The defendant’s lies to David are mixed with truth to deflect guilt: When facing Jesus Christ in the judgment lies mixed with truth don’t work.

2 Samuel 1:6-10

“Then the young man who told him said, “As I happened by chance to be on Mount Gilboa, there was Saul, leaning on his spear; and indeed the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.” 2 Samuel 1:6

Liars spin a whole lot of truth into their account of a situation, but only to turn the whole story around to make them look free of guilt and righteous in the eyes of those they are speaking to. The defendant who David was questioning was not on Mt. Gilboa by chance, he was one of Saul’s spiritually wicked men conspiring to kill David. It was true that Saul was leaning on his spear and that the Philistines were coming to put a finish to Saul’s life. However, the lying defendant was there purposely with Saul, not by chance, and when he saw the Philistines coming, he ran.

“Now when he looked behind him, he saw me and called to me. And I answered, ‘Here I am.’ And he said to me, ‘Who are you?’ So I answered him, ‘I am an Amalekite.’” 2 Samuel 1:7-8

The lying defendant “hopped out of the frying pan into the fire” with the lie he gave in the verse above. He was trying to hop out of the “frying pan” by saying he had no connection with the spiritual wickedness of Saul, but “hopped into the fire” by lying and saying he was an Amalekite. The Amalekites plundered David’s village when David was gone and took all of David’s family and the families of his men captive (1 Samuel 30:1). David retaliated against the Amalekites, recovered all that was taken, and left none of the Amalekites alive, except for a few who had escaped (1 Samuel 30:17)This is like those of this world telling Jesus Christ they had nothing to do with Israel but were among those who plundered and took captive those faithful to Jesus Christ.

“He said to me again, ‘Please stand over me and kill me, for anguish has come upon me, but my life still remains in me.’ So I stood over him and killed him, because I was sure that he could not live after he had fallen. And I took the crown that was on his head and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them here to my lord.” 2 Samuel 1:9-10

The lying defendant thought that he would be something of a hero by telling David he put Saul out of his misery after being severely wounded. That’s like those of this world boasting about playing a role in the death of Israel. The verses below expose the lie of the defendant and describe how Saul and his sons really died,

The battle became fierce against Saul. The archers hit him, and he was severely wounded by the archers.

Then Saul said to his armorbearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised men come and thrust me through and abuse me.”

But his armorbearer would not, for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword and fell on it. And when his armorbearer saw that Saul was dead, he also fell on his sword, and died with him. So Saul, his three sons, his armorbearer, and all his men died together that same day

.1 Samuel 31:3-6

On top of taking credit for the death of Saul, the lying defendant truthfully said that he took Saul’s crown and bracelet. The crown would be like the status of Israel being declared a nation in 1948 by the hand of God according to Bible prophecy. For the crown to be stolen by those of the global government of the beast is for the State of Israel to lose their place as a nation within the world. Today, the United Nations have already labeled them an international outlaw due to the government of Israel violating their rules of global peace and security. The bracelet relates to something the warriors wore in battle to make an intimidating noise during their march. Nowadays, the noise of the march of the State of Israel’s police and military actions are being outlawed and taken from them.

The lie of the defendant is like telling a father of a wayward child that the death of the child, while lost in the world, was at your hand. Not only telling them you were responsible for the child’s death, but you had personal possessions of the child to prove it. It would infuriate the father to a boiling rage, even if it was a lie. Likewise, God does not want to hear anyone gloating about having a part in Israel’s death. Israel is the wayward child of God, and He will handle the judgment of Israel Himself. God’s judgment comes against Israel by the hands of the global government of the beast. If Israel refuses to reconcile to God through Jesus Christ, then they will be condemned to eternal hell like everyone else who rejects His Son. Even so, the full fury of God’s wrath comes against those of this world who despise and maliciously speak against Israel. The deeds of those in this world will be judged.

Lies mixed with truth is what this anti-Christian world is built on. Those who live and govern by the thing giving them what to say, think, do, and feel have only one intention, to be on top. The thing forming their thoughts and feelings enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them to make sure lies and truth are well placed to put down any opposition or threat to them. Those living for the “democratic” global culture are conformed to their place in society, not by truth and righteousness, but by being groomed to the mark of the beast. They are hostile and belittling as they scoff at and ridicule the reality of the existence of God, the Truth of the Gospel of Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
