The Harvest is Scorching

Matthew 9:35-38

All I have to do is listen to the local, national, and world news to see the multitudes of people who would benefit from hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Crime and violence are unstoppable, mass shootings non-stop, domestic violence constant, school bullying and violence is a plague, and the list goes on and on. The harvest is plentiful. Multitudes of people are being harassed and are helpless. They are people who have no one to shepherd them, shelter them, nor to guide them. Jesus Christ feels compassion for them. In this year 2022, the human robots who live for the mark of the beast, discard Jesus Christ and human sentimentality. The world is in need of people with the compassion of Christ, but those laborers are few. They are the faithful few in a hostile world. Money, committees, politics, and celebrity spokespeople, etc. are not solving the crisis. The harvest is scorching in the sun. I choose Jesus Christ.

“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:35-38
