David Brings Healing Music: God Sends Healing Music through Jesus Christ

A distressing spirit arises when the Holy Spirit is departed. “But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him.” 1 Samuel 16:14 When the Holy Spirit leaves, He leaves because of behaviors and attitudes against Him. When the Holy Spirit departs, the door opens to many distresses, such as said here, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7 The Holy Spirit restrains lawlessness.

The thing that has power over our emotions, feelings, and what we do is hostile to the Holy Spirit and replaces Him by enabling the image of the beast to live and speak through a person. This world is already seeing distressed spirits and it will increase as the world progresses with the global government of the beast. It progresses into the global tribulation and the eventual collapse of this world’s governing system. Just like when Saul was eventually dethroned at his suicide/death in battle.

The idea of trying to soothe a distressing spirit with music. “And Saul’s servants said to him, “Surely, a distressing spirit from God is troubling you.” 1 Samuel 16:15 There are a zillion reasons why the Spirit of God troubles those who are not obedient to the word of God, and the distressing spirit is obvious to everyone around. The international leaders of the global government of the beast are distressed by the Spirit of God in the world. It’s obvious that the Gospel of Christ has disappeared from the churches, government lawmaking, the educational system, and every sector of society. They are distressed because the Holy Spirit lives within people instead of the body being their seat of government through the thing which forms what we think, feel, and do.

“Let our master now command your servants, who are before you, to seek out a man who is a skillful player on the harp. And it shall be that he will play it with his hand when the distressing spirit from God is upon you, and you shall be well.” 1 Samuel 16:16 Many people say that music is soothing to the soul, but if the soul is hostile to soothing music, then it causes more distress. More specifically, when the soothing music is in conflict with the thing that forms feelings and thoughts it causes a hostile reaction.

Global leaders seek to calm the distressed world with sweet sounds. “So Saul said to his servants, “Provide me now a man who can play well, and bring him to me.” 1 Samuel 16:17 The leaders of today have their hands full in trying to find people who can perform well to bring peace to the distressing spirit in the world. Churchy and humanitarian sounding words are used to describe everything that they do in order to calm distresses, and music to them is just an emotional benefit and not spiritual.

The killing of unborn babies is called “Reproductive Rights,” the promotion of the LGBTQ+ community is called the “Respect for Marriage Act,” etc. That is their version of sweet-sounding music to relieve emotional distresses of sinful behavior. All of the sweet-sounding music is topped off by promoting the “democratic” society of individual human dignity, respect, and esteem. They are embracing humanism rooted in the image and mark of the beast, which emphasizes the human being and discards the need for Jesus Christ.

Music, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. “Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.” 1 Samuel 16:18 The son of Jesse, whom the servants of Saul were referring to was David, the one whom God chose to be king of the Israelites.

David is symbolic of Jesus Christ who is a man who makes war against evil spirits and is valiant in His fight against the enemies of the Holy Spirit. Music with Jesus Christ is praise and worship to God in the Holy Spirit and uplifts His name. That is the music that should be in the churches today, but instead it has been replaced with emotionally soothing, upbeat, and happy sounding music. It does nothing to worship God in the name of Jesus and is not of the Holy Spirit.

Below is an example of emotionally soothing, uplifting, and happy sounding music that has nothing to do with serving God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The god they are worshipping has nothing to do with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and has everything to do with worshipping the thing that has the power to “move” emotions and feelings. It’s a worship song for those who live by the image and mark of the beast.

“Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said, “Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.” 1 Samuel 16:19 David was not just a talented musician, but he was also a shepherd over sheep. Jesus Christ is the shepherd over His sheep and His music is to minister to them to worship God through the Holy Spirit in His name.

The music that comes through Jesus Christ is what every person who has a distressing spirit should desire to experience. It’s the Holy Spirit filled music which uplifts the name of Jesus that the shepherds over the flock of Christians should want to have with them. It nourishes the human spirit by the Spirit of Christ.

“And Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine, and a young goat, and sent them by his son David to Saul.” 1 Samuel 16:20 David was sent with gifts to give to the distressed Saul, and God sent Jesus Christ as a gift to a distressed world. The donkey represents the peace and humility of Jesus, the bread is Jesus as the Bread of Life, the wine is the blood Jesus shed on the Cross to sprinkle on the altar of our soul for cleansing, and the goat is Jesus as the sacrifice made for sin. The gift of music brought to a distressed world through Jesus Christ can be sung by these words,

Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?

In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?

The Spirit of Christ brings peace and soothing intentions towards worldly leaders. “So David came to Saul and stood before him. And he loved him greatly, and he became his armorbearer.” 1 Samuel 16:21 Saul loved David and assigned David to carry his weapons. Jesus Christ wants to impart peace and comfort to those who govern in cities, states, nations, and globally. However, in exchange, they want to weaponize the Spirit of Christ, which is to weaponize the followers of Christ. It’s the type of weaponization which corrupts the Holy Spirit and motivates behavior on behalf of those who govern through the thing which forms what we do, think, and feel. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people.

“Then Saul sent to Jesse, saying, “Please let David stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.” 1 Samuel 16:22 Jesus Christ gives government rulers every reason to see Him as a person of peaceful and soothing intentions. As Christians, we have no feelings of malintent towards those in authority, as written, “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.” Romans 13:3

Today, Christianity is being persecuted even though we play soothing music to those around us. They want nothing to do with the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, nor God. Eventually, that is the persecution which David faced from Saul when David played the harp for him.

Whenever we run across distressed and disturbed spirits within the “democratic” society of the beast, our response is one of peace and soothing intentions, “And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.” 1 Samuel 16:23 The music which Jesus Christ brings is able to soothe the soul, but those in today’s society only enjoys music as long as it has nothing to do with the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
