One thing that I am really glad about, my short comings don’t do one itty bitty thing to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ untrue. The whole world could be serving the mark of the beast and all Bibles tossed into the hot and dry desert, and the Word of God would still be true. Their unbelief does nothing to make the Bible untrue. “Let God be true and every human being a liar.” I would even say that the troubles that the world is going through make the validity of the Bible very clear. But I’m definitely not going to encourage people to contribute to the chaos to validate God’s reality. Anyone who encourages people to rebel against the Spirit of Christ and God’s love deserves the wrath of God.
I feel much better to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ as part of my life because I know it’s true, although many do not. God wants us to be right with Him through Jesus Christ by the forgiveness of sins. He definitely doesn’t want us to continue to live without Jesus Christ as a show of how gracious and merciful He is. God’s judgment comes according to my relationship with His Son Jesus. When Jesus returns, I will be proved right in what I’ve said about God’s love through Jesus Christ. It will be a great feeling knowing that my answer was right, and the polls were wrong.
“What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness?
Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written:
“So that You may be proved right when You speak and prevail when You judge.”
But if our unrighteousness brings out God’s righteousness more clearly, what shall we say?
That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) Certainly not!
If that were so, how could God judge the world? Someone might argue, “If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases His glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?”
Why not say—as some slanderously claim that we say—“Let us do evil that good may result”?
Their condemnation is just!”
Romans 3:3-8
