In this year 2022, Christianity is living in hospice care and the faith I hold in Jesus Christ is existing within the last days of this world. At the same time, the human robots, those who live by the mark of the beast, dominates every city around the world. They despise the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Even so, my faith is not weakening, only getting stronger to see God’s power in fulfilling Bible prophecy. God’s promises are true. In these last days, there are the faithful few who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ through various forms of affliction. I will be among many nations when I enter the New Jerusalem. I will receive a credit of righteousness because I believe in God who raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Jesus was delivered to death for my sin and was raised to life for my justification.
Paul had the task of explaining that the only thing keeping the Jewish people from extinction was faith. It wasn’t the law (Old Testament) that revived the Jewish population, it was Abraham’s faith in God. Abraham was near to death and Sarah’s womb was dead when God told them that their offspring would be as numerous as the stars. Abraham’s faith never weakened regarding that promise. He believed and knew that God has the power to do what He says He will do. That belief is counted as righteousness and is apart from the law. Anyone who believes in the God who raised Jesus Christ from the dead is counted as righteous, Jew or non-Jew.
“Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” The words “it was credited to him” were written not for Him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”
Romans 4:18-25
