Ezekiel 33 is a related chapter.
- We should fill up on the Holy Scriptures of the Bible.

- The entity with power over physiology sabotages the Gospel message with anger and bitterness.
- As followers of Jesus Christ, we are watchman with a word of warning.
- We are responsible to share the Gospel, but not for responses to the Gospel.
- We are responsible to help other Christians to stay on the narrow way.

We should fill up on the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. “Moreover He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that scroll.” Ezekiel 3:1-2
The Gospel of Jesus Christ needs to be brought to the Jewish people. Their Bible is the only the Old Testament as they discard the entire New Testament. They reject Jesus Christ as their Messiah, Lord, and Savior, and reject any prophecy pointing to Him as the Son of God and their Savior.
As followers of Jesus Christ, God wants us to ingest the Holy Scriptures, and whatever we are able to find to chew on is what we should be reading. The Holy Spirit will help us to digest it so that we can bring the Gospel of Christ to others, including the Jewish culture.
“And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you.” So I ate, and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness.” Ezekiel 3:3
God wants us to fill up on the words of the Holy Bible. The word is sweet like honey through the Spirit of Christ. There is Salvation for the whosoever and judgment against those who harm His people. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Israel and the world are unresponsive to the Gospel of Christ. “Then He said to me: “Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them.” Ezekiel 3:4
2000 years ago, Jesus Christ brought the Good News of the kingdom of God to the Jewish people. This is a message of being born again by the Spirit of God and not by the letter of the Old Testament law, “…not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” 2 Corinthians 3:6.
The Jewish people rejected the testimony of Jesus and refused to become Christians. Because they exalt the Jewish culture above the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they were given their nation called the State of Israel. God gathered them there in 1948 to execute the wrath of His judgment on them. Israel has been in 18 wars since they were established in 1948. There was even a war in 1948. Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page. If the Jewish people had received Jesus Christ, they would not be Jewish they would be Christian. If they were Christians, the State of Israel would never have existed because we do not have a nation on this earth to call our own. We look forward to our nation in the New Jerusalem within the new heaven and earth.
We are to speak the testimony of Jesus to the Jewish people and everyone who will hear.
“For you are not sent to a people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, but to the house of Israel, not to many people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, had I sent you to them, they would have listened to you.” Ezekiel 3:5-6
Ezekiel was not sent to people who had no idea what the Ten Commandments were, he was sent to the people of Israel who were well educated on the word of God. Jesus Christ Himself was sent to His own, “But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 15:24 If anyone was able to understand the message of Jesus Christ, it should have been the Jewish people.
The Gospel of Jesus was brought to us non-Jewish because we listen to Him, but the Jewish rejected Him, “Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’” Acts 13:46-47
As followers of Jesus Christ, God asks us to bring His Gospel to those whose spirit and soul are of good soil and receptive to the Good News. Those who are of an unfamiliar speech are people who are hardened in their spirit against Jesus and are oppressive to the Holy Spirit. The parable of the sower reveals the good soil and the unproductive soil.
“But the house of Israel will not listen to you, because they will not listen to Me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard-hearted.” Ezekiel 3:7
The Jewish people will not listen to the gospel of Jesus Christ because they are hard-hearted and impudent. That is why the Israelis are facing the wrath of God’ judgment within the State of Israel.
The Holy Spirit makes us strong in the face of those who reject Jesus Christ. “Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead strong against their foreheads.” Ezekiel 3:8
The Jewish population are very strong and adamant about the rejection of Jesus Christ as their Messiah, “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you. Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One,” Acts 7:51-52
The Holy Spirit says to us who follow Jesus Christ, “...let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:22-23 Likewise, we are not going to surrender our body, which is the home of the Holy Spirit, to become the seat of government for the entity that has power over physiology to give people their thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. The Holy Spirit has made our forehead strong against theirs.
“Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 3:9
God does not want us to be afraid nor dismayed at the hostile looks coming from the anti-Christian social network that are rebellious against the teachings of the Bible. God wants us to be strong in His word and in the Holy Spirit, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” Ephesians 6:10. Click here for a post on the hostile world around us from Psalms 73
“Moreover He said to me: “Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears.” Ezekiel 3:10
The word of God, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, needs to be received into our spirit and soul as a part of who we are. “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10:16-17
“And go, get to the captives, to the children of your people, and speak to them and tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ whether they hear, or whether they refuse.” Ezekiel 3:11
There are many who are captives to sin who need to hear about the remission of sin that comes through Jesus Christ, and the Jewish people are among those captives. Whether they listen or not, our responsibility is to share the Good News,
The entity with power over physiology sabotages the Gospel message with anger and bitterness.
“Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a great thunderous voice: “Blessed is the glory of the Lord from His place!” Ezekiel 3:12
When a person comes to God through Jesus Christ and receives the Holy Spriit, there is a thunderous voice of praise, “Blessed is the glory of the Lord from His place!” That is a time when we receive the commission to spread the testimony of Jesus Christ. “I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:7
“I also heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, and a great thunderous noise.” Ezekiel 3:13
Ezekiel also heard something else, and this thunderous noise comes from vision he saw in Ezekiel chapter one that relates to the space shuttle, space station, and the space satellite system. This vision relates to the entity that has power over physiology and gives people what to feel, think, say, and do.
“So the spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.” Ezekiel 3:14
Ezekiel was lifted up in the Spirit with praise to God, but at the same time he was filled with anger and bitterness associated with the vision seen in Ezekiel 1. Through it all, the hand of the Lord was on Ezekiel.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we want to be lifted up in Jesus Christ for the praise of God. We want to be a witness for Him in our spirit and in spreading His Gospel. At the same time, the entity with power over physiology wants to fill us with anger and bitterness to sabotage the ability to spread the Good News. Even so, the hand of the Lord’s Holiness will be on us in a strong way.
“Then I came to the captives at Tel Abib, who dwelt by the River Chebar; and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.’ Ezekiel 3:15
Ezekiel is filled with anger and bitterness but at the same time has the commission to share the word of God to the captives of the Israelites. What does he do? Because the hand of God was on him in a strong way, he sat among them for seven days, not speaking a word. He was able to refrain from speaking a word or doing anything in the spirit of bitterness or anger. He sat in astonishment without saying a word or doing anything.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we have a commission to spread His Gospel to the captives of sin. We may have many different feelings that cause us to lash out in anger and bitterness at those who incite debate, conflict, and friction when the Gospel of Christ is spoken. When the Holy Spirit lives in us, we walk in Holiness in what we say and do. The best we can do when we are among those who detest Jesus Christ is to keep our mouth closed and refrain from doing anything. We may find we are quieter and reserved more than we are talkative and interactive. “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” James 1:19-20
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are watchman with a word of warning.
“Now it came to pass at the end of seven days that the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:” Ezekiel 3:16-17
“At the end of seven days” refers to after Ezekiel sat for seven days among the captives of the Israelites. During those seven days, he was filled with anger and bitterness and did not speak a word or do a thing. He did not want to speak the word of God with an angry and bitter tone. At the end of those seven days, the Lord informs Ezekiel that he has been made a watchman for the house of Israel. Without anger and bitterness, Ezekiel is to give the Israelites the warning given by God.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are never to share the word of God with bitterness and anger, but with peace, meekness, and gentleness. In the Spirit of God’s love, we are to bring others the warning given to us through the word of God. “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:17 We are the watch people over the captives of sin. We want to prepare them for the coming of Jesus Christ and the inheritance of eternal life that comes by believing in Him.
The world government of the beast has created a global culture that denies the existence of God the Creator. They reject the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ and oppress the presence of the Holy Spirit. In place of the spirit and human conscience, people are living by the entity that gives them what to feel, think, say, and do. This entity enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
The message we bring to the culture of this world is that God has created us to be the temple of the Holy Spirit, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16 We give a warning against becoming the temple of the one who governs through thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. This is the one “… who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click here for a post on the “man of sin”. The warning is that, “…If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:17
Whether anyone listens to us or not, we share the word of God, like “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low;” Isaiah 40:3-4
Some of the warnings in the word of God are as follows; Global warming is here which plays a part in destroying the power center of the beast (Revelation 16:8-11), which renders the global government of the beast powerless. With the world government being powerless, the Battle of Armageddon enters, Revelation 16:12-16. The global government of the beast is operating through the United Nations as described in Daniel 8 and also Revelation 17, and we are seeing the fulfillment of Revelation 13. These are things we warn this world about, and we pray they come to know the love of God through Jesus Christ for the remission of sin.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
We are responsible to share the Gospel, but not for responses to the Gospel.
