Within my heart, there is compassion for animals. I’ve grown up with pets of all types and with farm animals. There is nothing more I would like than to own a dog. I like Collies, Beagles, and Dobermans but for one reason or another pet ownership is not something that I can manage.
Feral cats are everywhere around the apartments where I live. There have been so many that the apartment manager had to send everyone an advisory on how to respond to them. Mostly not to feed them and to avoid trying to make pets of them. There is no warmth, compassion, or kindness towards them. I see several in the broad daylight seeking for water during these times of severe heat and they even hide under cars for shade. More than that, they are heard throughout the night engaging in cat fights. They are wild animals clawing and fighting for survival. I see this as a clear sign that this is the onslaught of the great tribulation. The world will be, “a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.” Revelation 18:2
In the city where I live, the Humane Society is constantly putting out public notices of the need for people to adopt pets. Their kennels are overcrowded, and the Humane Society often talk about their need to expand their facilities. The streets of the city are overwhelmed with “strays.” Not just cats, but the same is true with dogs. the street dogs are often known to be aggressive which prompts a call to a Dog Warden to come and catch the dangerous animal to get it off the streets. I know that the same is happening in nearby and larger cities as well. Moving into the tribulation we see signs of what is said here, “They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.” Revelation 6:8
The inner presence that has power over the physiology of human flesh also has that same power over animals. It seems to be exchanging a Collie for a Rothweiler, a Beagle for a Chihuahua, and a Doberman for a Pitbull. The world is moving away from a pleasant world I once knew. At the same time, the mark of the beast has been deeply rooted in society on a global level. The inner presence of the mark signifies the entry into the great and severe global tribulation. It discards the need for Jesus Christ and tramples on the Holy Spirit. It sets itself up as God but demonizes the world. “She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit,” Revelation 18:2
Salvation happens when we come to God through Jesus Christ and welcome the Holy Spirit to be part of who we are. It’s not Salvation for this present world but is Salvation that gives us the inheritance of eternal life in the New Jerusalem. “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
“With a mighty voice he shouted:
“‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’
She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit,
a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.”
Revelation 18:2
“I looked, and there before me was a pale horse!
Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him.
They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague,
and by the wild beasts of the earth.”
Revelation 6:8
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
