“And in the morning the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, ‘What are you doing?’” Ezekiel12:8-9

Ezekiel was performing a skit, or an object lesson, to make the Jewish people aware that they were going to be carried into captivity for their rebellion against the will of God. They were rebellious and asked him in a tone of scrutiny, “What are you doing?” We can envision what the response of the Jewish people of today would have been if someone told them that their Old Testament scriptures warned them that moving to the State of Israel is the place where God unleashes His judgment on them, Ezekiel 22:19-20. They would have responded with scrutiny in their voice, “What are you saying?

The Israelis were not to seek to be a nation like other nations. They were to receive Jesus Christ as their Messiah and to live as Christians, with no nation on this earth, but living within every nation. Every time Jesus tried to bring the Jewish people to Him, their rebellious attitude was, “What are you doing?” They even accused Him of having a demon, “Then the Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?” John 8:48

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,” Ephesians 2:8

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
