- Queen Esther and Mordecai are rewarded by the narcissistic king.
- Queen Esther pleas with her husband and king to revoke the order to annihilate the Jewish people.
- The king’s order is not revokable, but a new order can be written to counter the terrorist attack.
- Queen Esther and Mordecai’s decree is sent to every city in the kingdom.
- The Jewish people are legally allowed to protect themselves from their legal annihilation.
- The Jewish people rejoice in being able to defend themselves from terrorist attack.
Queen Esther and Mordecai are rewarded by the narcissistic king. “On that day King Ahasuerus gave Queen Esther the house of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had told how he was related to her. So the king took off his signet ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai; and Esther appointed Mordecai over the house of Haman.” Esther 8:1-2
“On that day…” refers to the day Haman was hanged, in Esther 7, for his terroristic plot against the Jewish people. The king also wanted to get rid of Haman as the sole person who could expose his involvement in the plot. Esther 3 reveals the collaboration between Haman and king Ahasuerus. The king gave his wife, Esther, the house once occupied by Haman and gave Mordecai the position that Haman once held as the right-hand of power for the king. We can envision how Queen Esther and Mordecai felt to be given the “gifts” that put them in the shoes of Haman, who was killed by the narcissistic and grandiose king simply to avoid any implication of wrongdoing.
A narcissistic and grandiose person would see refusing their gift as a sign of rejection or betrayal, and they would seek revenge. In Esther 1, we see how the narcissistic king destroyed his ex-wife’s life because she said “No” to him in a way that humiliated him publicly. Then we read in Esther 7 how Haman was executed because he was the one person who could have implicated him in the terroristic plot against the Jewish people.
A narcissist’s gift is not a generous offer, but a trap. Anyone who accepts it would incur a debt that could only be settled by surrendering their autonomy to the narcissist. A narcissist is not going to surrender his life for the welfare of others. However, the gift of eternal life is 100% free through the death of our Lord Jesus Christ, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10
Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai were faithful to God and followed the Ten Commandments. Their hearts were not swayed by costly gifts, power, or influence. Their spirit and soul ached to the point of suffering to save the lives of the Jewish people and were filled with mourning for them. The suffering of the soul of Jesus Christ yearned to bring eternal Salvation of His people the Jews, but they rejected Him. He feels that same yearning for everyone and suffered the agonizing death on the Cross to atone for the sin of the whosoever. “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit…” 1 Peter 3:18
Esther and Mordecai have been glorified together in their role in saving the Jewish people from annihilation. Without their intervention, Jesus Christ would not have been born because He is Jewish. Just as Queen Esther made Mordecai the ruler of her house, the Lord Jesus Christ wants us to make Him the Lord of our life. Esther made Mordecai a joint heir of the house, and Jesus makes us joint heirs with Him in the New Jerusalem. “…and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:17
Queen Esther pleas with her husband and king to revoke the order to annihilate the Jewish people. “Now Esther spoke again to the king, fell down at his feet, and implored him with tears to counteract the evil of Haman the Agagite, and the scheme which he had devised against the Jews.” Esther 8:3
Although Haman was hanged on the gallows, the law he established to carry-out a terrorist attack against the Jewish people was still in effect. Knowing that her people would be brutally annihilated on the day specified in the law, Esther felt the suffering and torment within her soul. She fell at the feet of her husband and king and wept, pleading for the life of the Jewish people to be spared.
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ felt the torment and suffering within His soul for the Jewish people whom He loves, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!” Luke 13:34
Today, we see the continual effort to annihilate the independence of the State of Israel under the watch of the United Nations in the name of establishing the one world government. Since the recognition of Israel as a State in 1948, there has been 18 wars, including in that year. Click here for a list of those wars and scroll to near the bottom of the page.
Today, a war has been waged to annihilate the name of Jesus Christ, His Gospel, and all of Christianity from the face of the earth. The “him” in this verse is the beast associated with the image and mark of the beast, “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.” Revelation 13:7.
The global culture of the beast lives by the entity that gives them what to think, feel, do, and say as it enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through them. People everywhere feel empowered to exalt their will above the authority of God the creator. They feel no guilt, remorse, or shame and have determined to annihilate the need for Jesus Christ who brings forgiveness of sin. They see the Holy Spirit as someone to oppress, exploit, and murder. Lawlessness and anti-social behavior flourish globally with no empathy for human beings.
