Israel has set up idols in their heart and are estranged from God.
Israel has set up idols in their heart and why should God hear them? “Now some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me. And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity. Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?” Ezekiel 14:1-3

The elders of Israel are the leaders of the Jewish people. They came to Ezekiel because he knew the word of God and they wanted some information from Ezekiel. God revealed to Ezekiel that those leaders of the people were spiritually corrupt. They had set up idols in their heart, which refers to having their spirit and soul filled and guided with something other than the word of God. The idols of their heart led them to stumble into sin. God poses the question, “Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?”

Today, the Jewish leaders have an idol in their heart and are leading themselves and the Jewish people to stumble into sin. The Jewish culture has thrown out Jesus Christ from their heart as they have discarded the entire New Testament and live only by the Old Testament. God wants them to hear His Son, Jesus Christ, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” Matthew 17:5 The Jewish people do not hear Jesus Christ, and make inquiries of God only through the Old Testament, and God asks the question, “Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?”

Today, there is an entity that has set itself up in the heart of the masses of people around the world. People have set up this entity in their heart by welcoming it to give them what to think, feel, do, and say. This entity is the one “...who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click for a post on the “man of sin”. We are created by God to be the Temple of the Holy Spirit, not the temple of this entity that gives what to think and feel. God asks the question, “Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?” As we see in the next verses, the answer is “No”. That’s because this entity causes people to stumble into sin by rejecting God, Jesus Christ, and the presence of the Holy Spirit as it enables the image of the beast to speak and live through people. The masses of the global culture are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

Today, we see how the Israelis riot and protest against their own government of Israel to demand conformity with the goals of the United Nations. They have set up the idol in their heart that leads them into rebellion against God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They have joined with the masses of the global culture that serves the entity giving them what to feel, say, do, and think. This entity synchronizes the actions of the masses of people across the globe and makes their voice as one. God asks, “Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?”

The Lord will personally deal with those who live for the idol within their heart. “Therefore speak to them, and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Everyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will answer him who comes, according to the multitude of his idols,” Ezekiel 14:4

God says to Ezekiel that He will personally deal with those who set up idols in the heart. Ezekiel will not have to reply to those who come to him with bad intentions, spiritual corruption, and wickedness in their heart. That’s because God is the only One who can reach into the soul and spirit and deal with people accordingly. In God’s Holiness, His answer to sin, corruption, and wickedness is fury and wrath. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

Today, the Jewish culture is so hardened against the will of God for them to accept Jesus Christ that only God can answer their sin from His Holiness. As we see happening in the State of Israel, the Israelis have been in 18 wars since the State of Israel was established in 1948, Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page. God is answering them according to their hardened and spiritually corrupt heart. If the Jewish people had opened their heart to receive Jesus Christ 2000 years ago, the Jewish State of Israel would never have existed. Instead of being Jewish, they would be Christian. As Christians, we do not have a nation on this earth to call our own, our nation is the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth.

Today, everyone has set up an idol in their heart, and that idol is the entity giving people what to think, feel, do, and say. “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8 The “him” in this verse is the beast of the image and mark of the beast. The entity giving people what to think and feel enables the image of the beast to speak and live within people as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. The Lord will answer their spiritual wickedness in the fury of His Holiness. “If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:17

God is able to turn a hard and stony heart to flesh for those who believe Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Spirit, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18

God will seize Israel by the heart for leaving Him for idols. “…that I may seize the house of Israel by their heart, because they are all estranged from Me by their idols.”’ Ezekiel 14:5

Today, we see the house of Israel being seized by the heart. They must feel extremely unwanted in this world as they are being battered from all sides, politically and territorially. That is the wrath of God’s judgment coming against them because they are estranged from Him. The will of God for them is to be Christians, with no nation to call their own on this earth. As Christians, our nation is the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. Because the Jewish people rejected Jesus Christ 200 years ago, and continue to insist on being their own people, God gathered them to their own nation in 1948 to unleash His judgment on them. They must feel heartbroken in their estrangement from God.

In a sense, the Jewish culture is the idol set up in the heart of the Jewish people, and God is seizing them by their heart in bringing destruction to them, “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you.” Ezekiel 22:19-20

The Israelis are also estranged from God by serving the idol of this world. As we see today, the Israelis protest and riot against their own government to demand conformity to the goals of the United Nations. They are serving the entity that gives them what to think, feel do and say which is the driving force of the masses of people around the world. This entity enables the image of the beast to speak and live through the masses of people to put the global culture in synch to the goals of the world government. Around the world, the global culture riot and protest against the existence of Israel. The masses of the global culture are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. God is, and will continue, to seize the heart of Israel for being estranged from Him.

God deals personally with those who do not turn away from the idols of the heart.
God says to turn away from the idols within the heart. “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations.” Ezekiel 14:6

God wants each one of us, including the Jewish people, to turn away from the idol of the heart. Today, that idol is the entity that has power over physiology to give people what to feel, think, say, and do. This idol is an intense dislike to God, an abomination to Him, because it is not possible to believe Him and serve that idol at the same time. That entity hardens the spirit and conscience against belief in God, builds a wall against coming to Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin, and oppresses the presence of the Holy Spirit. God calls us to turn away from that idol to receive Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

“Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before…” Acts 3″17-20

God deals personally with those living by the idols of the heart. “For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who separates himself from Me and sets up his idols in his heart and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, then comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I the Lord will answer him by Myself.” Ezekiel 14:7 

Any one of the Jewish people, or any person on this earth, who separates from God by rejecting Jesus Christ and oppressing the Holy Spirit, God will answer that person personally. There is only so much that we can do as Christians to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to others. Those of this world has become hardened against the voice of the Holy Spirit, as Jesus Christ said, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:4-5 The work is to bring the testimony of Jesus to others, but the day is far gone, and the night is on us.

