end times of today. They do what they can to Evangelize, whether establishing blogs, wearing clothing sharing Christ, or to verbally proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord. They accept Jesus Christ as their Pastor and Teacher through the Holy Spirit.

Body of Christ Supports One Another With the Gospel.
What keeps us strong as followers of Christ are the roots of the Christian heritage. Those roots include the foundations of the Apostles, the word of the Prophets, the work of the Evangelists, the Pastors who shepherd, and Teachers who teach Gospel of Christ.

Today, the mark of the beast is regarded as the all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever-present entity that has replaced Godly heritage. Not only is it replacing the Godly foundations of the US Constitution, but it is also eliminating everything related to the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. It totally discards Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit as it sets itself up as God. New converts hardly stand a chance to grow in Jesus Christ. They have to contend with the thing that has power over physiology and is able to form thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. They have to be aware of the inner presence of the mark of the beast and to continue on in the Testimony of Jesus Christ.

The love found in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit is what enables us to grow into the Body of Christ. Today, the followers of Christ seem to be few and far between, as the Bible says that in these days there will be the faithful few. We will exist until the day of Jesus’s return. Yet, as scattered as what the family of God is, it is the love of Christ that bonds us together. Jesus Christ is the head of each one of us and He will return soon to bring us together in the fellowship within the New Jerusalem. Even in today’s Godless times, we have the testimony of Jesus Christ to cling to, we have the love of Christ holding every single part together. “From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves,
and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by
the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become
in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ.
From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
Ephesians 4:14-16

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