“And the king held out the golden scepter toward Esther. So Esther arose and stood before the king, and said, “If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight and the thing seems right to the king and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to revoke the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to annihilate the Jews who are in all the king’s provinces. For how can I endure to see the evil that will come to my people? Or how can I endure to see the destruction of my countrymen?” Esther 8:4-6
The self-serving narcissistic and grandiose king held out his scepter of life to Esther, his wife and Queen, to grant her life instead of death for trespassing onto his inner court. Likewise, the global government of the beast holds out its scepter of life for only those who bow before the anti-Christian entity giving people what to feel, think, say, and do. Those who dedicate their body as the home of the Holy Spirit are not extended favor by this world system but instead are given affliction and suffering. However, God holds out His scepter of life to anyone to provide access into His inner court to come into His presence through Jesus Christ, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16
Queen Esther entered the king’s presence to request that the laws be revoked that were established by Haman to annihilate the Jewish people. Her spirit and soul suffered knowing the date set to exterminate the Jewish people was drawing near. By the sufferings in the soul of our Lord Jesus Christ, He came to revoke the law of sin and death to give us life through the Spirit, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2 “…whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 8:3
As followers of Jesus Christ, we know the tribulation and destruction coming to Israel, this world’s government, and including the affliction of the faithful few Christians. Even so, our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ is returning. Global warming is already in the world, which is the Fourth Plague. The stronger the United Nations become as the one world government of the beast the stronger and more intense global warming becomes.
The king’s order is not revokable, but a new order can be written to counter the terrorist attack. “Then King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther and Mordecai the Jew, “Indeed, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and they have hanged him on the gallows because he tried to lay his hand on the Jews.” Esther 8:7
The king expressed his “love” and gratitude for his wife Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai by listing the actions he had taken for their sake. He assured them of his willingness to do anything for them. What the king did for them was to kill a man who plotted a terrorist attack against the Jewish people, which was also to silence the only witness to his conspiracy against the Jewish people. In addition, he granted them a luxurious house and a position of authority in his administration.
Esther and Mordecai followed God and the Ten Commandments faithfully, so they probably cringed about the king’s actions on their behalf. People suffering from narcissism and grandiosity do not have emotional or spiritual connections with others and do not feel empathy. In the king’s narcissistic mind, he was bestowing a tremendous favor on them by ordering someone’s death for their sake, granting them a luxurious house, and endowing them with authority within his administration.
The sufferings of the soul of Jesus Christ ached to bring life not to kill, yearned to give humility not an inflated ego, and longed to give spiritual riches not worldly. “For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” Luke 9:56 When it comes to the temptation for power and authority this is written, “And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” Luke 4:6-8 When it comes to materialism, “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Mark 8:36
“You yourselves write a decree concerning the Jews, as you please, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s signet ring; for whatever is written in the king’s name and sealed with the king’s signet ring no one can revoke.” Esther 8:8
The king informed Queen Esther and Mordecai that his laws were irrevocable. Since Haman’s decree to exterminate the Jewish people had the king’s seal, it could not be undone. To counteract the law that threatened to annihilate their people, the king suggests that Esther and Mordecai write their own law. This law would allow the Jewish people to arm themselves and defend against the impending terrorist attack. In essence, this would be a “stand-your-ground” law.
On October 7, 2023, the State of Israel suffered an attack from the terroristic group Hamas. The government of Israel was given the legal leeway to fight back to protect themselves. This is a mirror image of Haman’s terroristic actions against the Jewish people and how the Jewish people were legally allowed to defend themselves. Today, there is an implied law that the sovereignty of the State of Israel will not exist under the United Nations as progression is made towards the one world government. The law cannot be changed or reversed. The conflict in the Middle East persists, opposing the sovereignty of Israel. But Israel keeps fighting for its survival, surrounded on all sides by enemies.
Since the recognition of Israel as a State in 1948, there has been 18 wars, including in that year. Click here for a list of those wars and scroll to near the bottom of the page.
