It’s obvious to me that the majority of people do not want to hear about right and wrong, nor about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nor about human decency. They want to be “free.” That is why the internal government of the mark of the beast is dominant in society today. It discards the Gospel of Jesus Christ while making people feel joyful, clean, part of something huge, and empowered. As we see in the world today, that results in all sorts of outrageousness, horrors, hostility, disgraces, obscenities, and torment. I know several people who confess Christianity but are full of lies to cover up the extreme shame they feel from past deeds.
I told one person to forget what happened relating to something that was maliciously done against me. Before I said anything, I told him he didn’t have to respond in any way at all, I just wanted to “clear the air.” After I spoke, the person immediately blinked his eye from obvious embarrassment. He verbally denied it happened and accused me of being responsible. Those types of past sins result in death to Christian fellowship. I was bringing it up to wash it away so that he could have peace, but the overwhelming shame and guilt would not allow him to receive forgiveness. I daily choose Jesus Christ over the mark of the beast and that will lead to Holiness in the eyes of God through Jesus. The wage of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ.
“I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations.
Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness,
so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to Holiness.
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.
What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of?
Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and
have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to Holiness,
and the result is eternal life.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:19-23
