“When I send against them the terrible arrows of famine which shall be for destruction, which I will send to destroy you, I will increase the famine upon you and cut off your supply of bread.” Ezekiel 5:16
The nations will see the famine and destruction of Jerusalem.
A spiritual sense of a famine is the shortage of the Bread of Life, Jesus Christ. The spiritual bread is the word of God, and the Jewish people are living in a severe famine. They live by the Torah, which is only the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The other 61 books are not even on their plate, and the entire Gospel of Christ is tossed aside.
Israel is facing famine of the Spirit of God by rejecting Jesus Christ who gives the Holy Spirit to those who come to Him for the remission of sin. This brings the destruction of the soul and spirit through spiritual corruption and wickedness. The judgment of God comes by removing the Holy Spirit, who comes through the Bread of Life, Jesus Christ. “If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:17 The Holy Spirit restrains lawlessness, “And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 Click here for a post on the “man of sin”.
In today’s world, we are not going to hear much through the news media that sympathizes or shows empathy towards the State of Israel. That means we will never really know the extent of Israel’s problems relating to food imports, the ability to guard their food supplies from sabotage, etc. With 18 wars since 1948 and up to this very day, there has to be difficulties in maintaining a stable food program. We do know that the Lord God is sending His arrows of famine, and I believe it will be as much physical as spiritual. The future of the State of Israel is dire.
“So I will send against you famine and wild beasts, and they will bereave you. Pestilence and blood shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword against you. I, the Lord, have spoken.’” Ezekiel 5:17
The nations will see the wild beasts, famine, disease, and violence come against Jerusalem.
Pestilences of all types come against the State of Israel and the world, meaning pandemics, food shortages, and violence. As revealed in the events of the Seven Trumpets in Revelation Chapter 8,9, and 11 and the Seven Final Plagues. On top of what happens to Israel, the global economy will totally collapse and there will be nothing left of this world’s system. That collapse is described in Revelation 18.
Animal attacks are a much bigger part of Bible prophecy than what people talk about. But animals will become hostile, aggressive, and cruel towards people, in Israel and around the globe. “So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.” Revelation 6:8
The viciousness of animals is mentioned here, “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.” Revelation 18:2 NIV These prophecies are consistent throughout the Holy Bible.
A growing trend of owning aggressive style pets is evident in today’s world. Do people even have pets like Collies, Poodles, Sheepdogs, Saint Bernards etc. anymore? Rottweilers, pit bulls, and other breeds of that kind are becoming more popular. People are choosing pets that could eat fluffy for breakfast. As people reject the presence of the Holy Spirit (who is given through Jesus Christ), they discard the sheep of the world and embrace the wolf.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