The entity with power over physiology to give people what to feel and think is causing people to stumble in what they say and do. People are falling from belief in Jesus Christ and are destroying the temple of God, our body as the temple of the Holy Spirit. God will answer them Himself, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

God cuts off from his family those who live for the idol of the heart. “I will set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of My people. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 14:8

The “man” whom God sets His face against is the one who separates himself from God and sets up an idol in the heart. This includes every person of the Jewish culture because they have turned away from the will of God for them to receive Jesus Christ. It can be said that they have made the Jewish nation their idol. They have been cut off from God’s people, and His people now includes those who live for Him through Jesus Christ, as quoted, “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” Romans 2:28-29

“Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Luke 3:8-9

To be made a “sign and a proverb” is not a good thing, Israel is nation of people that everyone is talking about but not in a good way. In today’s world, no one wants to be like Israel because they have hostility coming at them from all directions. The masses of the global culture riot and protest against their existence and the members of the United Nations are also against the independence of the State of Israel.

In today’s culture, the masses of people have turned away from belief in God and have set up an idol in their heart. This idol is the entity that gives them what to think, feel, do, and say. It sets in the heart of people, the temple of God, as if it is God, “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click for a post on the “man of sin”. God sets His face against every person who serves this entity, and they will not be part of the body of Christ, “But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:33-35

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13

Those of today’s global culture are a sign and a proverb referring to being seen as the global culture of the government of the beast. They are a sign and a proverb of tribulation and chaos. Global warming is here of Fourth Plague, which leads to the destruction of the power center of the beast in Fifth Plague, which leads to the Battle of Armageddon in the Sixth Plague, then the Day of the Lord and the return of Jesus Christ.

The false prophets of Israel are punished the same as those who follow them.
God comes against those who speak from the Bible without the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “And if the prophet is induced to speak anything, I the Lord have induced that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel.” Ezekiel 14:9

Within the Jewish culture, they have their prophets who are induced to speak. They are speaking from the Old Testament scriptures, and those scriptures are the inspired word of God, thus the Lord has induced those prophets to speak. However, they have discarded the entire New Testament [the Gospel of Jesus Christ], and for that reason God stretches out His hand against the Jewish people. As we see today, Israel is being destroyed and not counted among the people of God, “…you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:26-27

The prophets of the Old Testament are how God used to speak to His people, but today, He speaks to us through His Son Jesus Christ, “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things…” Hebrew 1:1 This means that the Old Testament is a huge extension of the New Testament because the whole Bible is about Jesus Christ. In fact, “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10 If we want to see where the world is within prophecy, we only have to see where Jesus is within the world.

Only Jesus Christ is the true Bread of Life on which the spirit and soul is fed, John 6:29-40. Unfortunately, there is an entity with power over physiology that induces people to speak by giving them what to feel and think. This entity feeds people with bread that leads to spiritual death, disbelief in God, disregard for Jesus Christ, and oppression of the Holy Spirit. God stretches out His hand against those who live by that entity and will destroy them from among the body of Christ. “If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:17

God punishes the false prophet the same as those who come to the false prophet. “And they shall bear their iniquity; the punishment of the prophet shall be the same as the punishment of the one who inquired,” Ezekiel 14:10

Today, the punishment of the Jewish leaders will be the same as the punishment of those who listen to them. The Jewish teachers and preachers teach the Jewish people to reject Jesus Christ and to live only by the Old Testament. They will bear their iniquity. Punishment comes to the Jewish leaders for teaching the people to do such things, and to the Jewish people for depending on human ministers above Jesus Christ. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.” Matthew 23:15

The Apostle Peter and fellow Apostles spoke these words to the Jewish leaders, “But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.” Acts 5:29-42

We live in a world today where the leader over the masses of people across the globe is the entity giving people what to think, feel, do, and say. This entity teaches people not to believe in God, to scoff at the need for the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ, and to oppress the presence of the Holy Spirit. This entity, as well as everyone who chooses to listen to it, will bear their sin. The punishment of both will include the destruction of this world system and eternity in hell beyond the grave. The entity that gives people what to think and feel enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. They are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

Salvation comes by believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

God punishes the House of Israel to restrain them from leaving Him to make them His people. ^“… that the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me, nor be profaned anymore with all their transgressions, but that they may be My people and I may be their God,” says the Lord God.’” Ezekiel 14:11

God punishes the Jewish preachers and teachers the same as the Jewish people who listen to them. That is to keep Israel from straying from Him, to prevent their profanity and sin, so that they would be His people and He would be their God. Jesus Christ was sent to the Jewish people for that purpose, “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:29

Today, there are no promises of blessings for the Jewish people in the New Testament, unless they come to God through Jesus Christ. All of the blessings mentioned for the Jewish people in the Old Testament have become the blessings of everyone who believe in Jesus. Jesus Christ speaks these words to the Jewish people, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Matthew 23:37-39

Today, we who believe in God through Jesus Christ and embrace the presence of the Holy Spirit are adopted into the house of Israel. We who believe Jesus Christ are the people of God and He is our God, as quoted, “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-13

“But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed…Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.” Romans 9:6-8, Galatians 3:16

 “As He says also in Hosea: “I will call them My people, who were not My people, and her beloved, who was not beloved.” “And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ There they shall be called sons of the living God.” Romans 9:25-26, Hosea 2:23
