The Lost Greetings

1 Thessalonians 1:1-3

It is a very rare occasion when I encounter a warm greeting of any kind. There is not a smile, nor a gentle hug, nor a warm word, and it’s been that way for years. The majority of people are very matter of fact and critical of the Spirit of Christ within human sentiments. Apparently, I’m not running across any Christians, which attests to the domination of the human robots within the community. The human robots are they who live by the mark of the beast. They consider the mark to be God, toss aside Jesus Christ, and ignore the Holy Spirit. It’s a life of sin with no warmth to share with those who refuse to live by the internal government.

The internal presence that forms thoughts, feelings, and behaviors do not send warm vibes to those who reject the mark of the beast. That explains why I don’t experience warmth from their human robots who live by the mark. The warmth of love has become cold. I still live for God’s love that comes through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit always keeps me hopeful that a friend will come along, someday. That friend will be Jesus Christ on His return.

Salutations in the scriptures mean a lot to me. Fellow believers who have a testimony for Jesus Christ want to greet each other warmly. It would be great to know of a church that is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ. They would be eager, even thirsting, to welcome into their fellowship a person who lives for God through Jesus Christ. I still remember gracious people who would wanted nothing more but for the Spriit of Christ to flourish in a person. That type of Christian fellowship was always filled with peace.

Sometime during the Christian fellowship there would be prayer, and everyone would thank God for each other and mention each one by name. Being a 1959 Baby Boomer I have fond memories of “cottage prayer meetings.” That is when we would hold Christian fellowship in a person’s home every week. Even during that time, we all knew that the Church as we knew it was coming to a close. We encouraged one another in the work of faith, the real labors of love for those in need of Christ, and the patience for continuing in the hope of the eternal home of the New Jerusalem.

“Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the Church of the Thessalonians which is
in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace,
from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks to God always for you all,
making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of
faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ,
in the sight of God and our Father.”