When Jesus Christ came to atone for sin, He enabled our spirit and soul to house the Holy Spirit. Through the Spirit, we fight the good fight of faith, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12 The fight is through the Spirit of God not physical might, “‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.” Zachariah 4:6 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
Queen Esther and Mordecai’s decree is sent to every city in the kingdom. “So the king’s scribes were called at that time, in the third month, which is the month of Sivan, on the twenty-third day; and it was written, according to all that Mordecai commanded, to the Jews, the satraps, the governors, and the princes of the provinces from India to Ethiopia, one hundred and twenty-seven provinces in all, to every province in its own script, to every people in their own language, and to the Jews in their own script and language. And he wrote in the name of King Ahasuerus, sealed it with the king’s signet ring, and sent letters by couriers on horseback, riding on royal horses bred from swift steeds.” Esther 8:9-10
Mordecai’s decree, which permitted the Jewish people to fight back, reached the same destinations as Haman’s decree that authorized their destruction. The verses above are a mirror image of the destination of Haman’s decree in Esther 3:12-15. Just as the Jewish people had the right to defend themselves against Haman’s plan to annihilate them, Israel had the legal right to fight back against Hamas’s terrorist attack. Even today, there are laws of the United Nations written against the State of Israel. At the same time, there are laws written in favor of Israel conducting a war on terrorism.
Even as I type this, (7:00 am EST January 26, 2024) the United Nations International Criminal Court is ruling on the sufficient evidence that the State of Israel has committed genocide in their war against the terrorists Hamas. They are saying Israel’s war on terrorism is devastating the civilian Palestinians in the Gaza strip. In this instance, the world court is ruling on emergency measures against Israel. The ICC has ruled that they will keep the case open of genocide against Israel, while at the same time allowing the war to continue. The State of Israel has extremely difficult days coming.
Day by day, the independence of the State of Israel is being eroded to force conformity to the United Nation’s goal of establishing itself as the one world government. As goes the State of Israel, so goes those who live for the Gospel of Christ. Christianity is considered a non-conformist to the global goals the same as the State of Israel. Genocide has been committed against the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the message of the Cross is no longer found in the churches. Government lawmakers no longer include the values of the Bible in their policies. The educational system no longer allows the teaching of the Bible in the classrooms. Christianity is not wanted in any sector of society.
At the same time of proceeding forward with a ruling against Israel, the Jewish people are commemorating International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The United Nations ICC ruling on whether Israel is committing genocide is polluting the importance of remembering the Holocaust. The horror of the Holocaust is being erased from existence in the global culture, which is intended by the world government of the beast.
Today, there is an unwritten law permitting the attack on God, on the need for Jesus Christ for the remission of sin, and on the Holy Spirit. “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:7-8
The global culture is living by the entity giving them what to think, feel, do, and say and they detest Christianity. This entity enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. By what they say and do they wage war on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are urged to fight the good fight of faith through the Spirit, not a physical battle, Ephesians 6:10-20. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
The map below shows the vast territory mentioned in the verses above, stretching from India to Ethiopia. Shushan is located in Iran of today where the Jewish people fought back against their attackers in Esther chapter nine. It was in Shushan (Iran) where the decree to annihilate the Jewish people was issued in Esther 3:15 and where the decree to allow the Jewish people to defend themselves was announced in Esther 8:14. In essence, the people in Iran (Shushan) were put on notice that the Jewish people would be allowed to defend themselves from a terrorist attack.
Today, a major threat against the State of Israel is in Iran. Iran was declared a State sponsor of terrorism in 1984, which would make them a legitimate target in the war on terrorism. That gives Israel the legal right to fight back against any threats or attacks coming from Iran. However, it’s obvious that the United Nations is steadily binding the hands and feet of Israel from conducting any type of defense against terrorism at all. Iran is known to be operating against Israel in several places around the Middle East region, such as the Gaza Strip, where Israel is now being taken to the International Criminal Court for genocide. Iran also operates in Syria, Iraq, through Hezbollah, Lebanon, etc.

The Jewish people are legally allowed to protect themselves from their legal annihilation. “By these letters the king permitted the Jews who were in every city to gather together and protect their lives—to destroy, kill, and annihilate all the forces of any people or province that would assault them, both little children and women, and to plunder their possessions…” Esther 8:11
The order Mordecai sent out to allow the Jewish people to defend themselves is a mirror image of the order Haman sent out to destroy the Jewish people in Esther 3:13 This is like the wheat and the tares harming each other instead of coexisting.