“When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.” Ezekiel 3:18
Jesus Christ came to say to the Jewish people (sons of the kingdom) that they will die in their sin and to give them warning to reconcile to God through Him. They rejected Him as their Messiah, Lord, and Savior, and they will be cast into eternal hell, “… sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:11-12
Today, the Jewish people live by the Old Testament as their Bible and discards the entirety of the Gospel of Christ. They have been warned but refuse to share the consequences of sin and death that comes from rejecting the will of God. His will is for us to live for Jesus Christ. Because the Jewish leaders refuse to present Jesus to the Jewish people, they have blood on their hands. The Jewish people are dying in their sin.
There is a lot of blood on the hands of the Israeli leaders who refuse to bring their people to Jesus Christ. If they were Christians, they would not be Jewish, and the State of Israel would not exist. Christians do not have a nation on this earth to call their own, we look forward to the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth. Because Jesus Christ is not preached, bloodshed has existed in Israel since the year the State of Israel was established in 1948. Israel has been involved in 18 wars since 1948. Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we want to share the His gospel to warn of the consequences of sin. If we willingly let someone die in their wickedness, like a sadist, then the wickedness lives in our own spirit and soul. We want to be live by God’s love, to share the Good News of hope in Jesus Christ, and to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.” Ezekiel 3:19
Today, the whole world lives by the entity that gives them what to think, feel, do, and say. They close the ears of their heart to the Good News of Jesus Christ. Instead, they listen to that entity that enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through them. The global culture refuse to turn from their spiritual wickedness as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. They will die in their sin but we who hold to the testimony of Jesus will be saved.
“All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 3:8 The “him” in this verse refers to the beast associated with the image and mark of the beast.
We may not see one single person receive Jesus Christ during our entire life, but that doesn’t matter, we only need to lift up the name of Jeus as we can. Jesus said, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:4-5
We are responsible to help other Christians to stay on the narrow way. “Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die…” Ezekiel 3:20a.
The Jewish leaders, and the people that followed them, thought of themselves as being righteous. They were the keepers of the word of God and everyone else were unclean Gentiles. However, when they rejected Jesus Christ, they turned from the will of God for their life. Their righteousness became sin. Today, the Jewish people continue to turn from the righteousness found in Jesus Christ. God laid the stumbling block of Jesus Christ in front of them, “…but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness,” 1 Corinthians 1:23
As followers of Jesus Christ, if we turn from God, and leave from living for Jesus Christ, and oppress the presence of the Holy Spirit, we will die spiritually. When we turn from the righteousness we have in Jesus Christ, we commit sin against Him and He becomes a stumbling block to us. He becomes a stumbling block because sin runs into many obstacles in life.
“…because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.” Ezekiel 3:20b.
The righteousness the Jewish people once had before they rejected Jesus Christ will not be remembered. God has invested all of His righteousness in Jesus Christ, and we who live for Him are counted as righteous. “But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe.” Romans 3:21-22 The Jewish leaders have a responsibility to say to the Jewish people that the Torah does not bring righteousness with God. Because they do not point to Jesus Christ as their righteousness, blood is on their hands.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we have a desire to keep fellow Christians on the path of Holiness. Once a follower of Christ turns from His righteousness, all that was done will not be remembered. If we allow spiritual wickedness to live in us, and we cold-heartedly allow our fellow Christians to reject righteousness, we will be held responsible.
While many have turned away from the love of God and His Son Jesus Christ, there is nothing we can do about their decision. However, if we see someone struggling in living for Jesus Christ, we must say a word that might keep the person in the will of God. If we do nothing, it’s like a doctor who turns away from a patient who needs tender, loving, care. The blood of the patient would be on the doctor’s hands.
The righteousness done by a Christian who turns away from God will not be remembered when they start grieving the Holy Spirit. It’s not possible to build a Christian retirement account and expect to live on that while living for the entity giving them what to feel, think, do, and say. This entity enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people and they detest God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit by what they say and do. When living by this entity, the past merit of a Christian is no longer remembered. Unfortunately, people in every city around the world conform to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
“Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul.” Ezekiel 3:21
There are Jewish people who have reconciled with God through Jesus Christ. They have exchanged their righteousness of living by the Torah for the righteousness of living for Jeus Christ. “…the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed…even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe.” Any converted Jewish person who turns a fellow Jew to Jesus Christ will deliver his soul.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we want to guide good people into the Good News of Jesus Christ. We want the well-meaning in this world to realize that we must not deny God, must not reject the remission of sin through Jesus, and must not oppress the Holy Spirit. We want to warn the righteous not to sin. The righteousness of human beings is filthy rags compared to the righteousness of God. Guiding a person into the path of Holiness brings spiritual life to that person and also brings deliverance to our soul.
“Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.” James 5:19-20 Anyone guiding someone into the love of God to live for Jesus Christ is 100% in the will of God and finds Salvation for the soul.
The people of God are confined from circulating among mainstream society.
“Then the hand of the Lord was upon me there, and He said to me, “Arise, go out into the plain, and there I shall talk with you. So I arose and went out into the plain, and behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory which I saw by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face.” Ezekiel 3:22-23
Ezekiel needed some private time with the Lord God on the plain. He had been sent to preach God’s word to the house of Israel, but they were stubborn and hard-hearted. When Ezekiel was first given the word of God to speak to them, he heard the sound of the entity mentioned in Ezekiel 1. In the presence of that entity, he was filled with bitterness and anger and with a propulsion to go to the house of Israel. For seven days, he remained silent in the company of those rebellious to the will of God, restraining his tongue and behavior from expressing anger and bitterness. The hand of the Lord was on Ezekiel in his silence. “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;” James 1:19
In the plain, Ezekiel saw the glory of the Lord, like the glory of the Lord when he saw the vision by the River Chebar. That is the vision of the space shuttle, space station, and space satellites as described in Ezekiel 1. That space technology is associated with the entity that gives people what to think, feel, do, and say which enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. The masses of people around the world conform to the global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. Ezekiel was told to shut himself into his house.
“Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet, and spoke with me and said to me: “Go, shut yourself inside your house.” Ezekiel 3:24
After meeting with the Lord in the plain, Ezekiel was instructed to lock himself in his house away from those hardened to the will of God. We live in a world where Christians are made to feel unwelcomed within society. There is hostility towards belief in God the Creator and those of this world detest being referred to as sinners who need Jesus Christ to forgive their sin. They abhor us who share the Gospel of Christ. They see the Holy Spirit as someone to oppress, exploit, manipulate, and kill. God tells us through the Holy Spirit and the Gospel of Christ to “Go, shut yourself inside your house.” “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.” Revelation 18:4-5
“And you, O son of man, surely they will put ropes on you and bind you with them, so that you cannot go out among them.” Ezekiel 3:25
As followers of Jesus Christ, we willingly set ourselves apart from the ways of this world. Even so, the spiritually hardened people take it a step further and keep the influence of the Gospel confined. After Ezekiel locked himself in his house, those rebellious to God took it a step further and decided to bind Ezekiel to keep him locked in his own house.
We followers of Jesus Christ voluntarily set ourselves apart from the spiritually hardened world to serve God through Jesus. On top of that, the global culture makes sure we don’t circulate within their social network. As the Holy Spirit says, “…they will put ropes on you and bind you with them, so that you cannot go out among them.”
The ropes being used to bind us who desire to share the Gospel of Christ come through the entity that gives people their thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. This entity enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. They are empowered with uncanny knowledge and heightened intuition to afflict those living by the Holy Spirit. What we are thinking is being afflicted, what we are feeling is being afflicted, how we behave towards others is being afflicted, and the words we would like to say are being afflicted. They are making it clear that Christianity is not free to circulate through their community. People everywhere conform to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
The “he” in this verse is the beast associated with the image and mark of the beast. “Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:6-8
“I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be mute and not be one to rebuke them, for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 3:26
Rejecting God has a terrible consequence: it cuts off people from hearing the Gospel of Christ, which offers Salvation for the spirit and soul and grants eternal life. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 The global culture has turned a deaf ear to the testimony of Jesus, so God has made our tongue cling to the roof of our mouth. There is no one to share the words of life to the global culture. They choose to hear the entity giving them what to feel, say, think, and do.
When people turn a deaf ear to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and rebel against the will of God, they are turning away from the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is taken away, lawlessness and anti-social behavior begin to flourish, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8
“But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 3:27
From time to time, there will be an opportunity for us to say a word on behalf of the love of God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a time of sharing from the Holy Bible not a time of trying to bring someone to their knees in submission to our Lord Jesus Christ. The attitude at this time is, “…here is the word of God, if you hear you hear and if you don’t you don’t”.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