Since the coming of Jesus Christ, He teaches us to let the wheat and the tares grow together until His return, when He will separate the chaff from the wheat, Matthew 13:24-30. We could say that Mordecai’s decree symbolizes favoritism for the wheat, while Haman’s decree symbolizes favoritism for the chaff. Our Lord Jesus Christ says, “Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’” Matthew 13:30
A contrast exists between the global culture and us. The global culture lives for the anti-Christian entity that gives them their thoughts, feelings, words, and actions which enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them. We, on the other hand, aspire to conform to the image of Christ in our thinking, feeling, speaking, and doing. Our Lord Jesus Christ calls us to live in His peace, mercy, grace, and Salvation towards others, not to take any destructive action against them. We all live and grow together in this world. Jesus Christ, who lives in us by the Holy Spirit, came to save life, not to destroy it.
“…on one day in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar. A copy of the document was to be issued as a decree in every province and published for all people, so that the Jews would be ready on that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.” Esther 8:12-13
The decrees of Mordecai and Haman took effect on the same day. One to permit a terrorist attack on the Jewish people and the other to permit the Jewish people to resist the attack. The decrees are both designed to expire on the same day they are issued, resulting in a single day of conflict. That day is “the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar.”
This verse from Esther 3:13 can be compared to the verse above, “And the letters were sent by couriers into all the king’s provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate all the Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, and to plunder their possessions.” Esther 3:13
“The couriers who rode on royal horses went out, hastened and pressed on by the king’s command. And the decree was issued in Shushan the citadel.” Esther 8:14
The Shushan citadel, in the territory of Iran today, was a place of political power to where Haman issued his decree to launch a terrorist attack on the Jewish people. Now, Mordecai’s order was sent to Shushan citadel to put the terrorist forces on notice that the Jewish people will be allowed to defend themselves.
The Jewish people rejoice in being able to defend themselves from terroristic attack. “So Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, with a great crown of gold and a garment of fine linen and purple; and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.” Esther 8:15
In Shushan, the city that is inside what is now Iran, there was an order for the destruction of all the Jewish people everywhere. The Jewish people felt hopeless as they waited for the day of their doom. They were greatly encouraged to see Mordecai, one of their own, wearing the royal clothes that the king had given him. It would mean that there was hope for their salvation.
Mordecai represents to us Jesus Christ who is dressed in the Holy apparel of God His Father. In the suffering of His soul is an ardent yearning for the Salvation of the Jewish people. “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Matthew 23:37-39
We are followers of Jesus Christ, and He is the Son of God who came from His Father’s presence to offer hope and Salvation to humanity. In these hard times, in the city of “Shushan”, where Christianity faces extinction Revelation 12, we rejoice and are glad because our hope is in Jesus Christ. “…looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” Titus 2:13-14
“Shushan” is a city representing great distress for God’s children, including both the nation of Israel and those who confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The global government of the beast is progressing forward to eliminate the sovereignty of the State of Israel. The global culture of the beast is progressing forward in eliminating the presence of Christianity in the world. The global government and its culture cause traits of psychopathy to flourish in every city against God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They live by the entity supplanting the human conscience by giving people what to think, feel, do, and say.
The entity giving people what to think and feel enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. The global culture feels empowered to exalt their will over the will of God and the followers of Jesus Christ. They feel no guilt, remorse, or shame in annihilating the idea of the need for Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin. To them, the Holy Spirit is someone to oppress, exploit, manipulate, and kill. In the “Shushan” of this world, anti-social behaviors and lawlessness abound with no empathy for human beings. “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18
“The Jews had light and gladness, joy and honor. And in every province and city, wherever the king’s command and decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a holiday. Then many of the people of the land became Jews, because fear of the Jews fell upon them.” Esther 8:16-17
God’s decree is the New Covenant given through Jesus Christ, and God is no longer exclusive to the Jewish people. “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” Romans 2:28-29 Being a Jewish person inwardly through the Spirit, we are filled with the light of Jesus Christ, we live in gladness and not gloom, agony, and despair, and we feel honor not degradation.
Since the birth of Jesus Christ, His death, resurrection, and ascension into Heaven, many people have come to fear God through Him. The decree sent to all of humankind is this, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
